Christian had made a few calls to have someone follow Jeanohntae around and report back to him. He did not want to lose her again without telling her the truth as to why he knows who she is.
Jeanohntae tried to brush past the fact that Christian had been looking for her since they met. 'What is going on. I feel like like I'm being stalked by him.' Jeanohntae didn't know what to think.
She did not understand any of it, but in her mind, he looked vaguely familiar but she could not put him anywhere. She decided to investigate it herself.
"Dad, where is the pictures of our old house!??" She asked
"In the attic honey." He responded with curious eyes.
Jeanohntae went up to the attic and what seemed like hours of searching. She finally found a box full of photos from a few years ago. She took the box to her room and dumped it on her bed.
She scanned each photo thoroughly until she found a photo of her dad, her, a little boy, and an older man that looks the same age as her dad.
She smiled at the happy people that were in the photo. It made her feel warm and happy inside. She finally snapped back to reality and realized that she can't remember who they were.
She couldn't quite remember them so she asked her dad.
"Dad who are they!??" She asked curiously.
Her dad smiled and started explaining, "That is my best friend uncle Joseph and this is his little boy. Your childhood bestfriend and sweetheart Christian." He said laughing.
"Uncle Joseph got a job offer in a different state and you started crying cause you didn't want Christian to leave." He explained a little more with teary eyes.
For years Rudy has been dreading the day where she might discover the truth. So he left out the part why they really left. He thought it would be best for her. "Why do you ask my dear!?? Did something happen!??"
Jeanohntae did not want to worry her father so she gave a faint smile. "Nothing happened dad. I was just wondering. I missed the old house so I wanted to go through our old memories together and came across this photo." Rudy started laughing. "Jean if you want to see more pictures, there's a photo album in the attic. it's supposed to be in the box that says Summer. I'm sure you'll find the album interesting."
Jeanohntae smiled and nodded. "Okay dad. I'll check it out later. I'm going back to my room." She stood up and kissed her dad on the cheek and went up the stairs to her bedroom.
As soon as she entered her room, she slowly closed the door and dropped herself on the bed. She was shocked after hearing her dad. Now she understood why Christian was trying to find her. Did he really know it was her!?? or was he just trying to see if it really is her!?? Her mind went blank. Suddenly she was more determined to find out.
'Is that what the letter was about!?? Uncle Joseph!?? Christian!?? Is that why he's been trying to find me!??' She had so many questions . She had to keep her findings about the letter a secret. She knew what she had to do.
