Once the 'Soul eater' broad sword had made its entry a powerful aura filled the vicinity. "Mm, this...?" A surprised look filled Kenta's face as he observed the appearance of the broad sword. Purple streaks trace the marking on the hilt and the sword felt heavier in his hand than it did before. 'What happened to it?' he thought confused. It wasn't that long when he had stored it away what could have happened to it in that short amount of time.
"A-A magic sword!" a man standing in line with the others exclaimed with a shocked face. Magic swords were one of the most precious weapons in the current era, not only did they have immense power hidden away in them, but they were also said to be powerful enough to overturn any battlefield.
Hense. Many renowned kingdoms often clashed for the sake of obtaining a magic sword. Kito's eyes widen slightly at the sight of the magic sword, even for him who was a famous instructor he didn't have many chances to encounter wielders of magic sword. Lauren kept her silence as she calmly watched over the situation with deep interest.
"Heh... I didn't think a lowly scum like you held such an item. Once I'm finished with you, I'll be taking that sword as my own." Tony said as he held out his hands. However, Kenta kept observing the various markings on his sword completely ignoring the words of Tony as though he was the most trivial.
Seeing that he was being ignored a vain bulged on Tony's temple. "Air cutter!" A magic formation appeared as wind in the form of blades went towards Kenta. Noticing that Kenta casually positioned his broad sword to his side in the direction of the wind blades.
Boom!!
The wind blades dispersed into mere gusts of wind. Kenta then sends a sidelong glance towards Tony. Tony's body instinctively flinches when he felt Kenta's icy cold gazed. 'Tch, this guy... is he making fun of me?' Tony thought, he clenched his knuckles as he gritted his teeth. "Don't look down on me you damn peasant! Wind spear!" Another magic formation appeared as wind gathered at the center of the magic formation.
Soon the wind condensed and took the form of a spear measuring roughly 10 cm in length. Kenta braced his sword as he prepared to intercept the wind spear. "Hah! Die!!" Tony shouted as he fired the spear made purely out of condensed wind.
Swoosh~
A loud shooting sound entered the eardrum of everyone present as the spear was launched straight into the direction of Kenta like a speeding bullet. However, Kenta had no intention of getting hit this time.
A smirk appeared on Kenta's face as he shifted his body to the side, the spear made of wind passed his body by a few millimeters before striking the walls. Fortunately, a magic formation appeared and formed a Protective barrier easily stopping the wind spear.
"My turn." Kenta said as his figure vanished from the sight of everyone. "Wha...?" Tony raised a surprised voice as he lost the sensation of the ground, suddenly his field of view shifted and all he could see was everyone upside down. Kenta had appeared behind him without him noticing and kicked his feet from under him.
His body spun midair before landing heavily onto the ground. "Goof ah..." Tony groan in pain as his face grimaced from the impact.
"You! Eek" Tony was just about to rant when the cold sensation of metal was pressed against his skin. "What's wrong, what happened to all that vigor you had earlier?" Kenta asked, tilting his head innocently. Kenta slowly brought his sword towards the neck of Tony; his sword was only a few millimeters away from making contact. "Oi! Wait!... What is it that you want. Huh? Money I'll give you all the money that you want. Property I'll give you the best property you could ask for, just please spare my life!"
With the impending death that loomed over his head Tony frantically begged for his life. Cold sweat was trickling down his brow. Seeing his complete change of demeanor Kenta was left completely speechless... 'What happened to all that arrogance?' he thought somewhat baffled. He continued to press the tip of his blade against Tony's skin.
"If I spare you, you'll give me anything, you say?" Kenta asked as he gazed down at Tony's pitiful appearance.
"Y-yes, anything you want I'll give you!" Tony shouted. "I see... well then. Please die." Kenta's merciless declaration echoed throughout the entire room reaching the ears of everyone present.
Tony's face paled as his heart thumped loudly in his chest. He was going to die, that thought agitated him filling him with fear.
Kenta was about to pierce the neck of Tony when a loud and authoritative voice reach him. "Enough! Stop this at once!" Kenta's hand, which was holding the sword stopped reflectively as he searched for the voice's owner.
Once he found who the voice belonged to his ocean blue eyes widened in a show of amusement.
"Oh, I didn't think you would interrupt considering you have remained neutral. Throughout this entire skirmish. Now why is it that you're interrupting now, huh? Is there a meaning to this bias?" Kenta asked as his gaze was fixed at Kito who had interrupted.
"This man is the son of a famous organization, I'm sure you're already a wear but his father is a powerful man you wouldn't want to become enemies with that organization, do you?" Kito inquired.
"He's got a point; I hear the entire company has advanced military prowess, no doubt attacking the son of such company is the worst mistake someone could make." "I agree I also heard the head of the organization dotes his son." "A war could easily occur if he hears that his son was killed."
Many voiced their own opinions on the matter. However, Kenta narrowed his blue eyes dangerously. "And what of it? Does it look like I care if I become enemies with a few people. You guys who like to flaunt your authority around you have no right to beg for mercy just how hypocritical are you people." Kenta said in a cold tone, his eyes filled with killing intent.
"Wait! Put down your sword that's an order!" Kito shouted his hand reaching towards the swords at his waist. Kenta stopped when he heard the words of Kito. "An order, you say, and who are you to give me orders? Huh, stop talking to me like you're my superior." Kenta said his voice filled with murderous intent. Everyone held their breaths as the atmosphere within the room became intense.
"Well things sure have taken an interesting turn, hasn't it?" A clear and beautiful voice sounded. Suddenly in the space between Kenta and Kito someone appeared between them. It was a beautiful woman with long wavy blue hair that had a tinged of silver and blue eyes dressed in a long golden gown decorated with beautiful gemstones.
"L-Lady Lauren what are you doing?" Kito exclaimed in annoyance. "What am I doing, you ask. That's exactly what I want to ask you." Lauren said, her eyes narrowing as she gazed at Kito. "I'm simply punishing the fool that dared to harm the son of the trading company." Kito replied. "The same son who started this conflict in the first place." Lauren replied somewhat unimpressed.
"I can't say I like the way you have been showing favoritism, isn't the instructor supposed to show the same amount of treatment to all participants? Sir Kito." Lauren inquired in a firm tone. "Ye-Yes ma'am but." Kito replied, lowering his head in embarrassment.
"Sigh, please don't allow such things to happen again, my father has placed a great amount of expectation in you. So, I will as well." Lauren said in a dignified manner. Kenta had watched the exchange between the two with a confused face.
This girl was speaking with Kito as though she was his superior, he couldn't quite fathom the reason behind all that.
"I'm terribly sorry about the way you have been treated until now, I can assure you no troubles will come your way anymore." Lauren said as she turned to Kenta.
Kenta stared back at her with a blank look before speaking. "Um... And who are you?" He inquired curiously. "Oh my, it seemed I forgot to introduce myself. I am Lauren Elmir. The daughter of the mayor of this town." she replied while raising the hem of her long dress.
