Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 Virtual Simulation Training

She picked up her glass and took a sip of the juice. After putting down the glass, she leaned back on her chair. "For now, I want an unregistered E rank dungeon in about two weeks or so. I can give you five bottles of the Healing Potion in exchange."

Su Ming's eyes flashed, and she stated her demand forcefully. "Ten bottles, half in advance and the other half after you confirmed the authenticity of the dungeon."

She knocked on the table with her knuckles. "An E rank dungeon is not worth 10 bottles, and do you think such a precious potion grows on trees? Five bottles, and not one more. The rest can be done as you said, two in advance and three after I check the dungeon."

"Alright, alright, five bottles it is." After failing on her attempt to increase the benefits, she changed the topic. Because If what this girl said was true, then she would rather not offend her and lose such a good thing as the Healing Potion. Who knows, she might be able to further cooperate with her.

"By the way, where did you get such a potion from?" She asked curiously.

"Now, that is a business secret, but I can assure you that only I have this potion, and you can't find it from anyone else." She said with a smile.

"Okay, senior, see you in two weeks." After finishing her meal, she stood up and said goodbye to this senior.

"Wait, tell me your name before leaving." Su Ming asked from behind.

"Shen Yuxi" She waved her hand without looking back and left the cafeteria.

She had secured an E rank dungeon for herself, and now she only needed to concentrate on improving her space ability in actual combat.

After coming out of the cafeteria, she walked back to the teaching building but stopped when she saw a commotion on the side.

Some male students were making fun of a pretty boy and pushing and pulling on his shoulders. He looked overwhelmed with pursed lips but didn't try to fight back for some reason.

The boys laughed and mocked him, when they saw him not fighting back, they finally got bored from his lack of response and pushed him to the ground before leaving.

Like many other students standing around, she watched from the side and didn't interfere or notify the teachers to stop the bullying. Those bullies didn't hurt him in a real sense and couldn't be punished for just pushing him down.

As for stepping in person to help?

Without a hard fist, she would rather not get involved in anything. It might cause a chain reaction and end up revealing her true identity, which will be counterproductive to her plans.

She turned around and left the scene.

After sitting back in her seat in the classroom, she pondered about the possibilities of using her ability in a fight.

When the physical training class started, all the students in the class went to the training building.

The training building was made of special reinforced materials and had three floors with rooms on all four sides, a large open area in the middle with several fighting arenas erected above the ground.

Each floor was reserved for one grade, and the rooms were used by the students for personal training and self-examination. All the rooms were equipped with virtual simulation devices.

Physical training class usually consisted of typical physical training to increase the endurance of the students, and the duels were held at the end within two groups. One with the Rankers and the other with ordinary students.

After doing the endurance training, she sat down on the side with an excuse of discomfort and watched the Ranker students pecking at each other on different arenas.

Some students were weak and some had strong abilities, but as fledglings they were unable to properly wield their abilities. Not that she was any better in this aspect.

After a few duels, a female student went up the stage with her clothes fluttering in the wind. When she solidified a spear made of wind, it piqued her interest.

The boss Alpha Wolf she fought before also used wind element and was strong. But the wind slash she received from it couldn't be seen by her being unleashed because of the circumstances at that time.

Now that she saw someone solidifying an element, she wondered whether she could do the same with her space element. Could she also create a space slash or solidify a weapon like this girl?

The idea took root in her mind and when the spare time was given to the students for personal training, she went to a room on the first floor of the training building to try this idea.

The room was empty except for the virtual simulator hanging from the ceiling, which looked like a disco ball. But she wasn't interested in studying it and sat crossed leg in the middle of the room to mediate and connect with her element.

A few days passed by like this. She will use all her available time in the school in the training room. Then one day she finally succeeded in imitating a wind slash.

After spending a few more days in becoming proficient in forming wind slash one after another without a pause in between, she activated the virtual simulator for the first time to put her newly learned skill in actual use.

Opening the setting panel in the wall beside the door, she set the simulation mode to her liking, and put on the smart glasses.

The image of the room disappear, and she found herself standing in a square of a ruined city bathed in moonlight, half broken tall buildings covered by green plants, collapsed walls and unnatural silence all around.

A wolf emerged from one of the dark side roads, sniffing like it had sensed a prey. After setting his predatory eyes on her, it snarled and walked toward her, and picked up speed as it neared her.

She raised her hand in a clawed shape in front of her and when the wolf pounced on her, she waved her hand. Four invisible spatial blades shot out along with the movement of her fingers and made contact with the wolf's neck from below.

The shadow of the wolf on the ground turned into two halves, the head of the wolf in midair was severed. Its head fell down with a thud and rolled like a football, followed by its heavy body not long after.

A system notification popped up, informing her the quantity of used mana.

Without paying attention to it, she gathered her element on her fingertips again to greet two more wolves emerging from two sides, then four and then eight.

Each time she kills a group, the number of wolves in the next group would double. Their numbers eventually reached 32, and she was unable to take them down as quickly as small groups in a frontal combat.

By the time she killed half of them, the rest of the wolves were able to reach her and tear her apart. The simulation ended with her dying horribly.

Lying on the floor, with clothes drenched with sweat. She took heavy breaths and stared at the red lights blaring in the room, signaling her failure.

She couldn't even take down E ranked monsters, she was still weak, at the bottom of the food chain.

Her weakness was her defense. If she could use something that could prevent the monsters from reaching her, she could take her time to easily kill them, no matter how large their numbers were.

What should she use for defense, a shield? Nah, it could only protect her from one side.

Then, a protective barrier? That could work, but how to get a protective barrier?

She opened the Shop icon on the system interface and searched for something similar that could meet her needs. After skimming through various categories, she finally found something of interest in the ring category.

Ring Of Protection: A beautiful ring that could create a strong protective mana barrier around its user. It has its own stored mana and once it gets empty, it could be refilled with user's mana.

Price: 10k SP

Unfortunately, this ring had the same price as the recipe of the low-level Healing Potion, which Yuxi had already planned to buy. But that could wait for later now because she needed to increase her fighting ability at the moment.

What worried her was that someone might figure out the recipe of the Healing Potion before she could get a patent in her name.

"System, can someone else figure out the recipe from a few bottles of Healing Potion?" She asked, hoping that her companion would deny her assumption.

"They can figure out a few of the obvious ingredients, like Vitality Grass. It is impossible to know all the ingredients of the potion unless they have the ability to appraise. Even then, it will take time to research the correct recipe through these ingredients." He replied.
