Chapter 21 - Time to Fish.

Beef!

Beef!!

He said it was beef!!

Ulrich, that's not what you'd call beef. If anything that's what you would call Blood Enemies.

Ulrich had over fifty Blood Enemies from what I was able to gather from the couple of journals that he gave me.

Thirty of them were from bandit groups that had anywhere between fifty to at least thousands of members. And all of them at least had more than three, Rank: General leaders, vice leaders, or brothers.

Ten of them were an underground gang with at least the same number of members if not more than then the bandits. Luckily the underground gangs had a code of honor amongst themselves as they only focused on the one they were Blood Enemies with.

Hopefully they will ignore me. And won't add me to the list of Blood Enemies by proxy.

Then Ulrich had blood with ten of the most powerful Cults.

I didn't even read the information about the Cults as I skipped over it. As I knew even their weakest Cultist could kill me with just their pinky finger. I couldn't even imagine what drove Ulrich to become enemies with them as their minimum requirement to join was that one had to be at the Rank: General.

So either Ulrich had to have started his feud with them when they were just beginning or Ulrich was a terrifying person when he was at the top tier of the Rank: Human.

And I won't even talk about the remaining banished powers.

I will only say that the strongest one was a former Arch-Duke and she had the Rank: Warlord. And even though she was considered the strongest of the banished powers, the most terrifying thing about her was that she had the remaining banished powers kissing her feet.

"Either I'm the unluckiest summoned Otherworlder or the luckiest." I sighed aloud as I looked across the lake. "At least this fishing rod Siegbald gave me is nice."

"Still I would have thought that they would have at least sent someone to look for the dead priest and squire." I said aloud as my lure started to gently bob. "I mean I doubt that they would have cared for the squire, but they should at least care enough about the priest as it seemed he seemed to have advanced his rank."

It had been four days since they passed and it seemed as if nobody cared for them or were even concerned about their disappearance.

"Well at least the fishing has been peaceful as it has allowed me to properly plan out my next course of action." I started to smile as my lure started to go under as I gave my fishing rod a good tug as I easily hooked a fish and started the process of reeling it in.

It was quite the fighter as it almost pulled me into the lake a couple times and continued to fight me for a solid twenty minutes until it seemed to lose its momentum.

It was a beautiful fish as it looked to be a cross between a carp and an eel. Long with an amber brown color, razor sharp teeth that could easily remove your hand, and seemed to weigh over fifty pounds.

"Well that seems to be quite the catch, Bastion. But shouldn't you be trying to prepare yourself to get stronger?" A familiar voice sounded behind me as my smile started to fade.

"Yes it is indeed quite the catch. And what do you think I'm doing Ulrich?" I shook my head as I put my catch into my Inventory. "Even though it may look like I'm fishing, which I am. I am also making plans to head to the location of one of the weakest bandits you have 'beef' with."

"Good, that should be quite the challenge for you then." Ulrich said as he stood next to me. "But just make sure you don't go too far and antagonize one of their Vice Leaders."

I could only nod my head as I started to recall the information about The Red Boar Bandits and the structure of their group.

"Well as long as I don't mess with their precious Red Boars then I should be fine. As from what your notes said they seem to be a little too fond of them." I crossed my arms as I looked to the East. "Plus I doubt they would take me seriously, especially since I'm going to be using a shovel."

Ulrich laughed a little as he nodded his head in agreement. "That's true, but I would make sure you don't get into it as, even though they are the weakest on that list, they also have quite the powerful small unit of Red Boar Riders that could make things problematic if you don't pay attention."

"I shouldn't have to worry all too much about them as I already have a plan to make that unit unavailable when I take action." I stood to my feet as I started to dust myself off. "Why do you think I've been fishing?"

Ulrich seemed to smile as a slightly evil laugh escaped his throat.

"Good! Then it seems I don't have to worry all too much about your campaign. Enjoy yourself out there Bastion." Ulrich said as he started to walk away. "But make sure you keep your eyes and ears open. Even though the Cult of the Blue Sky hasn't done anything yet. Doesn't mean that they won't."

Ulrich continued with his slightly evil laugh as I mentally thanked him for his reminder as I wasn't all too worried about any retaliation from them.

"Well, I should probably start to head to the Eastern Black Woods and start my fishing trip then shouldn't I."

I smiled as I put away my fishing rod and started preparing for my fishing and possible boar hunting trip.
