Slowly Dana turned unconsciously shaking like a leaf in summer as her eyes met with the police officer's.
"You dropped your purse on the ground miss". The cop said as he handed the purse to Dana.
"Oh... It doesn't belong to me." Dana replied dismissively, relieved that she wasn't recognized.
"Alright. Goodbye then miss." The cop said walking back into the airport.
"Um. Good bye" Dana replied bowing slightly before she hurriedly moved to the car which was still open. Surprisingly Linx didn't ask her what had happened with the cop.
The fear she felt when the cop called her still made her heart race as she looked outside the city from the worn up car window. Everything had changed, the city, it's people and although she wasn't in the city she had grown up in been in the country alone filled her with nostalgia. All the memories from her childhood came flashing back as they drove pass an ice cream shop. It reminded her of the time her bike had broken down in 9th grade and she had had to walk back home along side Haneul. She couldn't understand why he was even walking him in the first place since he was usually picked up by his personal driver but at that time it didn't matter as she still very much disliked Haneul, but that day her perspective about him started to change slowly. It had started to rain so they had both taken cover an ice cream shop, and since Haneul said it was awkward if they stayed there and didn't buy anything in that effect he ended up buying more than ten cones of ice cream just to taunt Dana's weight but she didn't take offense since she was already used to Haneul bad mouthing her. After ice cream they played videos games, went to karaoke, all of which Haneul had challenged her to do since that was the only way he could get her to do things. In the end she had returned by past 9pm and had gotten punished for it. All this memories brought a small smile to her lip, she was brought back to reality as Desiree tapped her informing her that they had reached their destination.
The hotel that had been booked for them to stay at had issues so they drove to Linx's grandparents beach house instead. The sight of which left Dana in awe, it was like a dream, the interior decorations were top notch, the white painted walls were adorned with simple but expensive looking painting, the breeze was cold but calm everything felt Serene and different and for the first time in two days Dana felt free, like no one could find her there.
"You'll take the room beside mine" Linx said referring to Dana for the first time since the plane. Noticing the weird stare Dana gave him as if she was doubting his intentions.
"So that you can assist me if I need help. You think I'll want a witch to stay in a room beside mine? Haq." Linx said smirking as he let his self hit the sofa.
"You should hire a maid then. And you should be lucky I'm a nice witch unlike you, if not so I would have scratched your eyes out" Dana muttered to herself in a low tone switching from Mandarin to Joseon-mal(Korea) so as to confuse Linx, but the look on his face further confused her.
"And who said you're nice huh? Have you seen yourself in the mirror, you look like an absolute witch. Your brown hair was better but this black straight hair brings out the witch in you."
Linx replied still smirking untill his voice broke into laughter at the sight of Dana's red now red face.
"Wait you understand what I just said?"
Dana asked.
"Um hm" Linx replied trying to keep a straight face.
Dana gulped down hard at his response. She couldn't have guessed that he could understand her, but of course why wouldn't he? He was an idol after all and most idols are fluent in more than one language so it wasn't a surprise but to think that she had let the urge to taunt Linx make her not guess something so basic and did he just compliment her when he said her hair was better the way it was? Good heavens she couldn't understand this guy, how can one compliment and taunt someone in one sentence?.
"I didn't know you speak Joseon-mal." Linx said giving Dana a questioning look.
"Um mm... I just picked it up you know, I learnt it online." Dana nervously replied before hurriedly going upstairs to avoid more questions.
At past 12 Dana received a text from Linx surprisedly he sent it on weibo, she didn't know when he had added her on weibo. The massage contained the schedule for tomorrow and a "goodnight" followed by a panda sticker blowing a kiss which perplexed her. Shoving off the thought she tried to convince herself that it must have been a mistake. After texting Gu Xixi another massage popped up from a private number and when she opened it she got the shock of her life, it was a picture of she and Linx at the airport!
