Layla woke up to Delilah shaking her, though gently.
"You need to wake up Delilah told her. "You have to fit on the dress to see if it needs any alterations."
Layla groaned, but didn't protest in any other way. She knew that every action of hers was being watched, recorded, and reported back to Auburn. If she refused anything, in any way, he might take it as an insult and decide to attack her family.
The mating ceremony of wolves was very sensitive, and not the place that anyone would want to offend. It was the same even in her own pack back in the forest, she had been careful not to ever refuse any gift that Jake had given her, as they were all courting gifts, and an insult like that wasn't something that any wolves took lightly.
So, with a heavy heart, Layla got herself out of bed.
She found that Delilah had brought a few wolves with her into the room, and one stood holding a dress.
