"Hmm, this should be his home," Noah muttered while hovering above a three-story house.
The house was painted a shade of white and black with four windows present on each floor. Each floor had a standard size of 1800 square feet(167.2 square feet) making it around two hundred square feet smaller than Noah's house.
Although where his house only comprised a single floor, this house had three stories. No light came out of the house except for a dimly lit bulb present right at the door.
Noah didn't see any visible security measures around the house but if he were to activate his lightning magic, he would be able to sense the various electronic devices hidden around the house.
'If I'm a half-elf in this life, I should have that ability as well…' Noah wondered silently, his eyes taking a note of his surroundings again.
Noah also noticed that he could see quite well in the dark without using the help of his spirit magic.
He had gotten too used to this feeling in his previous life that he had forgotten that normal people couldn't usually see well in the dark without a source of light.
'So this is how half-elves and normal elves feel huh. Those bastards are so lucky to have such advantages from the beginning.' He sighed, remembering the fact that he too had those advantages now
Upon focusing on his pupils for a few seconds, Noah discovered that he could use the secret ability of the half-elves perfectly.
His vision shifted to that of a night goggles except instead of seeing body heat, his eyes could track bodies and objects with mana.
Most half-elves could only use this ability with their normal vision automatically being disabled. Noah on the other hand could use this ability while retaining his normal vision.
This meant that he could still see everything normally but the objects and bodies with mana would appear in his vision with a colored outline.
Noah could potentially see through walls and other opaque objects without having to use any sort of magic. This ability in itself was the cheat every person out there would want to get their hands on.
'Fortunately, this isn't a game world where you can just take someone's eyes out and implant them in your head and within twenty-four hours, you will get the ability.' Noah mused.
He slowly descended down towards the second floor, his eyes continuing to monitor those inside the house.
"Spirit Magic: Teleportation branch, blink," Noah muttered under his breath, using one of the specialties of spirit magic.
He felt the atoms in his body starting to fuzz as his body suddenly vanished from outside the house only to reappear inside it in a matter of seconds.
Teleportation magic was quite complicated so it wasn't registered in a soul book. Noah didn't have to worry about learning it from the start due to this.
Noah made his way through the house, using his mana vision to track the place where one of his bullies was sleeping soundly with two other of his friends.
Noah felt that for once in his life, his luck was good. To have three of his bullies sleeping defenselessly in one place was gold for him.
'Now the question is, do I kill them right now or kill them tomorrow in front of the entire city?' Noah wondered while walking as he finally reached the room where the trio was sleeping.
He silently opened the door and slid inside before looking at the sleeping faces of the three bullies.
"Sukhma Dickinson." Noah took the name of one of his biggest bullies, not bothering to lower his voice.
The leader of the bullies, Sukhma Dickinson, tossed on his bed after hearing his name. Noah looked at his sleeping self with an amused expression as he made his way to the edge of his bed.
Noah then stood over Sukhma's face while staring down at his bedside. The latest pineapple phone was lying on a table alongside high-quality headphones.
Noah had a vague idea of what Sukhma had been doing before sleeping as he picked up the phone and put it in his pocket.
As for the headphones, Noah tossed them around his neck and pressed the play button. The sounds of women making "Ahh~" noises echoed inside his head as Noah kept the headphones on.
"Wake up, Sukhma," Noah called out as Sukhma stirred in his sleep. His eyes opened by a crack but the moment he saw Noah, his eyes flew wide open.
"Cranky, what are you doing here…" Sukhma murmured as he was still half-asleep.
Noah on the other hand remembered that Cranky was his nickname in school alongside Oil-faced, Pig-breath, and so on. He now wondered whether he could use the literal versions of those names on his bullies to see how things went.
"I am not Cranky. I am Noah," Noah smiled. "And I am here to make you pay."
Sukhma looked as though he was about to burst into laughter but never got the chance to do it. Noah's right hand moved forward with deadly accuracy as he touched his index finger to Sukhma's forehead.
The boy suddenly went still under Noah's fingers. His eyes were the only thing that was left moving.
"Maybe I should just kill you here and no one will find it," Noah muttered aloud while thinking of the best way to obtain his first revenge.
A quick clean kill sounded good on paper but Noah didn't feel that it would satiate his thirst for revenge.
He instead turned his gaze towards Sukhma's face and after seeing his bully's terrified gaze, Noah got the perfect idea to get his first revenge.
"Let's see. This should be a good entertainment during the event tomorrow. But for it to be successful, I will need you to go back to sleep again."
Noah moved his hand over Sukhma's face while removing his paralysis simultaneously. He then touch his forehead with his index finger again and muttered a few words under his breath.
Noah repeated the same thing twice to cover the other two bullies as well. His eyes were glinting with a strange emotion as he finished soon and used the same spirit magic from earlier to teleport directly to his room.
Blink was something that could be used to connect two places and step between them. However, it would only work when the user knew the location of both the places well and had visited them in person.
That was why Noah had to fly to Sukhma's house before but could teleport back once he was done preparing for his revenge.
"Revenge is an addicting drug." Noah quoted himself while crashing down on the bed, not bothering to change his clothes.
Noah had thought of this line after going on a revenge spree, killing one person after the other for things they had indirectly done.
It had resulted in him curling up into a ball and wanting to go into eternal sleeping. It was at that time he had managed to get up again due to someone only to fall into a repeating cycle of pain.
'Not this time…' He sighed while thinking of his future and past. He took of his newly acquired headphones in the process and put them right inside the small drawer beside his bed.
A few hours passed by in this manner with Noah having no idea when he passed out but the next thing he heard was Erika's voice waking him up for the big day.
"Noah, wake up! Let's see your soul book!"
Noah didn't open his eyes immediately as a small smile appeared on his lips. He stirred slightly before opening his eyes by a crack.
'Everything changes starting today.'
