Bang! Bam!
Logan tried breaking the chains, but he realized that since the appearance of the flowers, his strength started to dwindle.
Castiel watched as his friend struggled to break a metal chain. After a few attempts and realizing that Logan shouldn't be able to break the chain, he turned his attention to Daphne.
"What's going on?" He asked.
He could already guess from Logan's current appearance that he was a werewolf, but what he couldn't understand was how. Although he thought of this theory, he still didn't think that his friend would turn out to be one. And from how Daphne was able to prepare herself for this meant that she already knew.
'Could she be a werewolf as well? No, she wouldn't be able to handle the wolfsbane if she were.' Castiel thought as he looked at Daphne.
Daphne was not a human since she was able to send Logan flying with a palm. But if she wasn't a werewolf or a human, then what was she?
"Well, since you've already seen him, there's no use in hiding it. Like I said before, your friend was recently turned into a werewolf. Although he shouldn't have, he did, which is still unexplainable." Daphne said.
"Why did you say he shouldn't have?" Castiel asked.
"Because the wolf that attacked him isn't an Alpha. To be precise, the wolf's rank is too low to even turn any person into a werewolf. He was a rogue wolf that killed for pleasure, after coming to my territory, I was tasked with handling him…" Daphne told Castiel of how Logan was attacked due to her negligence.
"In my defense, I never thought someone would be walking so late at night." She added when she finished her explanation.
"That means you're the one taking care of all the wolves that have been attacking people in this town?" Castiel was taken aback.
"Correct." Daphne replied.
"Sorry to ask, but why didn't you take care of them before they kill people? If Logan wasn't lucky and accidentally turned into a wolf, he would've been killed as well." Castiel asked.
Although the thought of his friend being a werewolf was nice and all, from what Daphne was saying, he was supposed to die.
"It's not as easy as you think. Fighting against them also puts me in danger. Most of the times I've not come to class is due to trying to recover. Also, there would've been more wolf attacks, but I dealt with them before they attacked people." Daphne explained.
Logan was still trying to break the chains, clawing at the walls of the locker room as Daphne and Castiel spoke.
Castiel was still a little surprised. Not with the fact that Daphne opened up to him, but because of what he was hearing.
'There would've been more wolf attacks, but she deals with them in secret.' He thought.
"What are you?" Castiel asked.
"I'm sorry, but I can't tell you that. The only reason I gave you some explanation is because you've already seen your friend in this state, and keeping this a secret is very important or his life would be in danger." Daphne replied.
"Hmm, I'm still a little confused about everything, but it's alright. What will happen to him now?" Castiel turned his gaze to Logan.
"He'll need to learn how to keep his emotions in check. Werewolves are mostly known for their short tempers. They would flare up at the shortest disagreement." Daphne said.
"I know, I've read about them. But I still can't believe it's actually real. I mean, I believed it was real, but now that I'm seeing it, I still find it strange." Castiel shook his head with a sigh.
"That will be all for now. What you should do now is to make sure no one comes in here all night. Your friend should calm down before sunrise." Daphne said.
"How do I know you're not going to kill him if I leave?" Castiel asked.
He was wary of Daphne, after all, she just said she was the one dealing with werewolves. What if she tried to kill him once he was gone?
"If I wanted to kill him, do you think you can stop me?" Daphne looked at him with cold eyes that sent chills down his spine.
This was the first time he was scared of someone just from a look.
'Crap! I want to be strong as well.' He complained as he walked out of the locker room, leaving Logan and Daphne alone in the room.
Logan was stuck halfway through his transformation, with the wolfsbane here, it would be impossible for him to do so. This was the reason Daphne brought this particular species of wolfsbane. Wolfsbane is difficult to acquire, but her father had a few stored away.
'I still don't understand how this is possible. I've looked through the records of his parents, and there are no signs of there being a werewolf in their ancestry.' She thought while looking at the struggling Logan.
Time seemed to go by very slowly as the hours felt like they were days.
Of the duo, Castiel was the one who had the most difficult job. This was a school, with a football team. There were a few people who tried to use the locker room during the night, and convincing them not to go in was difficult. But he was a smart figure, so he came up with an easy plan.
Three hours before sunrise.

The door to the locker room opened, and Daphne walked out of the room.
"You can go in now, he has calmed down." Daphne said.
"Wait, what about you?" Castiel asked.
"I'm leaving." Daphne said as she continued walking.
"But, you said you'll help him." Castiel said.
"I will, but there are a few things that need to be done first. So, try to keep him from transforming into a werewolf." Daphne left after saying this.
Castiel looked around in confusion. How the hell did she expect him to take care of a freaking werewolf?!
