Chereads / Oh, My Gerry / Chapter 4 - A SHITTY DAY

Chapter 4 - A SHITTY DAY

Gerry dragged Gabby out of the cafe after the party with his friends was over. Even Gabby's steps staggered a bit because of the footsteps that couldn't keep up with Gerry who was pulling her hand so strongly and the rush of steps.

"Let me go!"

Gabby struggled, begging to be released. However, Gerry didn't care at all. He continued to pull the woman's hand all the way to the cafe grounds.

"What are you doing, huh?" Gerry stomped Gabby's hand so violently that the woman made a little groan and immediately grabbed her left hand.

"It hurts, Sir!" Gabby shrieked as she stared at Gerry's face blankly. "Why are you so rude?" her annoyance slightly pursed her lips.

'Is this my payback? Didn't I help him? 'Ah, what an ungrateful man,' she thought.

"Hey! I should be the one getting angry, not you!" Gerry was on his hips while leaning his face forward, as if to show his angry expression at close range.

"Why are you angry? Didn't I help you?" Gabby replied not wanting to lose. "Is that how you say thank you?" annoyed slightly frowns, feeling disappointed with Gerry's attitude.

She had just admired the man a few minutes ago for his manliness. However, he turned out to be quite annoying.

"What? Help, you say?" The pair of dark brown beaded eagle eyes looked very wide. "Help what, Miss? Help embarrass me in front of them, will you?" his sarcasm was still on his hips.

"According to you?" Gabby asked back, as if lazy to answer Gerry's question. "Should I explain again what happened at the cafe earlier?" She added sarcastically.

Ah, what a lousy day. This was the first time she had been scolded for helping people. This really sucks.

"Besides, I wonder why a handsome guy like you doesn't have a girlfriend?" Gabby wondered as she stared intently at the towering man in front of her. She even looked at Gerry's body from bottom to top. "Oh, or maybe you—"

"Don't think so much about me!" said Gerry cutting Gabby's words. "You don't even know who I am yet!" He growled, licking his lips.

"But the proof—"

"What evidence?" said Gerry, disapproving of Gabby's clear direction.

"You don't think I'm interested in girls, do you?" Gerry's gaze became sharper towards Gabby, who was currently still dumbfounded and unable to move.

Yes, of course. How could Gabby not be surprised to see the man's expression showing an increasingly angry expression in front of her. Even the hardened jaw and the jutting veins on the man's neck were clear in her sight. What did she actually do wrong to make him so angry? Shouldn't he be thanking her?

"I'm still normal, Miss. Even I just have to point to the woman I want. As you said, I'm a handsome man, of course it's not difficult for me to have a lover!" said Gerry haughtily. He didn't even want to give Gabby a chance to speak yet.

"And one thing you need to know, Miss!" Gerry raised his right hand while holding up his index finger, as if he wanted to give a warning. "I don't need any help from you! So don't act like a hero in front of me. I don't need any of that!"

"Sorry, I was just trying to help—"

"Whatever it is, I don't need it!"

Gabby jumped and immediately lowered her gaze, remembering Gerry who was getting more and more angry because of her actions.

"Don't think about it because your intention is to help people, you just do what you want without first confirming with the person concerned!" Gerry kept cursing Gabby. "I swear, I'm so sorry I helped someone like you. I should have just let that snatcher take your bag away!" He added regretfully.

Only this time Gerry regretted helping people. Ah, if Gabby hadn't been so cocky, maybe she wouldn't have been so angry.

"You know? Because of you, I had to be embarrassed in front of my friends! Can't you see how they laugh at me because of your silly behavior?"

Gerry continued to grumble incessantly. Seeing his angry attitude, it was enough to prove that he really didn't accept Gabby's treatment. Yes, Gerry is not a stupid man and is easily insecure just because of ridicule from his friends about him being single.

Gabby's actions actually made Gerry more offended. He felt as she thought that he couldn't handle the teasing from his friends, even though it wasn't his first time and he'd always managed to get over it.

That was the reason Gerry was so angry with Gabby. Even without Gabby's silly help, he would have been able to solve his problems on his own, moreover he had prepared himself to face his friends.

Gabby was still looking down. She really regrets what she did. However, she still didn't accept Gerry's treatment, who had been cursing her all this time just because of trivial matters.

She doesn't know what she should do now, to quell the man's anger. If an apology alone doesn't work, then what should she do? She couldn't turn back time, could she?

'Oh, what should I do? After all, why was he so angry over such a trivial matter? Irritating!' Gabby muttered under her breath.

"This may be a trivial matter to you, but not to me!" Gerry insisted as if he knew what was going on in Gabby's mind right now.

Gabby sighed, trying to calm her feelings. She then lifted her head, daring to look at Gerry. She really didn't want this matter to be long.

"Okay, I was wrong. I'm sorry." She relented.

"I hope we'll never see each other again. Thanks for this shitty day!" replied Gerry sarcastically. He didn't even respond to Gabby's apology, even though the woman had an expression of regret.

Hurry up. Gerry just walked away from there, stepped into the parking lot not far from the place. He then got into the car, not wanting to care about the woman who was slightly dumbfounded by his sarcasm.

It didn't take long, the silver luxury car sped up quickly in front of Gabby, out of the cafe building area.

Gabby jumped in surprise and snapped out of her daydream. She then focused her attention on the car that was getting further and further away from her until it was out of sight.

"Oh, God ... why am I so stupid!" Gabby slapped her forehead while cursing herself. "Stupid, stupid, stupid!!"

She repeatedly hit her head slowly. Never stop cursing her stupidity. Just because of her silly actions, she was scorned by handsome men. Oh, what a poor woman.

"Just watch out if we meet, I'll never say hello once. Whatever!" annoyed before she decided to leave that place.
