Chapter 12 - Chapter 11

FOREST, SHADE AND HILLTOP BORDERS.

"Keep moving Rex, keep pushing forward," Alisa urged as she supported his wounded companion. "We are already in Shade, we need to get out of sight."

"Leave me. Save yourself Alisa, save yourself."

"We're in this together, to the end."

Together they kept shuffling on and further, and after a while they rested under a tree with her changing his bandages as the previous were all soaked in blood.

"Alisa!" Rex hyped alarmingly.

"Stay still," she held him back.

"No," he protested breathlessly. "I can hear them, they're catching up," he then held her arm. "Look, you gotta go, I'm a dead man already, but you, you have to get the pearl to him and complete the mission."

"Nobody is going nowhere," a stray voice spoke, then an angry man showed up before them.

He was softly growling and his eyes glowed blue. He was a werewolf, an alpha. And more came behind him, omegas as their eyes were slightly yellowish.

With a flip of Alisa's hand the alpha was taken back from a forceful telekinetic push.

"They're too many," she said.

"It's a whole pack," Rex averred galloping the tree to stand.

"Don't worry, let me see what I can do," she said and began incantation.

Soon, the wind around started howling, and the roots of the trees busted it's way out of the ground and she used her telekinetic abilities to attack them with the roots, driving it in and out through their body as they attacked back. Suddenly, a bright yellow light shown through and the whole telekinetic display all went down, and so did Alisa. Behold, a white witch walked forward from the side of the werewolves.

"Alisa!"

Rex jumped immediately in interception of the light fired at Alisa, protecting her from its burn.

"Rex!" Alisa shouted as he fell so had and was critically burnt.

"It's all over, the pearl," the alpha requested walking to her.

Immediately, the wind suddenly whooshed, like something really fast had fired pass them, then next the alpha was standing without a head on his shoulders.

"What was that?" The white witch inquired wandered in anxiety and curiosity, and so did the rest of the werewolves.

"It's a vampire," one of the werewolf said.

"No, in day light?" The white witch declined.

"Over here dogs," William revealed with all attributes that affirmed he was ready for a fight.

"Bring me his head," the white witch ordered.

The werewolves just as their name implies, in a formation attacked William. They were four and he alone could hardly take them, but he was assisted by Alisa only to weaken them with her telekinetic attacks, while he did the rest and most of it.

"Is there more?" William asked as the last one fell.

Immediately, the white witch's fire ball hit him to a tree and then the ground.

"Ouch!" He stylishly exclaimed dusting his jacket.

"That's impossible," she marvelled. "You're protected."

"Yes, by a white witch," he admitted and went at her, but she instantly created a light shield and protected herself in it from external attacks.

Within the shield, a root busted from the ground and drove right from in-between and underneath her legs, and out to the mouth. A courtesy of Alisa.

"Thank you," she appreciated standing.

"Not yet," William replied with a grim look appearance. "I hate witches, and that's bad for you."

"No please, we're here in peace," she said reaching out to Rex.

She touched and felt his pulse but he was barely moving, so she rolled him over as he laid face down.

"Who are you, where are from and what's your business in Shade?"

"I'm Alisa, this is my companion Rex, a werewolf. I'm from Hilltop Town. But my business I can't disclose to you."

"Then I guess am gonna have to get it out of your dead body," he threatened, and his eyes flushed with redness and he went at her.

"I'm looking for the sons of Castle," she hastily said keeping her palm at him in case.

"What do you want with them?" He froze and asked curiously.

"I don't have time for your questions!" She yelled. "Right now I need to get Rex to a hospital, he can't heal from the burns like this. Or I need a white witch to slow the burn down."

"I know one," he said and took Rex on his back and led the way while she followed.
