Layla felt relief flood her system. They were finally in Wolfsbane territory again. She was safe from Auburn. Then she remembered the reason that she had agreed to mate with him in the ceremony in the first place, and she started to worry. Would he think that she had run away? Would that count as her renegading on their deal? Would he go straight to the Silva forest now that he knew where she lived and kill her pack?
Layla started to panic, and she turned around. She couldn't be here, in Wolfsbane territory. She had to be back at Auburn's Mansion, or back with her pack. But she couldn't just run away. Auburn would go after her pack.
"I have to go back," Layla said suddenly, stopping dead in her tracks. "I have to go back, I can't be here"
