"What is going on out there?" asked Ireti as she stepped out of the kitchen.
"I have no idea" said Lawrence as he passed by, he had come out of his study to find out what the source of the sudden noise was.
"Oh I know that sound, that is the sound of the trumpets of a royal decree" said Tessa as she stepped out of the kitchen.
"It must mean that the Prince has a message for us, or something else" said Tessa as she seemed to be thinking.
That was exactly what Wura thought too! So she had decided to stay in her room and not to come out until the trumpeters left and said whatever it is that they wanted to say.
"Where is Wura?" asked Lawrence.
"She is in her room" replied Tessa.
"Wura" called Lawrence from downstairs.
Wura panicked she did not want to go out to face those people at all, so she just decided to ignore her father calling her.
"Hmm I believe that she cannot hear us" said Tessa.
"I doubt that" said Ireti.
"Wura" called out Ireti
"Wura" she called again.
"Diwura Lily Scot come down here right this instant" said Ireti as she called for Wura.
Wura knew that she could not hide any longer, if she did, she would end up in big trouble with her mother, and she did not want that at all, so she decided to go.
Wura opened her bedroom door, she closed it behind her and she walked down the stairs as she sighed.
"You called for me mother?" asked Wura.
"Yes Wura, put on your coat, we are going outside right this moment" said Ireti as she was already putting on her coat.
"Yes mother" said Wura sadly as she reached forward and wore her coat that was hanged nearby.
"I am coming too" said Tessa as Lawrence grabbed her coat for her as he reached for his.
And that was how their entire family ended up going outside in the cold to go meet the trumpeters.
"I seek for the Lady and Man of the House, Duke and Duchess Scot" said a man as stepped out from the midst of the trumpeters, he was a different man from last time that the trumpeters were here.
"I am he, and she is she" said Lawrence as he stepped out as the man of the house.
"I have a message for you both and for a Lady Diwura Lily Scot" said the man.
"I am she" said Wura.
"His Highness has a message for you" said the man.
"Alright then" said Ireti.
"But it is quite cold outside, why do you not come inside?" asked Ireti.
"As you wish Duchess Scot" said the man as he signaled his fellow men stay outside.
...
"Would you like a cup of tea?" asked Ireti.
"No thank you Duchess Scot" said the Man as he kindly declined the offer.
"Alright then" said Ireti as she sat down next to Lawrence, while Wura and Tessa sat down next to each other.
The fire was burning very hot in the fireplace and it engulfed the entire room with warmth.
Wura, Tessa, Ireti and Lawrence were sitting in one of the offices with one of the messengers.
"His Royal Highness, heir to the throne, Prince Liam of Wyverdale, has asked me to please express his sincerest apologies for not being able to make the meeting that he had wanted to take place tomorrow" said the man.
"His reason being for his cancellation is that an urgent matter came up and he had to attend to it urgently, he is currently on his way to the north to solve a minor misunderstanding" said the man.
Wura sighed, she felt a huge weight life off her shoulders, she was not going to have to meet Liam anytime soon and that relived her.
"The Prince said that he will make sure to return quickly, and he will hold his meeting with you soon" said the messenger.
"That is all" he said.
"Well I hope that his Highness resolves the matter in the north, he should be in no rush to return, the Kingdom comes first" said Lawrence.
"I hope that all will be well in the end" said Lawrence.
"And so do I" said the man.
"Well that would be all" he said as he stood up about to go on his way.
"Let me walk you out" said Lawrence.
"Thank you Duke Scot" said the man as he nodded and Lawrence followed after him.
To tell the truth, Wura hoped that Liam would not return anytime soon, that way she would not have to face him for a very long time, she truly hoped so.
"Well I will be off to the market now" said Ireti as she stood up.
"Okay Reti, have a wonderful time" said Tessa.
"I will" said Ireti as she smiled at Tessa.
"Goodbye Mother" said Wura.
"Goodbye Wura, and made sure to be good" said Ireti
"Yes Mother" said Wura as she nodded.
