Spring.
A time for rebirth, renewal, and awakening. It was the time when green would gradually take over the brown on Earth.
Strands of thin light from the sky woke up the plants that were sleeping during the Autumn, and those plants indeed couldn't sleep anymore because there was a carnival of pleasant scents blowing in the air.
Spring.
A time for rebirth, renewal, and awakening. It was not only the time for the plants outside the castle to wake up, but it was also the time for the red rose inside the tower prison to wake up.
The red rose didn't shiver during Winter, didn't wither during Summer, and still standing tall during Fall. However, the red rose would only wake up for real during Spring.
A mysterious red light surrounded the red rose before the flower gradually transformed into another shape. The red petals turned into a redhead, the stem turned into a body, and the leaves turned into the four limbs.
A pair of lids carefully opened, and a pair of silver disks greeted the first day of Spring. Red long wavy hair, green dress, and she was indeed the red rose.
She had been living as a red rose for fourteen years, and she would be able to transform into her human form during the Spring. She was in her human form during Spring, but she felt like she no longer recognized herself.
When she brought her silver eyes to look at her reflection in the mirror, she didn't know who was looking back at her from the mirror.
Fourteen years had passed, and she was indeed no longer the ten-year-old princess who could only play with the rabbits and the flowers in the palace garden.
She had grown up to be a 24-year-old princess who looked more mature and beautiful, but she didn't think that it was still her inside the body.
She no longer saw the silver hair in the reflection. The silver hair was gone and replaced by the red hair. And she remembered that she would only wear a white dress every day fourteen years ago, but now she was wearing the ugly green dress that didn't match her fair skin at all.
She saw the stranger on the reflection, but when she moved her hand to touch the red hair on her head, the reflection followed her movement.
She knew that the stranger on the reflection was herself.
She knew about the change in her body since fourteen years ago, but every time she just awakened from her 'sleep,' she would always feel upset when she saw the reflection of herself.
She was Princess Ievna, the pitiful princess who lost her parents fourteen years ago because of the wicked witch named Sharass. Her parents were burned to death by the witch in front of her eyes, but she could do nothing to save the ones she loved.
Her parents had begged the witch so that the witch would let her alive, but she couldn't do anything and just silently cried when she could only see the ashes of her parents.
Her dear parents. They loved her so deeply ever since she was born to the Earth. She was the princess of Shovalon, but she always believed that she was only the princess of her parents.
She was just a little princess of her parents, and she didn't wish anything other than her parents' happiness. However, the witch Sharass had killed her dream, and she no longer had any hope in this world.
She managed to escape death, but Sharass cursed her to be a red rose instead. Red rose was indeed her favorite flower since she was young, but now she hated red rose so much.
Just because she wore the crown made of red roses on her head fourteen ago, it inspired Sharass to curse her instead of killing her. Perhaps it was just a lame excuse from the evil witch, but she didn't care. She hated red rose now, and she hated her miserable life as well.
"Clean all the ruins left by those witches! Don't let any traces of those witches dirty this palace!"
She could hear someone shout from the outside of the tower, and she decided to leave the mirror and head to the small window that let the sun bathe her body every day.
The pair of silver eyes looked down at the yard, and she found many people working in the yard. Moving some objects, sweeping the ground, and getting rid of trashes, those people seemed busy with their activities.
It had been fourteen years since the kingdom of Shovalon was in the witches' grip, and she was used to the horrible sight of the palace. There were no longer flowers, and even the grass had died because of the bad treatment of the witches.
However, what greeted her silver eyes today was different from the usual sight he saw in the last fourteen years. Someone in blue hair seemed to be instructing his subordinates to renovate the palace, perhaps trying to bring back the beauty of Shovalon.
Princess Ievna might be locked in the tower prison all these years, but she knew what happened in Shovalon yesterday. She knew that someone managed to defeat the witches of Wemor, and she knew that the person managed to snatch this kingdom from the witches' grip.
The witches of Wemor had destroyed the whole kingdom of Shovalon, and finally, someone managed to end the witches' supremacy and even managed to snatch this dead kingdom from the witches.
Now the princess could see how the unknown people seemed to be wanting to rebuild this kingdom, but Princess Ievna could only smile bitterly at the sight.
"Do you think you will be able to rebuild this dead kingdom? Do you think you will be able to give me a new life? What can you do for me when Sharass has died now? I will forever be the pitiful red rose here."
