"Good morning, mom." Noah yawned before rubbing his eyes and sitting straight up.
"Happy birthday!" Erika exclaimed before wrapping her arms around Noah and kissing him on the forehead.
Noah let himself receive some of his mother's love, smiling the entire time. Erika's personality was enough to cheer him up even during his worst times.
"Are you ready to see your soul book?" Erika inquired, pulling away at last.
"I sure am," Noah replied before raising his right hand, his eyes keeping track of Erika's eyes. "Summon Soul book."
A whooshing sound echoed through the room as Noah's black soul book appeared in his hands. Erika eyed the book with vague interest before touching it with her index finger.
A Soul book could normally only be touched and used by the person to who it belonged. But with the consent of the person, his or her Soul book could be touched by their parents.
"Mind if I check your status page?" Erika politely asked for permission as Noah nodded without a second thought.
What awaited Erika was a huge surprise in the form of three question marks. She had to rub her eyes twice just to make sure that she was reading the correct thing.
With one more look at the intelligence and mana stat, Erika stared at Noah with slightly parted eyes.
"Damn Noah… I thought you wouldn't get these question marks but I guess I was wrong. You are just like me." Erika sighed alongside raising her right hand. "Summon soul book."
WHOOSH!
The next second, Erika was holding a blood-red Soul book in her hands. Her full name 'Erika Vin Kairo' was written across the front in pure black, the opposite of how it was written on Noah's Soul book.
Erika extended her hand toward Noah and offered her soul book to him. The latter stared at it for a split second before holding it with both of his hands.
Similar to how one could give his or her parents their Soul book, a parent could give their children their own Soul book to see as well.
"Flip to the status page," Erika instructed as Noah opened the Soul Book and flipped the pages until he reached the status page.

Most of the information on Erika's status page was hidden from Noah's eyes, as chosen by her, except for her agility and dexterity stats.
"Wow…" Noah was left shaken by the fact that his mother had not one but two stats with the '???' values in them.
Though his was more useful for using anything skill-related, Erika's was more suited for anything physical.
"You got luckier, or unluckier, I guess," Erika commented before taking her book back and handing Noah his book.
Noah nodded his head in agreement as he was over the initial shock of seeing double-maxed-out values. This hadn't happened in his previous life and neither had Erika ever shown her Soul book to him.
The change of events also made him wonder how stronger his mother could actually be if she was forced to go all out.
"Oh crap!" Erika's eyes suddenly roamed over to the clock in Noah's rooms, giving her the shock of how quickly time went by before something important happened.
Erika then looked down at her clothes before facepalming. She herself had woken up late, having taken a leave for her son's birthday, and hadn't even changed out of her bedclothes.
"We will eat breakfast outside. Hurry up and get ready!" Erika urged once before dashing back to her room.
Noah noticed how it took her less than a second to dash out of his room and make her way toward her room.
He, however, didn't have enough time to ponder about it further and had to get up to get ready for the day.
Noah immediately started his day by entering the bathroom and spending an hour inside, out of which thirty minutes were spent in the shower.
He came out with a towel wrapped across his body and rummaged around his closet for a while, trying to figure out what to choose.
'Ha, who am I kidding? I only have blue, black, or white clothes to choose from.' Noah sighed while taking out a pair of black jeans, a white shirt, and a black leather jacket.
He quickly changed into his new clothes before taking a look at himself in the mirror and nodding.
'I look good in these.' Noah self-praised himself alongside noticing the new color of his eyes.
They were a bloody shade of red and very much looked as though they belonged to a convict who hadn't slept for weeks.
The dark circles below his eyes added extra effect to Noah's edgy teenager looks, not mentioning his clothes at the same time.
'Wait, I almost forgot about that.' Noah suddenly remembered the pineapple phone he had taken from Sukhma's house.
He quickly dug it out from the pocket of his previous clothes while also fishing out his broken phone.
Noah then placed both the phones on his bed and touched their charging points with his index fingers. He summoned a small amount of his lightning magic, just enough to produce small sparks.
Noah didn't know how the science behind this worked but by using the small amount of lightning in between the two phones, he was somehow able to see both of their data.
He successfully transferred some of the… cultured things from his eighteen-year-old self's phone to Sukhma's phone.
Having completed his main task, Noah disconnected himself from both the phones. He was about to put the pink phone somewhere when he was suddenly attracted by the wallpaper.
'Hmm, at least he had a slightly above average taste.' Noah commented after seeing Sukhma's wallpaper, an image of a maid clinging to a pole with both of her hands holding it tightly, her upper body pressed against it.
Getting curious after seeing the wallpaper, Noah grabbed the phone and unlocked it with the help of a few electric currents.
Once inside, he searched the phone thoroughly to find tons of lewd stuff. He also found the images of a few children regularly bullied by the trio.
'I guess that's why no one dared to raise their voice against them.' Noah observed as he saw most of the photos being taken with the other party being in a compromising situation.
'Well, not like I care about it.' Noah closed the phone before hiding it inside his closet. Being done with everything else, he walked out of the room to find his mother standing near the entrance of the house.
"You look good." Erika complimented as Noah walked to stand beside her.
Most of the clothes she had were similar in color to those of her son, making Noah wonder whether he got his sense of style and fashion from her.
Erika was currently wearing blue trousers going right above her ankles alongside a loose white shirt and a blue coat whose buttons were left open.
Her clothes stood out as compared to Noah's, who looked like a teenager straight out of a drug den. But in the end, both of them wore what they liked the best.
"After being done with the ceremony, we will go to take your new phone. Did you take your old phone?" Erika inquired just as the two of them stepped outside.
"Taken," Noah replied while patting his jeans pocket to show that he had indeed taken his phone.
"Then let's get going before we are late." Erika locked the house and together, the mother-son pair set out for the big day.
