"Lo, is that you?" Castiel asked while retreating backward.
Unfortunately, his back hit the wall behind him. Only then did he realize that he was already standing at the edge of the bunker.
Growl…
Logan growled softly as he approached Castiel slowly.
Castiel panicked and hurriedly tried to bring out the wolfsbane he had with him, but he was unable to get it on the first attempt.
Logan was currently standing on two legs, looking down at Castiel's eyes.
Castiel was scared shitless, but he still summoned the courage to bring out the wolfsbane.
When he brought it out, Logan had a visible reaction and smacked it away from his hand. Although he tried to do it as gently as he could, he was still a large werewolf that had terrifying strength.
Castiel felt as if his shoulder dislocated from the smack, and his eyes showed fear, but he couldn't turn his back.
Just as he was thinking of other methods to deal with the large werewolf in front of him, the werewolf walked into the cell on its own.
Castiel heaved a sigh of relief when he saw this. This meant the werewolf was Logan.
"I almost died from fear." He muttered before hurriedly shutting the cell and locking it.
Although Logan didn't attack him just now, it didn't mean he wouldn't the next time.
Castiel was about to leave the place when he heard footsteps.
"What now?" He almost screamed out in fear, but he hurriedly went over to lock the door.
Now he was inside with Logan, the only thing keeping Logan away from him was the cell.
'What if it's the werewolf he spoke of?' A frightening thought came to his head.
He suddenly recalled that Logan seemed to be injured when he returned.
'Could it have defeated him?' Castiel rushed over to get the wolfsbane and started to squeeze it as much as possible into a small can he had with him.
There was a bit of water inside, so he wanted to get some juice from the flower if it could produce any. This would make it effective against the werewolf, unlike when he used it against Logan.
Clank! Clank!
Something hit the steel door twice, and Castiel summoned the courage to peek through the small hole in the door.
He was stunned when he saw a large werewolf on the shoulder of a fifteen to sixteen years old girl.
"Daphne?" He called out just to be certain.
"It's me, open up. Also, where's your friend?" Daphne asked before even getting in.
Castiel opened the door for her before pointing at the cell.
Daphne was about to walk past him when she noticed the werewolf on her back struggling.
"Huh?" She raised a brow curiously.
Her gaze soon went to the cup in Castiel's hand.
"What's that?" She asked. She could sense that it was wolfsbane.
"Wolfsbane. The one you gave to me the last time." Castiel replied.
"You kept it since then, and even managed to squeeze out the juice from it?" Daphne was a little impressed with Castiel's thinking.
First off, the wolfsbane was barely usable after she crushed it the last time. The only way to get anything out of it was either this method that Castiel used, or turning it into powder.
"Yeah, I only did this when I heard your footsteps…" Castiel told her of how Logan spoke of there being another werewolf and what ensued a few moments ago before she came.
"And he didn't attack you?" Daphne asked as she looked at his right hand which he used in holding the wolfsbane when Logan came in.
"Only accidental." Castiel said when he realized Daphne was looking at his hand.
"Okay. The reason I rushed back was because of the full moon. The fact that he could keep himself in check is quite shocking. Even this guy here couldn't, and he seems to be part of a pack." Daphne said as she threw the body of the werewolf on the ground.
Thud!
The body slammed into the ground with a heavy sound, almost scaring Castiel.
"Calm down, everything is fine. I could hear your heartbeat even before entering this place." Daphne said before walking toward the cell door.
Logan was currently sitting in a corner, but she could tell that he was struggling.
"Will he be alright?" Castiel asked.
"Yes, all he needs is to learn how to control his transformation." Daphne nodded her head.
She understood what Castiel was talking about. Given the close relationship between the friends, she knew Logan would tell him about the organization.
"I'll be going on a journey with him once this is over. He'll need to be registered in the organization or else he would be regarded as a rogue werewolf. Not being part of a pack will make things even more difficult for him." Daphne explained to Castiel.
"Alright, can I come as well?" Castiel asked.
"Are you a supernatural creature?" Daphne asked.
It was a rhetorical question and Castiel knew not to answer.
As time went on, Logan gradually started to become increasingly aggressive. This was all the effect of the moon since it was at its peak at that moment.
The cell could barely hold on for long, luckily, Daphne was around. She used the juice of the wolfsbane Castiel extracted and poured it around the cell, forcing Logan to turn to the walls.
The werewolf Daphne brought woke up around this time as well, but she quickly incapacitated it once again, making sure it wouldn't be able to cause any damage to the place.
Castiel stayed awake throughout the time Logan was in his werewolf form, looking at his appearance, clearly intrigued. He had read about werewolves and seen some movies about it. There are a few differences between what he saw and this.
'How come Logan has marks and this guy doesn't?' Castiel thought as he studied the difference between Logan's werewolf and this one.
Logan had some weird blue marks that seemed to glow in the moonlight, but this werewolf only had black fur, nothing seemed special about it.
