Chapter 16 - Chapter 16

The next morning.

Castiel barely got any sleep since he had to be by Logan's all through the night. Logan woke up about an hour before sunrise, seeing his body still strapped in chains, he couldn't help but take a glance at Castiel who was sitting a few meters away from him.

Compared to before, he retained his memories before transforming. He only forgot what happened after he transformed.

"Cass." He called out.

"Oh, you're awake." Castiel turned around and looked at his friend.

He didn't have any weird feelings, just pure delight. His best friend was a werewolf! Who else could boast of something like that?!

Unfortunately, he couldn't say this out in public, but he still felt nice about it. All that he needed to make sure of is that Logan didn't kill him whenever he turned, and he'll be good.

"Hmm." Logan nodded before looking around, trying to find Daphne. "Where's she?"

"Gone." Castiel replied.

Logan looked around, trying to find the wolfsbane Daphne placed around the room to restrain him. He heaved a sigh of relief when he couldn't find them.

"Oh, you're searching for these?" Castiel brought out the crushed flowers that were kept safely in his pocket.

"Why the hell do you have them?" Logan asked, he didn't feel comfortable with the flower here.

"One, you're too strong, and since I'm officially your babysitter, I have to protect myself. You're too powerful for me, so…" Castiel shrugged as he kept the flower back in his pocket.

After being crushed, the plant lost most of its value, but it was still usable. Daphne wanted to dispose of it when she was leaving, but he took it from her.

Logan snorted when he heard this. He hated to admit it, but he presently didn't have a choice. According to part of the conversation he heard yesterday, there's some kind of organization out there that would kill him if he killed people. He was already in trouble for killing those men, but Daphne stated that she could help him with that.

"Can you at least take these chains off?" He asked, a little annoyed that Castiel wasn't making any plans of removing the chains all this while.

"Oh, I forgot." Castiel scratched his head awkwardly before rushing over.

Just as he was about to remove the chains, he paused, "Are you sure you're fine now?"

Logan felt like smacking the hell out of him when he heard this, but he squeezed out a smile and said, "Sure, now, get me out of these."

"On it." Castiel started removing the chains.

The sounds of metal hitting the ground reverberated across the entire locker room.

"I'm free, Hehehe." Logan said before laughing evilly as he stared at Castiel.

"What are you doing?" Castiel asked as he stumbled backward.

Although he had the wolfsbane with him, he was too scared to use it.

"Taking care of you." Logan said in a deep voice as he approached Castiel.

Castiel was scared out of his mind, and he started sweating profusely. He tried retreating, only to realize that he already had his back against a locker.

"Lo… Lo... Logan, you know… we… we've been friends for so long." He stuttered as he spoke.

Logan walked close to him, a deadly serious expression on his face, just as he got close to Castiel, he grabbed him by the head and started smacking him lightly.

"Where did you get those chains? If I didn't know that you were unaware that I was turned into a werewolf, I would've said you've been planning this for a while now." He continued smacking him lightly, but playfully.

Castiel who thought he was about to die was stunned by the unexpected twist, he couldn't help but heave a sigh of relief. Even though he was currently stuck under Logan's grasp, it was better than being killed by your best friend.

"I already told you of my theory, now, let go of me." Castiel struggled to free himself from Logan's grasp, after trying repeatedly, he could only kick him which still didn't do the trick.

Logan let go of him after he had his fill.

"What are we going to do?" He asked, a little tired and afraid.

He knew nothing about what he got himself into. Now, he had to think of ways to keep himself from transforming into a werewolf, which was basically impossible for him. Castiel was the only person he could turn to right now.

"First of all, we need to get your emotions in check. Next off, we'll try to search for when you guys transform. There should be records about it on the internet. Then last but not least, if there's any day like this, we need to get you a place where you can be kept and chained, like a bunker or something like that." Castiel said as he looked at the walls of the locker room.

They had large claw marks that were impossible to hide. He knew the school would freak out once they found it.

"Fine, we'll go with your plans. Did Daphne say anything before leaving?" Logan asked.

"She said she was going to take care of a few things for you, so I should keep you in check until she returns. However, I feel she's just throwing the responsibility at me. If I'm correct, this is the hardest time for you since you're a new convert." Castiel complained.

Logan didn't say anything and nodded. When Daphne was speaking to Castiel, he overheard them. He finally recalled everything that happened that night, from how he was running home when he heard a sound, to how he was attacked, and to how Daphne and the man spoke about him when they saw his body losing so much blood.

"I still can't believe you're a werewolf, it's shocking! I mean, I guessed they were real, seeing you have confirmed my suspicions." Castiel said in amazement.

"I never believed in any of this. So there's that." Logan said.

"Could a werewolf be what attacked your mom?" Castiel suddenly recalled Logan's mother who was attacked years ago.

"I think so." Logan nodded his head.
