This body had doubled physical stats than an average person, probably because of absorbing the Power Stone.
She tried to feel her legs and moved them here and there. Then she stood up and walked around to feel her new body.
She felt a long-lost familiar feeling. Feeling of being free, free to walk, as much as she wanted. Her eyes became for a moment, oh, how much she missed this feeling of walking on her own two legs.
She finally nodded with a smile on her face, showing her satisfaction with this new body.
She sat down again and pondered her current situation. She tried to use her space ability, absorbed from the Power Stone. But nothing happened, except for one change, she felt a small space pocket opened up in her perception, but that was all.
She nodded once again in satisfaction. She now had an extra storage space apart from her inventory.
'System, this space ability is surely not just for storage, right?' She was sure of that.
'Of course, host, the more you understand an ability, the more skills you can use and the higher level you go. Presently, you are only at a low level, and you haven't mastered your ability at this level.' He told her.
'En.'
A plan slowly formulated in her mind. It was crude yet simple but effective.
She opened her eyes once again and exhaled the fresh air.
'Host, what have you decided?' Seeing her in a relaxed state, the system asked.
'Is it not obvious? I am going to kill monsters and get stronger to survive.' She answered nonchalantly.
'Ok, host, good luck to you.' The system said simply.
A difficult to interpret smile adorned her lips.
The system was so easy to deceive. It was not that she did not trust him, it's just that she wanted to tease him a little in the future.
Her plan was not that simple, as she said.
Surely, she will get stronger by killing monsters, but that was the first of many benefits.
Second, she gets to exercise her space abilities while killing monsters. She wanted to see what level she would reach until she completed her task.
Third, she would get materials from monsters, which she could sell to earn this world's money.
Fourth, by favoring who she sells these materials to, she could have contacts and gain one or more allies. After all, she would need helpers to survive in this world.
Fifth, she will get SP from killing monsters. She could buy many things from the system shop with that SP.
And the sixth and the most exciting one was an item in the SHOP that she had set her eyes upon.
The Soul Scroll.
As the name suggests, it was a soul-related item. Its use was to bind anything to the user's soul. Be it an item or a weapon, and she wanted to bind a storage ring to her soul, that she had seen in the system shop before. This way she wouldn't have to rely on system inventory solely, she could have her personal permanent storage space.
So, 6 birds with one stone.
She thought, if her body turns out to be an ordinary human while doing tasks in other worlds, would she have to buy an ability every time?
What if she had to buy abilities in every single task world?
She did not want to. Doing so would cost system points, and she was not lucky enough to enter a world with plenty of monsters that she could kill and earn SP.
Another reason for wanting a soul storage ring was because she was afraid that her connection with the system might be cut off due to an unforeseen situation. Or he might unbind himself from her, so she wanted her very own storage space.
In her opinion, if she survives, this world would be her luckiest encounter. She named it "Farming World".
The soul scroll cost 5 million SP, a sky-high prize for her at the moment. But to complete her task, she had to kill 10 million monsters. She thought this amount was more than enough for her to buy it.
She also wanted to prepare some more SP for the future tasks.
She just had to get used to the killing.
Yes, survive first in the initial stage, and get used to the killing.
She took out her compound crossbow from the inventory, that was one of the weapons she brought from her original world.
Setting a bolt in place, she aimed the crossbow in a particular direction and pulled the trigger.
SWISH!
A whimpering sound came from that direction, which soon died down.
She was a Pro Gamer and had a good grasp at aiming at the target initially. After her three-day archery practice in her world, she was able to hit the target eight out of ten.
Her success delighted her, this was her First Blood in this world. Not that she had ever killed something before, but surprisingly, she didn't feel anything.
Ding…
Killed an E Rank Savage Wolf
+5 XP
She tilted her head looking at the Status Panel then grinned, it wasn't XP but SP in her eyes.
Looking at many red dots in the Map panel, she knew that she was surrounded. But instead of being scared, she was excited, all of these monsters were a great source of SP.
Come my system points, come to me…
He-he.
Looking at her eerie smile, the system shuddered in fear.
Grrr!
The red dots drew near and a group of Savage Wolves finally showed themselves with growls. They looked similar in appearance to the ordinary gray wolves of her world but double in size, stronger and much faster.
But it didn't matter because she wasn't an ordinary person either. She was a Ranker and her speed and strength was almost on par with them.
She took out another bolt from the quiver and knocked it on, aimed at the nearest wolf and pulled the trigger, taking out another one of her enemies.
The wolves growled in anger when they saw one of their brethren fallen and pounced on her simultaneously.
She ran forward at the same time as those wolves and without changing the direction of the crossbow, she fired at the wolf in front of her.
THUD!
The wolf was in the midst of jumping at her. The bolt hit the center of its eyes, piercing its head, killing it instantly. Its lifeless body fell down with a thud, opening a gap for Yuxi to get out of the encirclement.
She ran forward, jumping over the wolf's corpse and put some distance between her and the wolves.
The entire process took only two to three seconds. She didn't waste any time and turned around and shot down another wolf on her right.
After three of their kind died, the wolves grew wary of her. Knowing that she wasn't an easy prey, they approached her cautiously.
Their caution proved deadly for them. It gave her time to kill another one on her left.
Right after pulling the trigger, she turned around and ran towards a tree with a thick trunk she had spotted earlier.
Seeing her running away, the wolves chased after her. They were speed type monsters and were a little faster than her, and just when she reached the tree with a heavy crossbow in hand, they overtook her, but it was of no use.
She leaned against the tree trunk, which covered her back, and shot three more bolts in succession, taking down three more wolves.
"Seven down, five more to go." She said exhausted.
The remaining five wolves circled the tree trunk from a distance, trying to find her blind spot. The distance between them made it difficult for her to aim properly.
Before, she was able to shoot them in the head without missing, due to their close distance. But now, she missed one, causing the wolves to notice it and kept their distance.
It gave her time to breathe but also made it difficult for her to kill them, and the same was the other way around.
The wolves had to close the distance eventually to kill her, and she was waiting for that moment.
Three wolves were in front and two at her back right and left side. They probably understood that she couldn't see them properly from this angle because the tree trunk was thick, and it hid them slightly.
They most likely planned to ambushed her while she was focusing on dealing with the three wolves in the front.
They got in position and ran towards her at the same time. When they reached near her, getting the inertia from their running, they pounced on her once again.
But only two were able to jump in the air because right before their jump, she shot down the one on the left and moved around the tree trunk to her left side.
