Chapter 22 - Plotting Ways To Get Rid Of Her 2

Zhang Wei calmly sipped some water before placing it down.

His movements were very slow, and he was hoping the hands of the clock would move quickly, back to the time he had agreed to do this collaboration.

If he had known things would turn out like this, he'd rather let the business crumble than face this.

"Don't you think we should talk more on this at my house tomorrow? After what happened, I think you need some time to talk with the family." He cunningly suggested, and the man thoughtfully nodded before saying.

"Okay. I'll come over by tomorrow for dinner."

Zhang Wei forced a smile as he saw him off, and he got into his car and waved.

As soon as his limousine drove out of the building, his smile faded and a dead pan frown was fixed on his face.

He pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

"How did it go?" Was the first thing she asked once the call went through.

Just at the sound of his sigh, she knew it didn't go well. He was her son of course. She knew him better than anyone else.

"I'll be waiting at home." Without waiting for a single word from him, she ended the call and angrily tossed it to the side of her bed, her face twisting scornfully in anger as she thought of what could have happened.

Her long black claw-like nails made her hands look scary as well as her facial features.

She was an incrediously beautiful woman but on the inside, she was more of a witch.

Her raven black hair shone and fluttered under the chandelier as she moved her fork over the plate of grapes on the plate.

When she was done, she put the plate aside just in time to hear the familiar sound of a Limousine pulling up in the garage. She stayed still on her bed, not even blinking and only managed to glance up at her son when he walked in a defeated look on his face.

"What happened?"

Not daring to anger her further, he didn't even sit down and narrated everything, standing at the door.

With each sentence that spewed out his mouth, Zhang Huan's hands curled into fists, and at the mention of Jiang Meiying adamantly cutting off her father from ever asking her about the properties, she grabbed a vase and threw it at him!

Zhang Wei moved his head to the side, and the vase crashed somewhere in the background narrowly missing his ear.

The woman was sulking, her heart pounding hard in her chest. She stiffened when she felt Zhang Wei sit beside her on the bed but she didn't move.

He knew his mother more than anyone else and when she was angry, she could kill. He had been a witness to it. Her anger knew no limits, and neither did her actions.

"So, she suddenly has the nerve to act like a bi*ch because she thinks she's rich and powerful now, right?"

Chuckling coldly, she got up and sashayed to her door. For a while she grabbed onto the door knob and caressed it before turning to Zhang Wei with a charming smile which freaked him out. He dared not breath and just returned her gaze with a cool look in his eyes.

"Mai Quing, you should know her. She's... hosting a huge party in the next week and there will be an auction after the party." She turned to the door knob and caressed it again. "They are going to be auctioning off the first painting ever made in the world."

"But... the first painting was discovered 45,500 years ago in an island in Indonesia. Are they perhaps going to auction of a cave?" He was confused as to why she was telling him all of these, but his mouth glued shut at her glare.

"You're such an idiot. No Zhang Wei. It's an oil painting from the 14's"

"O... kay?"

"I want that painting Zhang Wei! You know I'm participating in the election this year. This would be a good way to boost my popularity in the country. If I can get my hands on that painting, do you know what it means???"

Zhang Wei was left speechless until he found his tongue a second later.

"Mother, I don't know much about paintings but the least anyone's going to be pricing it is from 100 million and above and we don't have that kind of Money."

The woman chuckled again.

"We do, but you're just as stupid as the rest of the Jiangs. Tell me! Are you all too scared of Jiang Meiying to Intimidate her into giving away the properties under her name."

"Mother, she's not as stupid as we thought and besides... even if we do succeed, I won't be able to get anything from her properties aside selling the island and getting a 35% profit from it."

"It's obvious Jiang Tao will re-Will all the properties under Jiang Ming's name when he gets his hands on them. You can fool her and get her to sign all her properties under your name."

"Mother, it doesn't sound easy."

"Are you saying that my plan will fail?"

"Plan?"

She turned to him and he stilled in shock at the evil glint in her eyes.

"I need you to find me a competent spy who would get me secret information about that Jiang Meiying girl. I need to know everything about her... including her weaknesses."

"Mother? A spy?"

"Aish! I swear Zhang Wei, If you weren't my son, I'd cut you into little pieces and throw you into the fire! Are you deaf now?!"

Zhang Wei paled at once, and under her glare, he bolted the room like a rat scurrying away while Zhang Huan dropped heavily on the bed.

If the properties finally got into her worthless son's hands, she could easily get access to all of them and use it as she pleases, rendering the entire Jiangs under her mercy and power.

She had squandered her money in just a few months, and just when she thought she was going to leech of her son's illegally inherited business, the fool had managed to ruin everything and the business was crumbling already.

Her only source of cash and money supplement.

Now, she couldn't afford to get some new clothes, and with this election going on, she wanted to raise her status in the country. How would she do that if not squandering more money?

If Jiang Meiying was adamant about complying with them, she'd help the Jiangs by ending her life after knowing her weak points and vulnerability. After all, she knew what'd happen when the beneficiary of a will died.
