POTTER'S RESIDENCE.
"So. . . You and Julian, have you two had. . ." Lucy supended, while sitting on Emma's bed in her room.
"Had what?" Emma stopped her current occupation and curiously asked.
"Had sex, have you?"
"No!" She grimaced. "We ain't like that together yet."
"What, 'like that' what do you mean?"
She dropped the cloth in her hand and joined Lucy on the bed.
"We just kissed once, and we really haven't even talked about it since. He hasn't even asked me out yet."
"Does he?"
"I don't get it," she exercised confusion.
"I mean will he? Do you think he will?"
"It doesn't matter, all I know is he loves me," she placed a hand on her chest looking aimlessly up. "I see it when I look in his eyes, he's got my back. So caring and protective."
"Protective, from what actually?" She hastily asked.
Emma gushed up from the bed and replied, "Trust me you don't wanna know."
She resumed back to her previous activity.
"Try me," she barely smiled.
Emma only stared at her and ignored. But then, instantly changed the topic.
"I don't see you with any phone, wrist watch or laptop. Why?"
"I-I don, don't," she stammered.
"What, you're strictly natural or what?" Emma again stopped and asked.
"Yes!" She vigorously averred. "I'm just fine the way I am. I prefer to keep to the old ways."
Emma smirked and Lucy as well played along.
"Well, welcome to the new world," Emma said. "You really must be a typical country girl. Look at your dress, your hair and the way you talk."
She added a smirk gain.
"I should go, I got a gentleman waiting for me somewhere."
"Wow! New in town and already flirting," Emma smiled wryly at her. "Well, go on, you shouldn't keep your date waiting."
Lucy got down stairs alone and walking to the door almost collided with Daniel as he first opened the door coming from outside.
"Sorry," he apologized.
"It's totally okay sir."
"Who are you?" He asked immediately.
"Oh!" She held and spread the helm of her long flare gown, broke her knees briefly and slightly bowed her head as a gesture of respect. And replied, "I am Lucy, a friend to Emma. Pleasure to meet you sir."
"Wow!" He muttered under his breath. "Good to meet you too."
He stepped aside and she went through.
"Hey Uncle," Emma standing on the staircase greeted just after Lucy left.
"Who's that medieval lady speaking the Shakespearean English?" He immediately asked laying heavy emphasis, and pointing at the door.
"A friend."
"A friend," he emphasized. "You're being too careless and submissive. After what happened with Audrey?"
"It's nothing uncle," she walked back up. "Besides, Julian touched her, he hasn't given me a reply, but if she were a supernatural then he would've long ago. Too paranoid."
CASTLE'S RESIDENCE.
"I still can't help but feel she's up to no good," Julian said wandering around, having William as an audience.
"It's been a week after her threat and I've been watching Emma as you wanted but still, nothing have happened yet," William responded.
"The Lucy I know wouldn't hurt her just to get to me. I think she'll target me directly not through her."
"Keep telling yourself that brother. She hasn't been on sight since except with her. And you think she got huge plans for you, just you?"
"Of course William!" He angered. "She has no beef with you. So all you have to do is keep watching her, I can't make contact with them together, if I do she might do or say something crazy."
"I only watch her at sundown, how about day time?"
That was of course a call to hear, so Julian stopped wandering and paused to think further. In the course of thinking, William walked to him and placed a hand on his shoulder and whispered, "How about the threat neutralize once and for good?"
"What? I'm not killing her again."
"No little brother, I am."
That evil smile always stuck on his face at times like these.
"Why?"
"For the record, I'm really not doing this for Emma, but for you. I don't want my brother going all savage again just because of fairies."
"White witches William, white witches," He corrected vehemently.
"Mother thought me that, not my fault," William said and headed out as the sun was already down.
"Brother," Julian called. "No matter what, Emma's safety first, and second, she must not know any of this."
He nodded at the brink of the door and proceeded.
CITY MALL, NIGHT.
William lurked in the shadows, calmly waiting on Emma to go make her anticipated move into the mall, which would leave Lucy outside alone. Soon, just as Emma left, William with deft gushed at Lucy but the blinding light which shown from her palms weakened him, and to his knees he fell.
"Ah. . .!" He groaned.
She took her hands away and the light went dim.
"Here to do your brother's dirty work, are you not?" She asked calmly.
"Look," he struggled as he stood up right. "You stop messing around and expose your plans already."
"Well, now that you've given me full liberty, I shall do well by it and get on with it then."
"What's it?"
"William," she held his hand gently. "I have no contempt with, all I what is Julian."
"He's my brother, you want him you go through me."
"Let's come to an agreement, shall we?" She demanded.
"What is it?"
"Emma is very powerful and pure in heart, a virgin for that matter," she began. "And with her powers joined with mine I can make you invulnerable to the sunlight."
"At what cost?"
"All you have to do is kill her and I'll consecrate her magic and I'll be powerful enough to get you what you want."
"You must be insane to think I'll even allow you hurt her," his eyes flushed with redness.
"Don't act like you care about her, you don't, you never care for anyone except your brother."
"You're right, it's not about her. You're telling me to betray my brother, my blood for my selfish sake?"
She said nothing but threw her face away.
"You have no idea, do you?" He continued. "If she dies, especially by my hands. You'll have the former savage Julian, even tens more back at you and everyone else. He'll tear this town apart, you with it and he'll not forgive me for the next hundreds of years. I've been with him all these years, and after you he never loved any woman till her, and before then, he was the devil himself."
"Perhaps, if you want her so dead why don't you do it yourself?" He further asked.
"Because white witches are forbidden to kill each other," she replied
"You're not in this alone Lucy."
"I'm alone in my vendetta. Perhaps, I can still get her powers without she dying. All you have to do is help me get her somewhere I'll be showing you in the forest."
"And when you get all this powers, how about Julian, still can't let you do that?"
"You and I know he needs to pay for what he did to me and my entire village! One way or the other." She yelled. "But I'm not going to kill him, I'll only make him suffer alive but he'll still survive and you two can continue with your brotherhood, with you walking in sunlight. You could be one of the most strongest vampires. That's not all, with my light in you, no white witch can hurt you ever again, after all we have powers like the sunlight."
THE FOREST, SAME NIGHT.
Emma had just woken, she could only see blurry around, but at least enough to determine the shape and images of humans around. She heard voices incoherently and was still weak to fully rise to her feet. As her eyes were wearing off, she saw Lucy rounding her in a circle of white dust.
"Hey!" William called out to Lucy. "What's that for? Only witches use that."
"It's part of the ritual, to keep her contained and drain her," she replied finally meeting the complete seal of circle.
"Wait a minute," he said and walked towards Lucy. "My mother said any ritual that has to do with involvance of natural materials around is normally influenced by a witch, a real one."
"This is a witch's ritual, is it not?" He asked consciously staring at her in the face.
Immediately, Lucy with just a flip of her hand pushed him away from her scorching light, which burnt his entire pectoral area.
Groaning in immense pains he asked, "You bitch, where are the witches?"
"Right here," she replied following the sudden appearance of women and men in black hoods. More of an occult costume
"Lucy, what's this?" Emma weakly asked, making to stand.
"Hello sister," she replied. "I'm a white witch like you."
"That's not what I asked, what do you want?"
Emma made to walk pass the barrier but it deflected back and she fell to the ground.
"You'll stay in there as long as the seal remains Emma. That's how it works."
"In case you're wondering, I'm Julian's first love, back in the 1800s."
"What, how?" Emma asked, again rising from the ground.
"He killed me and everyone in my village," she said and lifted up her shirt from the rib, and there was a clawed scar.
Emma covered her mouth with her hands in shook and a tear dropped down her cheeks.
"That's what he is, a monster, killer and ripper. He would say he loves you, then next you'll feel his claws deep in you. Murdered men, women and children through the centuries without remorse. Ruthless as he can be. He doesn't really love you, the Castles only care for themselves, their mother made sure of that."
"No no," Emma shook her head in disapproval.
"I'm sure he must've told you of his family's sad story, his parent's execution to get you all piteous of him, and there he gains his way to your heart."
At that moment, Emma began to break down as she thought Lucy might be right because Julian did told her of it.
"And William here helped bring you so that I can drain your powers and make him walk in the sun. Well, he didn't agreed that you die, but not for your sake but his brother's."
"William," Emma turned to him still groaning in pains from the burn. And asked, "Is this true?"
"He's in too much pain to reply," Lucy interjected. "Immortals barely heal from our burn."
"What do you want from me?" Emma asked further.
"William and Julian were born of a strong white witch, but only female children inherent white witch's powers, But after they were made into this creatures, Julian still had his gift of touch confirmation, and witch's magic don't work on him. William, not much but little. Julian was also made on a blood full moon, no one has ever survived that but he did. He's no ordinary werewolf, not an omega or alpha, he's the better of the two. So Stygian needs him, but to get him there we must use force which we don't have. If he shows up now, he'll rip these witches all apart, and my powers alone can't stop a werewolf like his."
"You still haven't told me how this gotta do with me."
"He seem to love you, so we need your powers with a little witch's magic to enable a potion that will stop him from healing, so make it easy for us to get."
Suddenly, a roar was heard and so was the scream of few of the occultist witches.
"Get ready to confirm his brutality," Lucy said and rushed into the barrier, placing a knife under Emma's throat.
They only heard air whooshed and after it the mix screams of their fellow members. They breathlessly looked around with daggers in their hands, all alarm and vigilant as their witch's magic won't help them from the opponent.
"Enough!" Lucy yelled. "Show yourself or I slit her throat."
After a while Julian came out of the shadows bare chested, with blood of his victims stained all over him, and the blade cuts from the daggers healing back.
"There you are," Lucy smiled.
"Don't worry Emma, she can't kill you," William urged trying to stand to his feet.
"I lied, I can do anything. I used you," Lucy said even moving the knife tighter to her skin.
And Emma was slightly wounded and blood rolled down the blade.
"Stop!" Julian shouted. "What do you want?"
"Simple," She moved her head as an order to one of the witches.
One of them walked to Julian and handed him a black liquid in a potion bottle.
"Drink that now," She instructed even moving the knife even more tighter.
"What's this?"
"Don't do it brother," William cautioned. "You'll become vulnerable."
"Are you going to listen to the brother who betrayed you for his selfish purpose or I that controls the moment?"
He hesitated looking at Emma in pain, she could barely relax her head as she stuck it up to avoid further cut from the blade. Even worse, she was in tears, sobbing which totally knocked him off his feet. So he had no choice but drank down the potion.
"Good boy," Lucy exclaimed and pushed Emma forward while the seal was broken by a witch. "Now, focus and channel your powers out to him," she said and still burnt Julian with her light to weaken him not to make any fast, smart move.
"I can't," Emma complained. "I don't know how to use my powers."
"William did not teach you? Or he hasn't met you for a favor yet?" Lucy teased.
"Now close your eyes," Lucy instructed. "Know what you want to do now and believe."
She closed her eyes and did exactly as she was just instructed as in no time, a bright light began emerging from her eyes and palms, then to Julian it all went in. And suddenly, she screamed and the light got brighter and boom! It blasted like a supernova, taking all that was close to her away. And she fell, and the light also went dim.
"Get him!" Lucy from the ground commanded.
Immediately, the witches descended on Julian in his weak state and their blades mauled him, like ants feast.
William was however vehemently affected by the supernova and his critical condition couldn't allow him help his brother either, yet he crawled on the ground to him. Julian nevertheless was still hidden down from the coverage of the witches. And suddenly, he rouse up in a shield breaker, giving a loud roar, and all apart they fell away. With the little strength left he fourth back with strive and resilience, brutally tearing the witches apart.
When he was done, he and Emma only were left standing above the separated human parts. His skin color was barely revealed as it was all washed in his blood and victim's.
"Emma," he called softly.
He reached out his hand weakly to her but she drifted back and down he dropped lifelessly. His wounds were still open, unable to heal, and they were so fragile that blood kept pumping out like a leaking drainage.
"You're a liar and a monster," she finally said, sniffling softly. "You're better off dead."
"W-what, what are you doing, where are you going?" William struggled crawling to his brother's lifeless body.
Acting on her words of hate, she turned a blind eye and simply walked away.
"No no no, get back here!" William called out for her. "You did this you can undo it. Please. . ."
"Now you're begging like a baby," Lucy said, gently walking forward. "I brought the Castle down to their knees," then she bent to William. "This is what happens when you mess with people's lives. Now his pathetic life is in our hands, we decide if he survives or dies."
"Goodnight William," she said and whipped a heavy wood across his face and he was off.
