Calley was reading a romantic novel while listening to classical music. She had just finished eat an extremely huge breakfast …it had been hours after Xai had left for work. Calley was already starting to miss him. Yesterday they had the best make up sex ever she thought to herself while smiling thinking about how amazing it was. All of a sudden Calley was feeling really super nauseous so she thought maybe she ate too much breakfast. She had a huge cheesy omlet, hash browns , bacon, a fluffy biscuit, and fruit with whipped cream sauce. Her stomach slowly gurgled and gripping her stomach she ran to the bathroom and vomited. It seemed like hours of vomiting when Barb knocked on the bathroom door. "Miss please open up I want you to take this" she said on the other side of the door. Calley opened the door and to her surprise stood Barb holding a pregnancy test. Calley was shocked. "Really? I don't think I'm pregnant Barb it's probably just my huge breakfast I had"Calley stated. "Miss please take the test just to be sure." Calley reluctantly took the test from Barb and closed the door once again and sighed "here gos nothing" Calley whispered hoping she wasn't pregnant. She knew that she just wasn't ready for a baby. It was way too soon to become a mother. Xai and Calley were just getting used to one another. Minutes after she had taken it she looked at the results…..two lines…. Yup she's pregnant Calley sighed. "Calley what did the results say?" Barb asked. "I'm pregnant". Calley said quietly and in shock. It was way to soon Calley franticly thought. She looked in the mirror. Would she be a good mother? We're they ready to be parents? Would Xai want this baby? Calley heard Barb call Xai and telling him Calley was pregnant. Calley closed her eyes would Xai be angry? "Miss, Xai is on his way home, he said to not go anywhere and wait for him. He won't be long." Barb said. Calley started throwing up again and again… she couldn't stop throwing up. After about 15 minutes of throwing up she went to the bedroom and closed the door and laid down on the bed deep in her thoughts. She was feeling weak and tired plus all of the worrying exhausted her as well. The door opened all of a sudden and Xai quickly walked in with a huge smile on his face. "I'm going to be a dad" he happily states while walking up and hugging her. Calley is surprised with his answer…. she was thinking he would be upset but strangely he seemed calm and happy "Your not mad? It's way too soon to be parents...we just got married…"Calley exclaimed. Xai sighed and ran his fingers through her hair. "Yes it's really soon but I am happy. Calley we can be loving parents and even though we don't love each other yet I know we will soon. I deeply care for you and I will be by your side throughout your pregnancy." He gave her a gentle kiss on the lips. "It will be ok Calley," Xai softly said while caressing her face. Calley fell into his embrace he made her feel safe. She rested her face in his neck. "Xai I'm scared….. I don't think I'm ready to be a mon" she said softly. "Don't be scared, we can do this together" he quietly whispered while tucking her in bed and giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Get some rest, and let Barb know if you need anything…. I have to go back to work. I'll call your parents and my parents on the way back to work." Xai said while giving her a goodbye kiss. Calley nodded yes and watched him walk away. Wow she was not expecting these turn of events ….. a mother? She was actually going to be a mother. The words were repeated over and over again in Calleys head just like a broken record. What were her parents going to think? They would actually be happy she thought to herself. This is something her parents had been talking about for awhile now. Barb walks into the room with milk and cookies. "Miss I brought you warm milk and chocolate chip cookies." She puts it on the table by Calleys bed. "Thankyou Barb" Calley said. Barb smiled softly and left the room. Calley quickly ate her cookie and gulped down her milk. That was delicious she thought to herself. She rolled over and closed her eyes deciding to take a nap because she was a little tired. Within minutes she was sound asleep.
When work was over Xai picked up some burgers and fries and brought them home for Calley to have for supper. When he walked inside the house there was no one there so he figured she was laying down. When he made it to the bedroom Barb was walking out. "Calley is still asleep Xai" Barb said. Xai noticed and walked to the bed and stood over the sleeping Calley. She looked beautiful sleeping there especially since she's caring his child. He gently woke her up and she blinked her eyes as if struggling to wakeup. She looked exhausted to Xai. He quietly handed her the burger and fries while holding her lemonade. She must have been hungry he thought because she devoured the food in minutes. He handed her the lemonade and she gulped it all down. After throwing away the trash from supper Xai decided to climb in bed with Calley and snuggled close to her. Within minutes Xai could tell by Calleys breathing that she was fast asleep. He stared at the wall ahead of him. He's going to be a dad with the woman he deeply cares for but at the same time they were strangers to each other. He couldn't help but wonder can they do this? Xai knew he must be strong because Calley is fragile right now so he had to be the strongest out of the two of them.
