She was lying in a white capsule shaped pod and submerged in green liquid, but she didn't feel suffocated, instead, she felt very comfortable.
She looked out of the glass cover and saw a white room filled with various medical instruments, she realized she was lying in a Healing Pod.
"In the end, what happened?" She exclaimed inwardly.
How did the bathtub change into a Healing Pod after she took a nap?
'You fainted from blood loss and exhaustion while in the bathtub. Your aunt found you and put you in the Healing Pod, and you were also infused with blood while you slept. How do you feel now, host?' The system informed her of the happenings while she was sleeping.
'It's very comfortable, thanks for asking.'
'En, it makes sense. The Healing Potion only heals the wounds and doesn't replenish blood. It's no wonder that I fell asleep when I found the first safe place after nearly a week of struggle and restless sleep in the dungeon.' She analyzed and figured out the situation.
She touched the glass of the pod from inside, and a virtual display showed up in front of her. She touched a few buttons and the green liquid slowly disappeared in the pod and the glass cover slid open, revealing her lying figure inside.
She was only wearing a thin white shirt on her body. She came out of the Healing Pod and stepped on the flawless white floor bare feet.
She was drenched in a green liquid that dripped on the floor from her hair and left wet footprints behind as she walked towards the bathroom.
She entered the bathroom and took off the white shirt before standing under the shower head. Water poured down on her body and washed away the green liquid sticking to her.
She combed her hair with her fingers to take out the green liquid in them. Her hair felt soft and silky to the touch, unlike the tangled and dirty hair before. Her aunt must have bathed her before putting her into the Healing Pod.
A blush crept onto her face, but she quickly accepted this fact because in her original world she was also helped by the nanny to bathe after she became disabled.
Then, thinking of something, she called out to her companion. 'System, can you see me while I am naked?'
'No, there is only a mosaic. Don't worry, host, I cannot pry into your privacy.' He assured her.
She breathed a sigh of relief. 'That's good.'
After washing up, she stood in front of a wall which had countless small holes in it and pressed a button on the side.
Warm wind blew from the small holes in the wall and her hair fluttered with the wind. After drying herself, she picked up the already prepared clothes from the hanger and put them on.
She came out of the medical room, which was in the same mansion where she lived. This medical room was especially prepared for her by her aunt, and not everyone could afford a Healing Pod at home.
Healing Pods were a mixture of magic and technology and were costly, only wealthy people could afford them. As for the poor, they could only go to the hospitals if they needed to use one.
While walking downstairs, she met servants on the way, who greeted her with smiles and congratulated her on her recovery. She nodded at them and saw her aunt through a glass window, standing in the garden while talking to someone on the phone. She went to the garden and tiptoed behind her aunt.
Yuxi knew that her aunt should have sensed her presence, but she still tried to be sneaky. Because Gu Yuxi was this naive and would have done so in this situation.
After coming closer to her aunt, she jumped at her back, "Auntie." She called her aunt cheerfully and hung on her back by encircling her arms around her neck.
Gu Zhanci hung up the phone and held her buttocks with her other hand to prevent her from falling.
"Sweetheart, how can you be so careless right after waking up from an illness?" The older woman said in a helpless tone.
She nuzzled her face in her neck, "I know you won't let me fall."
A helpless sigh escaped her lips. "Okay, come down now. Are you hungry? Shall I prepare a meal."
"No" She shook her head and came down from her back. After staying in the Healing Pod, she wasn't hungry anymore. "How long was I asleep?"
"Two days." Her aunt rubbed her head lovingly.
"Two days?" She exclaimed.
"Yes, let's go to the sitting area and tell me slowly what happened to you." She took her hand and led her to the sitting area in the middle of the garden.
There were sofas placed on three sides with a coffee table in the middle and the square roof was made of glass supported by special wooden pillars.
She took a seat across from her auntie and picked up a small plush pillow to hold it on her lap while sitting crossed legs.
"It's like this. The new friends I made in school found a dungeon undiscovered by the officials. I don't know how they knew that it was an E rank dungeon, but they decided to go into the dungeon to explore.
I refused to go, but they all voted in agreement, majority wins the minority, I had to accompany them into the dungeon."
"After exploring the dungeon for a while and killing straggler monsters, we encountered a powerful monster, a giant purple centipede. We didn't know that it was a unique monster, so others decided to fight it, thinking that it was E ranked." She took a pause in her conversation and shuddered.
A unique monster was a monster that appeared in dungeons, but not all dungeons had unique monsters. Its species is always different from other monsters of the same dungeon.
For example, the E rank dungeon that Yuxi conquered had Savage Wolves and Red Eyed Horned Rabbits and no other centipede monster. The one Gu Yuxi encountered was the only centipede monster in that dungeon.
A unique monster is always stronger than other monsters of the same dungeon and after being killed, it drops a Power Stone. It can only be encountered by luck and not be sought after.
Unfortunately for Yuxi, she was not a Ranker and died in its hands.
"They fought it and when one of them was about to be killed by it, she used me as a meat shield. I was injured and poisoned by the centipede monster and when it got entangled with me, they used this chance to kill it."
The woman sitting across from her had dark eyes and exuded a dangerous aura, which carefully avoided the place where Yuxi was sitting. Unaware of the dangerous atmosphere around her, she continued.
"After it died, it dropped a Power Stone. I was the closest one to it, I picked it up and absorbed it as a revenge for their betrayal. Afterward, I lost consciousness and when I woke up they were gone, they might have thought that I died due to poison. I also thought so, but I survived after absorbing the Power Stone."
"I kept hiding from the monsters in the dungeon for days, trying to find the exit, but I was finally discovered. The monsters attacked and injured me, but I was saved by someone who entered the dungeon at that time. She gave me medicine to heal my wounds and cleared the dungeon before leading me to the exit. After we came out, she parted ways with me and I found a coffee shop to borrow a cellphone to make a call." She finished her story with a mix of truth and lies, and peaked at her aunt like a child who had made a mistake and was afraid of being reprimanded by her elder.
Gu Yuxi shouldn't have gone into the dungeon without any protection in the first place. But she still went, this was her mistake and Aaira realized it. Afraid that her aunt will be angry with her, she adopted a good child's attitude to avoid being scolded.
Silence hung in the air, which was finally broken by Gu Zhanci. She knew that her niece was simple and naive and couldn't be blamed for this. She had already suffered a lot, and she couldn't bear to reprimand her anymore.
"Who are the friends who almost killed you?" She asked the most crucial question.
She told the three names without hesitation. "Auntie." She left her seat and sat beside her aunt, holding her arm intimately. "I want them to suffer as much as I did."
If you don't have the strength to take revenge on your enemies, tell your elders, and they will do it for you. Only stupid people will endure and wait until they get stronger to take revenge.
