I walk back inside my room and take out the needed supplies to start making the weapons while playing a match against Steve because he thinks he's a supercomputer he's the best at anything digital.
We start playing while I make the weapons with my magic. It only takes around half an hour to finish it all and I turn my hearing back on only to hear probably an enemy invasion.
"YOU NEED TO BE STOPPED!" I then hear Amelia scream as she's flung up twenty feet in the air only to be blasted down with a beam of light, leaving a crater in the sidewalk. Amelia then stands up while her heart reforms.
I watch as everyone just stands their silently for a few moments while Amelia walks back over and grabs her blades while I give everyone else their weapons. They all start swinging them around while I start printing the files on the next world.
After a minute they all stop swinging their swords and sheathe them while I project the files I have on them on the wall while my shadow hands give them the paper copies. They all flip through them and I stay silent and wait.
After a few minutes Justin speaks up.
"So who's going?"
"Preferably all of us, but if you want to sit this one out tell me now." No one says anything so I keep going.
"Once we get there I'm hacking into the database and we get them somewhere quiet and talk to them. If that fails we beat them up and take them with us forcibly. Now everyone understands how their power works, right?"
"I get the one that makes things worse, but I'm not sure about the causality one." Justin says this when Bianca was going to open her mouth.
"Let's assume time is like a strip of film, and the action of unsheathing your blade, slicing someone and then sheathing the blade is the movie. What she does is skip the middle part of the movie, leaving only the drawing and sheathing."
"So she's skipping time?" Bianca speaks up about this one.
"I guess that's one way to put it. She's skipping the time of the actual attack and leaving only the drawing and sheathing of the blade. She's definitely skilled when it comes to quickdraw so be careful if we engage."
We then discuss the finer points of dimensional travel while also getting a getaway vehicle. While were discussing, a bunch of people armed come out of a white van. I wait a few seconds before they take the first shot.
After a second someone starts shooting at us and I swiftly snap all their necks with some shadow hands. I then get rid of the bodies while everyone gets near the van. We then move our discussion to around the van.
"Are we really taking a white van to get children?" Marcia says this and everyone stays silent for a few seconds until Bianca speaks up.
"At least it doesn't have 'Free Candy' on it." Amelia then hops up on the van and some blood paints the side of the van with 'Free Candy'
"Now it's perfect." Justin rolls his eyes while everyone aside from Angelica chuckles, she just looks confused.
"Jokes Aside, it may feel wrong to us but that might not apply to the new world. I'll take it but if there's anything like this world I'm keeping it in the storage." I say this while cleaning the blood off of the van.
I then put the van inside my storage ring while cutting a gash in space. Everyone quickly dashes in while I cut another gash in space on top of building. I quickly grab everyone and shadow step down into a crowd.
We walk around while I download knowledge, I put commlinks inside everyone's ear. I look over their location and find that their house isn't so far away and school ends in an hour. Though sadly we cannot use the van or it will explode.
Apparently a hero called 'The Children's Hero' has an ability that saves minors from kidnappings by sending out a massive flare, the power also seems to immediately destroy any vans within 100 miles of a child.
I relay this information and Amelia burst out laughing while I just slip my mask on and change my face, hair and posture to look like an average salary man with glasses that I stole from a thug. I walk around and buy some food before walking towards the house.
I then wait near the house sitting on a bench eating a sandwich while letting everyone know of my location. they then send me there's and I mark them on my map and I wait. After around half an hour until Daniel walks over to my bench.
He then sits down next to me while crying softly. I wait a few minutes until he calms down somewhat and looks at me. I sit there and offer him a bowl of ramen I made and since it was in my storage, it's still warm.
He then takes it and starts eating slowly while I just sit there. After a minute or so I speak up.
"Wanna talk about it kid?" He takes a few deep breaths before he starts talking shakily.
"I trusted someone, and I thought they trusted me but it turns out they see me as useless. They even told me to kill myself because I'm so useless..." He starts tearing up again, so he eats some more and he stops.
"Well kid, I might not know you but I'm sure your better than them."
"But I only have weak booster power with a dream to be a hero, it's pathetic isn't it."
"Only a dumbass would look at it that way kid, it's not the flashy power or the massive explosions that makes a hero kid, it's the ideals. What good is super strength if it's given to a greedy fake? It might save people, but in the end it will hurt more than it saves."
"What's your power than?"
"Nothing flashy, when I get in a fight my body just makes the best movements and can process and predict attacks. While it sounds great, I'm still just a regular human, if someone with super strength or ranged attacks comes at me, I'm basically useless."
I then set my body to auto pilot and dodge a katana strike from Lily. Daniel looks horrified while I just pull out a sword from my coat while throwing my jacket to the side with my tie.
I switch to the battle god while taunting Lily.
This is the only way it's fun.
