The figure smiled, revealing his sexy fangs and a cute dimple appeared at the side of his cheeks contradicting his whole appearance. She didn't know whether to classify him as sexy or cute.
'Pretty boy...' was the only description that could come up to her head. Watching his ash blonde hair dance along as he took slow strides towards her and his cool grey eyes held a faint smile which was reflected on his red lips.
His smile widened watching Raine's stunned gaze on him. He got close to her and took another step forward and he was deeply shocked when Raine took a step back instead. His smile froze...
"Uhm..." he awkwardly raised his hand and raked it through his ash blonde hair with a helpless gaze and Raine's heart softened watching him look like a child who had just been scolded by his mother.
"Sorry if I startled you, cute sister. I'm Skye and you'll be seeing me around here all the time," he flashed her a cheeky grin and his earlier confidence returned in a flash.
Watching his cute antiques, Raine felt that there was nothing to be scared of and so she immediately let her guard down. She gave him a small smile with a polite nod.
"Hi brother Skye, I'm Raine Olvera," her voice was calm and soft and this time she took the initiative and extended her hand for a handshake which he accepted with the same cheeky grin.
As he shook her, Raine felt his temperature and she frowned realizing that he was warmer than Jedrek but looking at the pair of almost similar eyes they looked like brothers.
"Well cute sister, how are you enjoying your new room?" Skye probed and his cool grey eyes shone with excitement.
Raine returned his smile finding it natural. She had been too distracted earlier on by the beautiful scenery and so she didn't have the time to view her surroundings.
At the question, she withdrew her hand which was firmly held in his, and turned her head to scan the room and her mouth was left hanging at what she saw.
The room was dyed in a shade of white and blue. She found two doors at the other end of the room. She figured that one must be a bathroom and the other could be a walk-in closet.
The room was spacious... too spacious that she found it hard to believe that she would be the only one living in there.
There was a king-sized bed in the middle with nice blue beddings. The wall was dyed in a nice cream design with a few paintings hanging on each side.
On one side of the room, there was a dressing table with a little sofa by the side. There was a coffee table by the other end and the floor was covered in a sky blue Prussian rug and she felt like she was standing on silk instead.
There was also a window seat that overlooked the nice scenery of the evergreen forest. By the floor-to-ceiling window, there was a small door that led to a terrace with a small swing decorated with blooming carnations. Beside it, there was a small table with four chairs around it like a small dining area.
When she looked at the ceiling, she found out that it was painted like a bright sunny sky with different clouds spotted around the area. The whole painting felt realistic and she once widened her mouth and formed an 'o' shape.
She could spot tiny glowy stars still on the ceiling which would glow in the dark. Her breathing stopped. All these efforts... they gave her both day and night in one room?
She slowly lowered her head and looked straight at the figure in front of her who had smug look on his face with both hands on his pant pockets.
"So tell me, cute sister, do you like the decoration?" he didn't wait for her reply before he continued, "I knew you would like it. I designed everything myself." There was a hint of pride in his tone, staring at the girl who still had her eyes scanning the room with an awed expression.
At Skye's earlier question, Raine nodded dazedly still trying to fill her eyes with the magnificent sight.
Seeing her reaction, Skye chuckled softly. 'If she is this amazed by her room then what will her reaction be when she sees the whole house? Now I know why brother is hesitant to carry out his task on her, the girl is just too cute.'
He took slow steps around the room with hands still placed in his pockets with a satisfied smile plastered on his face. "When brother asked me to renovate his room for your arrival, I asked for your color preference and he told me blue," he paused then bent his head to reach her height, deeply staring at her eyes.
"Now I know why he chose blue. The color really matches your eyes."
Raine's eyes widened at his statement, "His room?"
