I stood there as 10 arms floated behind me. They were all pulsing mana, ready to shoot at any given moment.
" Hah, we're finally on terms " Gavin crouches down as he enters his combat stance. His arms shined ever so brightly as he prepared to attack me at any second.
I stood there, still unfazed, looking at his every move. My arms were locked and loaded already. He doesn't know that, and literally, every single person except Sol doesn't know that.
" I'll grant you a favor if you win this fight since you seem unamused by what's happening." My statement was only proven as Winter suddenly shouts aloud.
" Favor? " Gavin asks Winter, who had quite a nasty smirk on her face as she looked at me weirdly. What's this girl trying to do now?
" I'm not talking to you." She says bluntly, ignoring him completely. Gavin could only tilt his head down as he got filled with embarrassment.
" Favor? " I repeat Gavin's words.
" Yeah, a favor from yours truly. As long as it's within my power, " Winter says cheekily, as she looks at me with mischievousness.
Hah... does this girl think she's fooling someone? I know she had absolutely no faith in me in this battle. I mean, I do get why, as I was 1 tier below him, and his ability was basically two in one. His ability was already carrying his weight as he was still only a 2* mage, comparable to an average A-star student, but that just shows how pretty great and rare his ability was. If his talent was better and if his range were any better than that, he would've had a higher rating.
His range didn't need to be any longer, though, because I was perceived as a close-range fighter who used my ability to block my enemies' vision. Well, at least that's what they think...
I could blast him right here, right now, with the power of 10 1* mages, and fully show him the power of numbers. Do you think even the greatest fighters in human history could fight 10 average people simultaneously? Well, there's a chance. Humans are driven by their thoughts and emotions. You might not be able to destroy their thoughts, but their emotions are a strong weapon against themselves. Fear and confusion are weapons commonly found on the battlefield. Wars could be won without the upper edge in numbers.
A war won through fear, was not possible with a bunch of armed men ready to shoot with no hesitation.
The reason for wars being won, Why quantity is better than quality in battle...
" Oh ok, I'd like the Hall Guild then." I say this sarcastically. I mean, at least I tried, no?
" You have quite a sharp tongue, huh? you fucking defect." Gavin, who had his head down from embarrassment, seemed to have picked up the hidden insult I put in the statement earlier.
" You think you've won already? Are you actually dreaming? HUH!? " Gavin, who was standing on the opposite side of the arena, rushed at me with an incredibly angry face. Lifting his left hand, he closes the distance between us as he prepares to touch the ground and freeze me right there and then.
" You fucking bastard! " He arrived close enough to reach me as he grabbed the floor ready to freeze me.
Thud!
... What?
The entire arena went silent. Even Gavin, who was shouting, could only look at his left hand as a small bruise lay on it.
" Wha- " Gavin looks around him, trying to figure out where this injury came from. He looks toward Winter and Ms. Loi, who only had the same reaction as him, shock and confusion.
" What did you do?! " He looks at me as if I just cheated. I brought an item with me to aid me in this battle.
" Do you think I need to cheat to beat you? " I say calmly as he looks at me in distress.
" You fu- "
" Hey, hey, no swearing now." I say as an arm shoots him in his left leg, causing him to crouch down.
At this point, it seems like Gavin realized what just happened, as he looks at the arms, which have 2 normal ones made out of mist while the other 8 are still glowing purple.
"What? "You seem quite confused about what's happening right now. I continue to mock the stunned Gavin as he looks at me in shock.
" Do you think you could just start by freezing everything the moment every fight starts and not get read? Is this some charity match? I'm sorry to say it to you, but you're not leaving this unscathed. "
I say, as a huge grin forms on my face.
" You little fucking bastard... DO YOU THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN THROW PEBBLES NOW? HUH?! " Gavin's face maddened even more as his veins bulged and it shined the same color as that of his right hand.
It seems like this fight is going to be easier than it already was. Gavin then didn't even keep distance between us two to utilize his range, he was full-on trying to grab my face with his right hand as it blared ever so brightly, making it easy to just kick him in the stomach and throw him away from me.
" Urk... " Gavin flies off with my kick as he holds his stomach in pain. It was relatively easy to damage this guy, as he was a mage who didn't protect his body at all, and if you hit the solar plexus of a person, it's bound to hurt regardless of how you build your body, as long as you're not a martial artist.
I walk towards him as he curls on the ground, grabbing at his stomach in pain. I kicked him on the side again as he fell to his back.
" Urgh! "
As he grabbed his stomach in pain, I stomped on his hands and rested my foot on his solar plexus.
" Ha.. You ar... "
What is this guy saying... Did he lose his mind with all that trash talk?
" HAHAHAHA! I guess your brain is a defect too. " Gavin, who saw my foot resting on his belly, quickly activated his ability as he tried to burn and freeze it at the same time.
Thud!
" You think I have these arms for nothing? You're one to talk when your brain is worse than your skills."
My arms just shot both of his arms as he tried to grab my legs.
" You fucking defect, I'm sure your parents hated you the moment you were born." Gavin says weakly as he laughs.
...
' Son... please stay with me for a while. ' The memory that didn't stop haunting me during my life in the real world still seemed to follow me...
...
I was called the number one actor in the real world, but I still have some shortcomings here and there. I couldn't really portray an innocent and bright character, it was just too hard for me and I couldn't really get the right and perfect setting and ambiance to properly do it. That and also that I struggle to show extreme anger and spite; every time I was supposed to be angry in a scene, I just looked at them with a serious face. I mean, quiet and angry is quite scary, I suppose... Anger... so this is how you portray this emotion properly...
" Well, since it seems like you still have time to do these types of things, let me see if you could do it after I'm done with you... "
I pinned him on the ground as I kneeled on him. I raised my fists as I started punching his face constantly without rest.
" You fuc- " I punched him in the face. I punched him so many times that his face started to swell, and my hands started to hurt. He couldn't even talk as I just punch him whenever he tries to. He also started to try using his ability, but my arms just shoot his hands whenever he tries to do so. I was a full counter to him as he couldn't even use his ability even if he tried to. It was just a constant beating without a chance for him to fight back.
" You asked me earlier if I was dreaming when I knew this fight was already over. Do you still think I'm dreaming? "
