I stand there with my sword drawn while staring down Lily. We both just stand their for a few seconds before I dash towards her. She unsheathes her blade and my body jumps upwards while spinning in a vertical circle.
I force her to block the strike as she manages to parry the blade out of my hands. I then kick her in the chin from below while kicking her upwards. I then grab her leg in between mine and I slam her back into the dirt.
She lays there in the dirt for a second while I pull her closer to me and flip her over while putting her in a position easy enough for me to break her arms. I just stay their for a few moments before I make it look like I'm grabbing a knife from pocket.
I then pull the knife against her throat while I play dumb.
"Why don't we talk about this kid." She keeps struggling silently for a few seconds until Daniel walks up and flicks her across the forehead.
"What are doing sis?" I pretend to look confused while Lily looks at Daniel and replies while I make an excuse as to why I'm here that's believable.
"He's not supposed to be here." Daniel looks confused while I find the perfect excuse as to why I'm here. Turns out Amelia thought this was a joke and sold out a local restaurant, and this road was on the way to another.
"I'm not but someone bought all the food from my usual place so I had to eat somewhere else. I decided to look at nature and help a crying kid to almost getting my head lopped off." Amelia looks scared while Daniel walks up to her.
I toss her over to Daniel and he starts hitting her head while putting her in a headlock. I can hear snippets of the conversation. The words 'your fault' and 'dumbass' are being tossed around a lot though.
I wait a few minutes and Lily now has a slap mark on her face while walking over and apologizing. I exchange some simple conversation with them until I get something over the comm.
"Hey Barry, are rips in the sky supposed to be forming?" I instantly stop the conversation while I take my phone out and I start having a 'conversation' that those two could understand.
"The hell do you mean cracks in the sky?"
"Like your dimensional gat- holy shit, I'm assuming that's a wrym." A massive explosion then goes off and I can hear a roar. I then turn to the kids and start yelling at them.
"Come with me, some giant worm dragon thing just fell from the sky and I know somewhere safe." I then start running while using ventriloquism to speak with the rest of them.
'Head to our location, play off your magic as your superpower aside from Angelica, just use yours.'
I keep running for a minute or so before everyone joins us using their magic to grab us and we run to the top of a building and we all sit there. We all just sit around for a minute before I remove my mask and change my hair back.
Daniel and Lily then look at the change and while Lily goes to gab her sword Daniel stops her.
"What do you want from us?"
"It's actually just you, and I know why and how to stop those dimensional tears." Lily keeps her hand near her sword while everyone stands ready to fight expect me and Daniel.
"What do they want then?"
"You, or more specifically your superpower. I'm not sure if your aware but your sister here has regressed through time, and that drew attention to the world." Daniel looks at Lily and she looks away.
"The gods all found the real potential of your power, and so they are breaking the rules to try and get you by causing a distraction and kidnaping you. Unlike those guys though, we don't have a god. Just a group of talents."
"What's the catch?"
"We kill, I already have a body count in the thousands, and if you count past lives most of us have a bigger number."
"If I leave this world could I save it?"
"Yes, they don't want the world, just you. No god is stupid enough to defy D-E-M when there isn't a major benefit."
"Could Lily come with us?"
"Sure. But I suggest hurrying up before someone finds us." I wait around ten seconds before I get a reply.
"What do I get?"
"I'll teach you some magic or cultivation. Your choice. Same goes for your sister."
"Deal." I then cut a gash in space while everyone runs in.
I then quickly cut open another gash but we get flung outside and I start coughing blood.
I look over my body to find another punch, this one however was a lot worse. I shadow step over to the bed while I lie down.
I cough some more blood as I close my eyes, I decide to say a few things before I shut off.
"Make yourselves at home, I'm going to be out for awhile." I then shut myself off as the world fades to nothingness.
