"His room?"
She stared at Skye dazedly, watching him nod slowly in affirmation still not aware of the weight on her question.
Raine calmed her breathing, she pursed her lips then asked again, "By brother do you mean Jedrek?"
Skye nodded again, "Although I have other brothers which you'll meet soon but this is brother Jed's room," his tone was flat as he took small steps around the room trying to find any problem with it.
Raine whipped around, turning to face him with a widened gaze. "Wh... why do I have to stay in his room... isn't there any other room available?"
Skye let out a short laugh and the corner of his lips tugged up in a mischievous smirk. "Except you want to stay in the storage room which I doubt, then this is the only room available."
He flashed her a casual smile and then took slow strides towards the door then paused as he was about to turn the doorknob.
"Get ready cute sister, dinner is almost ready. Also, fix your hair and dress before coming down, I'm sure you don't want brother to see you like this, and lastly..." he turned to her with a charming smile, "...welcome to the Reis Mansion."
And with that, he opened the door and got out of the room.
Raine huffed as soon as the door was shut.
'Mansion?... mansion my foot. What kind of a mansion would not have an extra room prepared for a guest?'
She felt cheated all of a sudden. She glared at the door as if glaring at Skye instead before walking up to the dressing table and picked up a hairbrush to brush her slightly messy hair.
By the time she was done, she looked down at her clothes, and finding them crumpled, she let out a deep sigh of exasperation.
She had left her house in a hurry and so she didn't get the time to pack her clothes. He had told her that he would handle everything and yet she believed him but now what could she do when she realized that she had no change of clothes?
With pouted lips of annoyance, she tried to smoothen the creases in her dress with her palms and then walked up to the bathroom to wash her face.
As she walked to the other side of the room, she came across two doors and she was thrown into a deep contemplation on which was the bathroom and which was the closet instead.
She shrugged, knowing that she wasn't going to find out if she didn't open the door.
She turned a knob and opened the door revealing a high-end bathroom. She was momentarily stunned by the lavishness of just a bathroom but after what she saw in the bedroom she had prepared herself for sights like that.
Inwardly delighted that she had found the bathroom, she took slow steps inside and found her way to the sink. She splashed her face with cold water and then dried it with a towel she found before stepping outside.
She tilted her head to the other door. She was about to go down for dinner but her curiosity got the best of her and she resulted in finding out what the other room looked like.
She slowly turned the knob and opened the door slowly. Taking a peek at the interior and her hands left the doorknob with widened eyes.
Where was the girl who said she wouldn't be surprised by the lavishness of the room again? She couldn't hold in her expression, not after seeing a walk-in closet that was as big as the bedroom itself.
She took slow steps inside the room and she had to keep a steady grip on the door if not she would have fallen face flat on the ground.
The walk-in closet was separated into two. One of the sides contained different men's clothing and shoes hung and arranged neatly while the other side was empty.
She could spot different racks for clothes, shoes, bags, and clothing accessories but they were all empty. She realized that this section was for her but she didn't bring any clothes with her.
She stared at a huge mirror that hung on the wall and shrugged. Her clothes weren't too bad maybe she could ask him to take her to a nearby supermarket to get some daily necessities.
With that, she left the closet and slowly stepped out of the room. Finding her way through the long hallway before finally getting to a marble spiral staircase.
She stared down and found two men sitting by a coffee table and discussing lightly. She could recognize Skye's ash blonde hair but she couldn't recognize the other one.
Noticing he had the same jet black hair as Jedrek but she knew that wasn't him... so who was this other guy?
