When Jiang Meiying got to the staffroom, the teachers paused their conversations and business to look at her.
Her name had been on every one's lips after the math teacher had announced her score in his tedious math test.
"Where is Teacher Lee's table please?" She politely asked an old-fashioned dressed teacher and he pointed at her desk without a word, his eyes still on her.
Ignoring the gazes of awe and disbelief she got, she placed the envelope on her desk and leaves.
After the lessons, it was break time and Li Fu and Hai Bo left Jiang Meiying alone in class to bring their friends for the lesson.
Suddenly, Jiang Ming and her friends walked in, bearing wicked looks.
"You're in time for the lesson. Take a seat."
The three girls exchanged glances before bursting into a fit of laughter.
Jiang Meiying just watched them from the corner of her eyes as she prepared the lesson notes, ignoring them.
"Did you really think we'd stoop so low to take lessons from a fat pig like you?"
Liu Fang sneered at her, but Nora ignored them and like she planned, the three got frustrated but no one dared approach her.
"The lesson fee's 1250$. Unless you're not going to sit through my lesson, you might as well just pay for it and leave. We made a bet after all"
"1250$ each?" Liu Rong asked in disbelief
"Yes." Jiang Meiying simply said and punched something in her calculator without glancing at them.
"How can you take so much money from us?! And 1250$ for a lesson? You're so criminal Jiang Meiying!" Jiang Ming complained.
"If you feel like you're going to be wasting so much money, then you're welcome to sit down and learn."
"Over. My. Dead. Body." Jiang Ming spat out in disdain, but Jiang Meiying barely flinched.
The three girls soon slapped down some cash Infront of her and began leaving, but not before Jiang Ming said,
"I'll make sure Father knows of this and he'll throw you out of the house. Mark my words Jiang Meiying."
Jiang Meiying finally looked at them and they froze under her blank stare.
"Shut the door on your way out." She calmly said and looked back down.
Liu Fang gritted her teeth and slammed the door, hard!
Jiang Meiying just scoffed and ignored them... however she tensed up when she noticed another prescence
Not in the classroom... but she felt like she was being watched.
Her eyes suddenly shot up when the door opened and seven people walked in.
Li Fu and Hai Bo were accompanied from behind by Hop, Jie, Zihan, Yuze and Kai who looked like they weren't happy to be here.
"We have 40 minutes before lunch over. If you're going to eat now, you're welcome to. Please take your seats." She simply said and took her position at the teacher's desk to start writing some things on the board.
The five new students were stunned at her straightforwardness, but they were impressed and willingly sat down, some of them pulling out their lunches.
She started out well, but they wanted to see what else she could do. Were Li Fu and Hai Bo just making mouth or were they serious about her?
However, half way into the lesson, they all concluded that truthfully, she knew exactly what she was doing. They were so engrossed in the lesson and enjoyed her patience when explaining the topics they found hard and when answering their questions.
After the lunch break was over, they all surrounded her like buzzing flies..
"Jiang Meiying," Hop, the only girl, said in an enthusiastic voice. "Tomorrow is Saturday, are we having our lessons tomorrow too?"
"Yes Jiang Meiying... we should definitely have another lesson tomorrow!"
"Jiang Meiying, I still have some questions..."
"Jiang Meiying, we can conduct the lesson in my house tomorrow."
Jiang Meiying raised a hand and they all paused to listen to all she have to say.
"We'll have the lesson at my house tomorrow at this time but the duration will be much longer. Be at my house at 2:00pm and ensure you do your assignments."
"Where's your house Jiang Meiying?"
Hai Bo elbowed the boy and said.
"She's staying with the Jiangs"
"Huh? As in Jiang Ming?" Hoo glanced over Jiang Meiying's huge body and meekly asked. "Are you two related?"
"No."
"..."
"..."
"..."
After that, the five of them gave Jiang Meiying 625$ each and Jiang Meiying couldn't wait to access her profile after school today.
After school, Jiang Meiying was running out the school, ready to run back home when she remembered she had to go to Mai Quing's today.
She sees Jiang Ming getting into the limousine with Liu Fang and Liu Rong and ran up to them.
They stiffened on seeing her, but the fear in their eyes was replaced with a sneering look as they glanced their cold eyes over her.
"I want a ride to the Estate in the next town."
"I'm sorry you can't get into MY limousine, but I don't think you'd fit inside anyway." Jiang Ming snobbishly said, and the twins laughed scornfully.
Jiang Meiying didn't have time for their nonsense and turned away. She'd take a taxi there tomorrow anyways and return home in time to teach her students.
Before the three girls, she turned away and ran back where she came from. Home.
