Chereads / Come Back My Beast / Chapter 6 - Hooded Man's Company...Gone?

Chapter 6 - Hooded Man's Company...Gone?

What could get any worse than this evening? A witch was trying to kill her trying to get her heart! She's never felt so scared in her life she thought that was it but the hooded man saved her life.

She liked him though she didn't know his name or have, seen his face she enjoyed his company and their small chats. But him being a beast she yet couldn't fully wrap her mind around it she only believed they existed in stories but it turned out she was wrong there were werewolves even vampires and witches that lived out of stories and into the real world and out to get her heart.

She shook from the thought and laid back down on her bed. She needed to be up bright and early for the preparation of her sister Lillian and lord Isaac's wedding ceremony.

Only if it were her own. She's dreamed of having a big wedding in the chapel standing side by side with the man of her dreams with every eye of the whole kingdom on them with smiles upon their faces. But that was only a dream that could never come true when the man in her dreams will never be real and the village could be filled with witches vampires and werewolves it wouldn't be safe for her anyways to have everyone from the kingdom at her wedding.

She closed her eyes and let the darkness of her chamber, putting her into a deep sleep

Abigail walked through the forest when it was just getting dark and a sudden fear came over her she didn't want to be alone she had never been alone he had to be around but she couldn't see him as she looked around in the forest.

The wind blew through her causing her to shiver. she held her arms against her chest as she continued to find her way out of the forest on her own. When she was finally able to see part of the orange and pink sky at a long enough distance in front of her she exhaled a breath of relief and ran towards the end of the forest.

But then there was a scary creature that appeared in front of her. She fell back with a scream hitting her bottom on the ground and quickly scooting back in fear.

The creature strode closer towering over her with saliva dripping from its mouth as it growled. She covered her tear-filled eyes from the scary creature. She wasn't sure what it was she's never seen anything like it but whatever it was it was a man-eating monster and it was going to kill her.

She didn't want to die she was too young. She hadn't gotten a chance to tell the man how much she loved him and what it met to her for what he had taught her through the years as she grew up.

"Where ever you may be... I love you?!" She screamed it as loud as she could so that the man could maybe hear her confession before she died.

Her back hit the ground hiding her face waiting for her life that would be no more as the scary creature was about to lung at her. She screamed in terror but nothing happened.

The sound of the sticks and leaves snapped and crunched at a small distance and arms picked her up and put her back on her feet. She opened her tear-filled eyes only to be blocked by the chest of a man she didn't need to see his face to know that it was him she looked up into his eyes but what was strange about them was that they were an unusual flashing red and orange instead of his beautiful bright green ones.

The man in front of her caught her staring and he quickly closed his eyes and turned away. She was confused she hoped he didn't get the wrong idea when she was amazed by the change in his eyes she wondered how he did that it was quite beautiful.

She grabbed his arm gently. She noticed he didn't expect her to do so when he stiffened up. She wanted him to know she wasn't disgusted by the change but let him know she liked it very much.

He turned to face her and looked at her as if displeased by the way his eyes were.

She reached up to touch his face and smiled. "Only if you could see what I see and know that I think your eyes are magnificent." She cupped and caressed his cheek smiling and gazing into his eyes.

The man touched her hand that touched his face and frowned closing and reopening his eyes he gazed back into hers. His eyes mixed into beautiful bright colors before they changed back into his bright green ones. He took a step away from her releasing her hand and pointed behind her.

She continued to look at him confused she didn't understand what he was meaning when there was nothing behind her only the empty forest trail. She took a step closer as he took one back. What was he doing was he leaving her alone after the creature was about to eat her? She looked at him with pinched brows as she grew more confused about what he was doing or what he meant.

He shook his head and his lips partly opened as if going to say something.

Was he going to speak to her after all these years of silence? She's always wanted to know what his voice sounded like.

He took a deep breath without making a sound and parted his lips once more and lipped a few words to her.

She was stunned that he spoke to her but without really saying a single word or sound. He was trying to tell her something but she couldn't understand what he meant and as if he realized she didn't understand, he lipped the same words but used his hands to help her.

He first pointed behind her then he put his hand up resting above his eyes looking around then pointed to himself. But she didn't get what it was supposed to mean. She knew it had to be something about him since he pointed to himself but the rest was confusing to her?

After the long struggle of trying to understand she finally got what he meant.

"You want me to go find you but you are here?" It was a bit confusing to her unless he meant to meet him somewhere instead of going to find him?

He pointed behind her nodding for her to turn around and go. She nodded back and turned around and began to walk towards the exit of the forest.

When she looked back behind her he was no longer there and the chills of the wind returned.

She wasn't sure where he went but she only hoped he wasn't too far she didn't want that strange and scary creature to return.

When she made it out of the forest safely she let the last bit of the suns warmth take her then she went and walked further ahead and her eyes landed on a big oak tree on a hill and underneath it was the man sitting on the soft green grass with flowers beautifully spread across watching the sunset.

And as if he knew her presence he turned around and smiled brightly at her.

Abigail woke up from her wonderful dream and sat up with a stretch. She sat in a short silence before she became determined to know who the man in her dreams was. She's always wanted to know what his voice was like. Was it deep and sexy or soft and dreamy?

She was about the get out of her bed when she felt as if someone was watching her? But how would that be possible when no one was allowed to enter the castle grounds without permission? She let her eyes search over the window and around her chamber just to be cautious in case.

When she caught her eyes at the corner of her chamber she saw part of a cloak sticking out between the wall and wardrobe. She quickly hid behind her covers with a loud squeal.

"Who are you? Show yourself!" She demanded to know who came into her chamber uninvited.

"Sorry, my lady I must have entered the wrong room?" He answered.

"Show yourself what is your name?"

"My lady, I can not show myself or tell you my name speaking to you is already putting you in enough trouble?" He spoke as if he was bothered with the matter.

He couldn't tell her his name show himself, and speaking with her put her in enough trouble? It was him it had to be the hooded man that saved her life yesterday evening?

Who else couldn't tell or show themselves beside him?

"You?" She asked feeling at ease she let her body relax once more and smiled his way.

"Yes, my lady?" He answered almost in a whisper.

"It's you isn't it young sir? You saved my life yesterday, right?"

"Yes, my lady, that was I?"

She knew she was correct it could never be any other man besides him. But why was he here in her chamber early in the morning? Could he possibly be in trouble and had nowhere else to go?

"My lady?" He took a deep breath and became quiet for a few minutes.

"Yes, young sir why are you not speaking?"

She feared something was wrong with him and quickly flipped the covers to the side and got out of bed. He was a good man that she thought of as a good friend he was the only one who truly cares to listen to what she had to say.

"Young sir are you alright?" She stood at his side while respecting what he wished to hide. She didn't try to see his face even so badly she wanted to know who he was and why he had told her she would recognize who he was, immediately.

She looked down and noticed his tightly closed fist. Was he angry about something?

"Young sir?"

He suddenly lifted his head and smacked his tightly closed fist against the wall with a grunt. Causing Abigail to scream out how quickly it happened.

"My lady, what are you doing are you alright?" He spoke in an annoyed tone but his actions were gentle.

"I'm alright I just didn't expect that to happen? But young sir are you alright you were just standing completely still in silence?" She asked.

"Yes, my lady it happens every morning I'm used to it. I'm glad you're okay but?" His head slightly bent down and he signed.

"Are you sure you're alright?" She reached out to touch his arm.

"My lady his majesty told me to come here and say my final goodbyes to you so I'll take my leave now?" He released her hand from his arm and walked past her. "Have a good day my lady?" He bowed and exited her chamber.

Her father did what? How could he do that he is a kind man he hadn't done anything wrong? She quickly hurried out of her chamber to find her father.

She needed an explanation for why he was doing this.

When she had found her father in the garden she grew angry after what he had chosen to do with someone she thought of as a friend. Was she never allowed to make and have friends and always learn to be forever alone?

She didn't want that she wanted a life of her own she wanted to learn and explore new things but her father was keeping her locked up inside the castle of misery.

She quickly walked up to him as her face burned red like flames.

"Father? How could you!"

He turned in his seat to look in her way and displeasure spread across his face as he saw what she was wearing. "Abigail, what do you think you're doing wearing your nightgown out in the open?"

"Father, how could you do that to the nice man who saved my life!" She ignored his question and carried on with what she had to say. "Is that how you repay a man after he risked his own life to save your daughters from a witch?"

"You just throw them out to never again return?"

"Young lady I don't like that tone you use towards me?" He stood up from his seat and in only a few steps he was in front of her. "What has that boy done for your behavior to be like this? Why did you disobey me and touch the gate!" He raised his voice at her with his fury eyes burning back into hers.

She could never tell her father the truth about the hooded man and what he really is. Her father would kill him right on the spot once he had his men find him. So instead of telling the truth she did what was right for the safety of the hooded man and lied.
