"What brings you here, James?"
Valerie's voice was cold and aloof as she straightened up her back and saw the same man who plotted her death, here in this world and the other world as well.
She crossed her arms as she slightly tilted her head to the side. Valerie mused as she took a few steps towards him, "I don't think I invited you to be here."
James wore his linen shirts and a knee-length, trouser-like garment and boots to complete the look. He looked decent as if he was invited to the manor for a small dinner party.
He gestured at Valerie to go to the living room and have some small talk. Valerie nodded in agreement and went with him.
"Don't you think you're being too cold towards me?" James asked as he smirked. "Perhaps, you still had some feelings towards me, my ex-fiancee?"
With a small smile, Valerie chuckled, "You're still the same, James." Then, she paused as she looked him in the eye, "Your jokes are still lame as hell."
