Jeanohntae quickly called her gay bestfriend Adrian who goes by the name Adrianisha now.
"What's up babe!?? He quickly spoke after answering the phone.
"I need you to pretend to be my boyfriend. I have an event I need to go to and it would really mean a lot if you came as my date and pretended to be my boyfriend." Jeanohntae quickly explained not giving him a chance to greet her with a sassy comment like he always does.
"Okay." Was all he said.
"Please! It would really help me out if.... Wait! Did you just agree!?? I usually have to convince you to pretend." She was shocked.
"Hon, it sounded serious and you know I would always do anything for you even if that means I have to use my real name. As long as it's for you then I'll do it." Adrian explained.
Jeanohntae would occasionally ask Adrian to pretend to be her boyfriend whenever she is being bothered by someone. Adrian would always come to her rescue whenever he is needed. He is not scared of no man, as long as his best friend is safe, then he is happy. The only man he is scared to meet his Jeanohntae's dad.
"Thank you!" She said with a sigh of relief.
"Anything for you, but if you don't mind me asking. why do you need me!?? He asked sounding so curious.
"I have a stalker that won't leave me alone and I want him to know that I am not interested." She explained. Not wanting to tell him that the stalker was actually her childhood bestfriend and sweetheart.
"Well then, I guess we're gonna show him who's boss huh!?? He started laughing. "A good thing your dad doesn't know about me!" He said laughing.
"I know, Thank you Babes. You saved my life." She quickly hung up the phone and got ready for the dinner.
6:00pm THAT NIGHT
Adrian was already there waiting for her while her dad eyed him up and down making him gulp for air. She went down stairs to see Adrian nervous about her dad's stare, "Dad, don't scare him." Trying not to laugh.
"Why didn't I know about this little boyfriend of yours!??" He asked still glaring at Adrian.
"I wanted to keep it secret for a while, but since we're going to meet Uncle Joseph's new lover, I thought I should bring mine to introduce him to everyone as well." She quickly defended Adrian who was still nervous.
Rudy shrugged it off and agreed as well. "We should get going. Don't want to be late."
After 45 minutes of driving, they finally reached the luxurious villa and went inside.
Joseph, who was waiting for Rudy in the dining hall. Ran up to him and gave him a big brotherly hugged and turned to Jeanohntae who has been quiet the entire time while holding Adrian's hand.
"Jean, it's so good to finally see you again after 12 long years. You're all grown up now. You look so beautiful and different." With a big smile and hugged her.
"It's nice to see you too Uncle Joseph. You look extremely well yourself." She said with a small shy smile not really remembering him.
'So you're uncle Joseph!?? I think I'm starting to remember. Uncle jojo.' She couldn't help herself but talk in her head.
Joseph quickly landed his gaze on Adrian who was still holding Jeanohntae. "And who might you be young man!??" He asked Adrian with a serious and deadly tone. Adrian however, wasn't intimidated by no one, unless it was Jeanohntae's dad. He never backed down from anyone.
"My name is Adrian Santiago sir, I am Jeanohntae's boyfriend. Nice to meet you Mr. Maddox!" Using his deep voice and gave Joseph a firm and strong handshake. Joseph was taken aback by the words Adrian had said.
"BOYFRIEND!" A loud booming voice sounded across the dining hall making everyone stare in the direction the voice came from. It was Christian.
He stepped closer to Adrian who didn't care about who Christian was as long as he was there for Jeanohntae, that was all that mattered. Christian gave off a dark and cold aura that left chills running down her spine.
He was intimidating. However, she was expecting this kind of behavior from him since he didn't know the meaning of leave them alone.
'I'm loving this already!' She joked in her head.
Jeanohntae couldn't help but smile at the thought of Christian getting furious after hearing one word. 'BOYFRIEND!'
'SURPRISE!' Jeanohntae yelled in her head as a big evil grin left her face.
She was pretty impressed with herself. Normally she would never do anything so crazy, but she needed to teach him a lesson. 'Don't take my words lightly.' She grunted In her heart.
'I still have questions for you all!' She thought in her head keeping a smile on her face.
