Jeanohntae hit the floor and could barely move. She felt like her lunges were giving out.
'Was I shot!??' She thought as she tried to crawl to her room.
Jeanohntae's neighbors heard the shot and called the cops. They were always very fond of her family because she would always help the neighbors with their groceries if she saw they needed help. So they were concerned.
The masked robbers was about to finish her off until they heard sirens. They decided to run and leave her.
Jeanohntae heard the sirens and tried to yell for help but couldn't. She lost her voice and started crying out for her dad, and surprisingly Christian as well.
She didn't understand why this was happening. She tried to stay awake but couldn't. Her eyes slowly closed.
The cops broke down the door and found Jeanohntae laying on the floor with a gunshot wound in her back. The ambulance came and rushed her to the hospital.
The doctors were aware of the incident and prepare an operating room for her arrival. When Jeanohntae arrived at the hospital, they prepped her for surgery and got started while the cops were finding her contact information to call a relative. They found her phone and called her dad.
*AT A BAR WITH JOSEPH AND RUDY*
Joseph and Rudy were catching up on everything and having fun.
But little did they know, they were about to get a shock of their lives.
"Hold on I have a phone call." Rudy said. "Hello!??"
"Hello sir, are you a related a woman named Jeanohntae Babauta!??" The officer on the other end said.
"Yes, she is my daughter. Is something wrong!??" Rudy sounded concern.
Joseph, who heard his best friend's words. He couldn't help but look at Rudy with concern and curiosity.
"Sir, my name is officer Jay. If you can, please come to the hospital. We found your daughter at home after receiving a call of what sounded like a gun shot. I'm sorry to say, but your daughter has been shot." The officer said sounding heart broken for having to deliver bad news.
Rudy was in shock after hearing such news. He didn't know what to do.
Joseph couldn't hear what happened but he saw the horror and pain in Rudy's eyes.
"What's wrong!?? Did something happen to Jeanohntae!??" Joseph said with concern in his eyes.
Rudy had finally snapped out of it and started to get up in a hurry. "We got to get to the hospital right now. Jeanohntae has been shot!" Rudy said yelling and panicking.
Joseph, who didn't know what to say was also in shocked and started rushing. He tried to calm Rudy down as they sped off to the hospital.
Rudy didn't wait for Joseph to fully put the car in park and bolted into the hospital with Joseph behind him. He ran to the front desk and yelled at the nurse to tell them where his daughter was. "Jeanohntae Babauta! Where is my daughter!??" He yelled at the lady.
"Sir, you're Mr. Babauta!?? I spoke with you over the phone. I am officer Jay. Your daughter right now is in the operating room. The doctors are trying to remove the bullet. When we found your daughter, she was unconscious." Officer Jay said.
Rudy couldn't hold back anymore and fell to his knees. He started bursting into tears while Joseph was trying to keep him calm. "Lord please save my daughter. She is my world!" Rudy started praying.
"I'm gonna call Christian to meet us here." Joseph stepped away.
Joseph called Christian five times but he never responded. 'Dammit this boy. Answer!' He cursed in his heart.
*MEANWHILE AT C.M HOLDINGS*
"Damn, this father of mine don't know when to leave me alone." He said angrily.
After the sixth call he decided to answer. "What!" Christian yelled.
"I have been calling you. Don't you know how to answer!??" Joseph yelled at his stubborn son.
"It better be life and death to call me and disturb me from my work." Christian said furiously.
Little did he know it is.
"Come to the hospital right away. Because it is life or death." Joseph said with a heavy heart.
Christian never heard his father sound like this in years. Which means it must be really serious.
"What happened!?? What's wrong!??" Christian said with concern after hearing his father. Joseph went quiet. "DAD!" Christian yelled.
Joseph sighed and said. "It's Jean." He paused for a bit not knowing how to say it.
Christian was about to yell at his father to spit it out. He couldn't stand the silence on the other end of the phone especially since it involved his love. He opened his mouth to speak but then he heard his father.
"Chris... Jeanohntae has been shot."
