Driving through the quiet road of the forest in broad daylight, the conversation between the two ladies was lifeless and dull. Emma barely brought up a scintillating topic to cheer the moment, her hands were straight up the steering and eyes focused to the front. However the mind held a mood of its own. Alisa sitting by the right side of the front seat would stare at her, and try to read her, but all she could vibe was the thought of her hair being cut low, which might be responsible for her woebegone face. Well, could that really be it? Because she even looked more gorgeous with the hair cut, especially it being dyed grey, where apparently they were just coming from.
"What's up," Alisa suddenly inquired. "Why the long face since from the Salon?"
She steered her face slightly to Alisa and then back on the road quietly.
"Well, I still ain't worth being your friend," Alisa withered dejectedly.
Emma instantly got clouded with guilt so turned to her and replied, "It's not like that Alisa. I know friends have suck me up these past months okay? But now you're my only friend and I trust you, we are friends."
They both smiled at each and Alisa placed her palm on Emma's hand on the hand gear.
"It's Julian," Emma revealed.
"Whoa!" She exclaimed. "Baby, is he still holding a grudge?"
"Nah," she vigorously shook her head. "I am. I'm keeping distance."
"W-why? He loves you, that I know for sure."
"I know, it's just that after everything that happened I don't know how to make it work with him again like we were. And I miss him alot."
Her eyes moistened with tears but still contained.
Alisa reached and placed her hand at the back of her head, stroking her short hair.
"Let it out, spread your wings and fly, you deserve the best."
Emma then smiled radiantly and with the morale just installed, she stepped on the gear and the car bolted with more speed.
"Hey!" Emma called in her state of perkiness. "You're ruining my dye, take your hand off."
"Oh!" She hyped taking her hand off, then observing her fingers of possible stains from the grey dye. "Have I even mentioned? You look exquisite with this hair cut."
"Wow! Thanks to Marcus, that asshole."
They chuckled happily.
"So how about you and Wi. . ."
"Watch out!" Alisa hyped battling with Emma for the steering as something suddenly appeared in the middle of the road from nowhere.
Emma matched the brake while making unsteady drifts and skids, and the car suddenly stopped with the collision from a stagnant tree off the road.
"Are you alright?" Emma slowly reached for Alisa.
"Yeah. . . Am still alive but don't feel too good."
Emma got down and weakly shuffled to the other side where Alisa was to help her out. She tried but the seat belt was stuck, and with the scorching burn of her fingers she was able to bun it off her. She further proceeded helping her out, but Alisa couldn't stand on her own, she was dizzy and bleary-eyed, forehead just beside her eyebrow slightly bleeding. So she sat down on her buttocks to enable her recover quickly.
"What was on the road?" Emma asked sighting around for visuals.
"I think I saw something a shape of a man, can't really say, everything was so fast."
"It's been a long time Agnes," a male voice filtered from the coverage of the car.
They cautiously skedaddle away in anticipation of who might come after the voice. And behold, a tall and sinewy man walked forward from the car, dressed in in a fitted ash colored suit.
"Shouldn't you be in the office reading some files than skulk in the woods like a stray criminal?" Emma asked.
"I wasn't talking to you spoilt brat," the man replied, then focused on Alisa. "Agnes, right?"
"Fuck you! It's Alisa," she replied trying to fight her unclear sight and get a better look at him.
"Well, she didn't beg, would you then?" He asked smirking.
With the sudden reaction she made it was obvious a memory was jogged, even without getting lucid visual due to her current situation.
"Zolomon," she said. "You son of a bitch!"
She instantly gushed at him but fell with just two steps on.
"Now, I'm gonna ask you this once, where's the moon curse? Where's the pearl?"
"I'm not letting you anywhere her," Emma challenged helping her back up.
"You think your voodoo magic can stop me? How fast can you get to me before I get to you?"
"I say fuck off!"
Her eyes blared white but Alisa in her weak state held her hand.
"Wait," she requested. "He's ancient, an alpha and so different. Not like this."
"White witch," he explained surprise. "Do you even know what really you are?"
"I know enough to roast you like a nice steak."
"You two alone, I don't think so," he disagreed waggling a finger at her.
"Who said we are alone?" Emma responded with a nasty smile expressed just one side of her lips.
Immediately, the leaves of the forest rouse above ground as air whooshed and William was present at once with Lucy. Less than a second, the leaves that sheltered around the forest splayed away as Julian landed through with Daniel at his grasp.
"I got your call," Lucy affirmed to Emma.
Howbeit, Alisa stared oddly at them both and was bit perplexed, because she couldn't relate any instant memory of her viewing Emma making a call, but with the facial response of Emma, it became obvious it was a mind thing between white witches. And she as well stood to her feet, probably strengthened with the presence of her friends.
It was dramatic and amazing, all six of them against Zolomon. He looked stunned however, but not being any less aware of his own possession giggled after a while of silence.
"Who're you guys?" He asked.
"We're Shaders, and we protect this town," Julian stepped forward and replied.
"You look familiar, have we met before?" Zolomon asked just after giving him a strange look of familiarity.
"State your business here at once!" William interjected from behind to the front.
"Gang up huh?"
He turned and whistled.
"He's not alone," Julian said in response to his distance hearing and high sense of smell. "An army is coming."
In a jiffy, Zolomon's back was crawling with an army of werewolves, all just rising up from their four legged run.
"Alphas," Alisa exclaimed nervously.
Five alphas took head lead just beside Zolomon, and they really looked tough even by appearance.
"Six weeks ago I sent a whole pack to retrieve the pearl on the blood full moon, but none returned till this day," Zolomon said. "So I ask again, where the hell is the pearl!?"
They were all quiet so one out of the five alphas spoke, "My name is Alvin, and we six were the protectors of the pearl a thousand years ago before it was stolen by the witches. We're a pack of mighty alphas, the oldest in the history of werewolves."
"We're not here to make war," Another, James took on. "We only want the pearl, it belongs to the wolves and it's our duty to find the right absorber of it, and make him a full Blood Mooner. You're a werewolf, you should know."
"How will you know if someone has absorbed the moon curse?" Julian asked.
"He will have the moon's eyes," James replied.
"Are you looking for these?" As the words filtered from his lips so did the revelation of his neon grey eyes.
They all marvelled, and at once all fell on their knees, each with one knee in a sounding chanted.
"We pledge our lives and allegiance to you, lead and we shall follow, command and we shall obey, Blood Mooner!"
All in a rhyming voice, except for Zolomon who faced the greatest dejection ever.
That was not expected, and the six Shaders only stared at each others stunned faces, then let go of their violence thoughts and preparations.
"Why are they not rising yet?" Julian asked as the men all maintained with a kneel and face down.
"Because they're waiting for your order, Blood Mooner," Zolomon replied slightly bowing down to pay his simulated allegiance.
"Oh!" He hyped as he exclaimed. "Rise at once."
They did and he continued, "Now, I need you all to leave Shade and wait till I call."
"Aye Blood Mooner!" Again in a voice with Zolomon always left out.
"Come on," Emma interrupted. "'Aye'? we are not pirates."
They chuckled and even the stiff, tied up faces of the alphas loosened up to a smile from her slight humor.
They all began receding away which Zolomon hesitated and tagged along reluctantly, making sinuous movements.
"You loose Zolomon," Alisa said moving forward from her friends. But it's not yet over, you and I."
"I'm counting on that," he averred. "Sorry for the car, white witch."
SHADE TOWN CEMENTARY, NIGHT.
Incantations could be heard as it was silent, then smoke. Julian walking on could sight Alisa in a white drawn circle with candles surrounding her. She was so committed to her voodoo activity that she didn't even noticed the sounding footsteps of his hard boots.
"What's happening here?" He asked walking to her front.
She shrieked opening her eyes, and an effect occurred as soft air howled blowing off the candles.
"What are you doing here all by yourself?" He asked again.
"I'm not by myself, you're here now, ain't you?" She replied standing. "How did you find me?"
"You were acting strange after the incident with the wolves, so I followed you here."
"The energy in the cemetery is always more, so I came here to prepare and fight Zolomon. He killed my mother with a lot of witches back in Hilltop."
"That's crazy, you would've invoke us to help."
"Yes he's right," William averred coming from their back. "What the hell were you thinking?"
"This is my fight, okay? I can handle him solo," she defended.
"Our fight, silly girl," An anonymous countered, then an unknown lady showed up simpering at them.
She was in fact, pretty and intensively fair in skin complexion, and her hair was long and flowery.
The three Shaders assembled on the same side with caution, thoughts and eyes filled with curiosity, mind set for action.
"It's our fight, isn't it brothers?" She said and tossed a decapitated head to their feet.
Taking a closer look at it, it was Zolomon's head, and that left them totally bemused.
"Brothers, you mean we being brothers or your brothers?" William asked.
"Isn't it obvious, brothers?" She replied properly walking closer to reveal herself better for a clearer picture. "My name is Willow Castle, and I'm you two boy's big sister."
