As we sit near the fire we stay silent for the most part as I start mapping out our travel plan to eliminate the church. I eat another energy pill while I close my eyes mapping out the journey and places to avoid.
I keep mapping out the crusade while also marking down areas that should have a good amount of metals, though there infested with monsters. I mark down a few abandoned mines on my mental map as the night passes without issues.
We then pack up our stuff and I start walking with Angelica in a shadow hand. I'm in no real rush to be anywhere and I could use this time to try and figure out my Light's Bane while making my magic sword spell better.
After making the swords stronger, Angelica starts a conversation.
"How can you kill so much?"
"That stuff just doesn't affect me. There's an afterlife where they get what they deserve. Blood and bodies also just don't affect me." We stay silent for a few more seconds before Angelica speaks up again.
"Why do you kill in your original world?"
"To remove all the horrible things and make it a better place."
"Couldn't you do that without the killing?"
"With what? The power of friendship? That stuffs a load of bullshit. Besides if a twenty year old man preaching about friendship asked you to be a better person, you probably wouldn't take him seriously. But a killer that no knows anything about and can't be stopped? That would make anyone think twice." We both stay silent for a few seconds.
"So a symbol of fear is your solution?"
"It doesn't have to be pretty, it just has to work." We both just stay in silence for a while until I decide to fuse some of my techniques.
I already have the shadow swords and adding hundred scythes onto them without the spinning but the constant power up would be perfect with how little energy it takes to make them. I keep trying to make something happen but in the end the results aren't what I'm looking for.
After another hour or so of walking a black mist obscures my vision and I quickly take my guns before it disappears and Angelica taps my shoulder.
"Sorry, that was a new spell."
"Next time warn me please, I'd rather not always be on edge." She then shows the magic circle in her grimoire as I copy it into mine. I test the spell out on a small scale, just having it in front of me and finding it takes a good amount of energy.
That's another trump card to the growing pile, but it makes fighting against groups solo so much easier. I keep walking as I keep making more shadows swords and I decide to fake people out with hand movement when I cast them.
We keep walking until another group of bandits approaches us. They then start making a barricade and I swing my arms to the inside of my body. They bandits decide to jump back collectively only to find themselves impaled on my blade.
They all looked shocked as the life fades from their eyes. I bury their bodies at the side of the road as I keep walking. As we keep walking I manage to make a bit of progress with how the flying swords were going.
While I could make them, it took way to much energy to be of any use practically. I decide to put that on hold as I try to work on a cultivation technique. I decide to go for the basics by making a sword wing with a trail of lighting.
While it was only really useful electrocute some small fires, I was pretty happy considering it was my first technique. I then try adding it shooting water each swing onto the electrified blade. It takes ten minutes before I get a result I'm satisfied with.
Twenty minutes later and I manage to change the water into my neurotoxin and it still conducts electricity as an added bonus. I keep playing around with elemental blades until night falls and we make camp.
As we sit by the fire I shoot normal shadow blades at some trees trying to get the impact to change from going straight through the tree to instead split it in two. I'm working on this while trying to get the flying shadow swords.
"Do you ever stop working on something new?"
"I'm not strong enough and this is a better use of my time than a puzzle." Before she can respond I finally split a tree in two and a loud thud can be heard. I put the wood inside my storage while then stopping the tree testing as I make take a golem and I practice with it.
I start trading punches with my golem while using the AI I have to control my body to see how well it preforms. After 10 minutes of fighting I find that while it gives me better technique when it comes to base combat, it cannot use magic.
While it was a shame, I might be able to change that one day. I then stop the fighting as I go back to casting magic and adding some to my shadow so Angelica could sleep. As the progresses I decide to postpone the flying swords.
I start using my Mana and Qi to develop a 'sixth sense' that would alert me of danger from much further distances. While I did already have one, it wasn't very effective against faster opponents and people who rely on speed would be a problem for the current me.
I keep sending out my Mana and Qi as I breath in slowly with my eyes closed. When the sun rises I managed to get a something of a radar using my Qi. I was basically sending out my Qi in waves like radar, but when it sticks to something I can feel it.
It wasn't a sound wave but it shot really small and harmless needles, though I'm sure I could weaponize them, although that would ruin energy efficiency. I'll put that idea on hold until I get the flying swords to work.
