Princess Ievna was scared to death when Prince Reigen suddenly said that he wanted to tear down the old tower. The old tower was her prison for the last fourteen years, and it looked like something that was restricting her movement.
At first, that was how she described the tower. In the past, the top-most room of the tower was just a room that was bounded by four walls that limit her movement. No more and no less.
However, her opinion of the tower changed since the witches of Wemor were defeated by an unknown kingdom. The people from the unknown kingdom did kill the evil witches, but the princess didn't want to immediately trust those people.
That was why the red-haired princess began to see the tower as her hiding place. The tower was the safest place for her, and when she heard that the prince wanted to tear the tower down, she couldn't help feeling panicked.
She was not ready to be caught by those unknown people. At a time like this, her vision about a friend and a foe was blurred.
Fortunately, the prince didn't knock down the tower right away. Even if his subordinates did not dare to oppose his idea, he did not immediately destroy the old tower.
Thus, Princess Ievna could breathe a sigh of relief the next morning. She knew that the peaceful condition wouldn't remain forever, but at least, she had more time to find a way to escape.
This morning, nothing had changed in her. Since the golden medallion rose to greet Earth, she could once again transform into a beautiful princess. It was still early in the morning, but her ears had already caught the sound of people outside the tower.
The voice forced her to walk towards the small window again and peer into the outside world.
There near the palace gates, she could see a royal carriage made of gold neatly parked. At a glance, she could tell that the one in the carriage was no ordinary royal family.
Apart from the carriage, she could also see several people standing near the carriage, waiting for the people in the carriage to get off the carriage.
Princess Ievna recognized the figures of two men waiting there. They were the black-haired prince and also the blue-haired man who she assumed to be the prince's henchman.
The prince himself came out of the palace to greet the guest, and Princess Ievna was more than sure that the guest was very important, even more important than the prince perhaps.
Princess Ievna was curious, but luckily, she didn't have to wait long because someone had finally stepped out of the carriage.
He was a man, maybe fifty years old, and his hair was jet black. At first glance, the princess thought the man was similar to Prince Reigen.
"Someone who looks like the prince? Is he the prince's father? So, he's the king?" Princess Ievna started her monologue as her silver eyes continued to study the man in the navy blue dress.
The man had just arrived from a long journey, and Princess Ievna could understand that the man had chosen to wear simple clothes. However, from his aura alone, Princess Ievna could tell that the man was indeed a king.
Even without the gold-embroidered attire, Princess Ievna was sure that the middle-aged man was the king, possibly Prince Reigen's father as they looked alike.
After the king got off the carriage, two more people followed. They were a middle-aged woman and a young man. Princess Ievna frowned when she saw the only woman there had blonde hair. Her hair was striking in comparison to the black hair of Prince Reigen and the man he thought of as a king.
Long straight blonde hair was eye-catching, but she wasn't the only blonde there. Apart from that woman, Princess Ievna could see that the young man who had just gotten off the carriage was also blonde.
The princess started to make a possible scenario again, "That woman is probably the queen, but who is that young man with blonde hair?"
Princess Ievna was curious, but she knew that no one would answer her question because she didn't voice her question to anyone but herself.
All she could do was continue to observe people in silence. Unidentified people were chatting near the carriage, and Princess Ievna finally concluded that the blond young man might be Prince Reigen's brother.
The reason for her assumption was simply because the man's face closely resembled that of a blonde woman.
She continued observing the people, and she could see that Prince Reigen quite respected the man and the woman.
At that time, Princess Ievna was increasingly convinced that the middle-aged man and woman were indeed the prince's parents.
Now that the king and queen had suddenly arrived at Shovalon, Princess Ievna was anxious. Her mind wandered to the past when the Wemor witches suddenly appeared in Shovalon.
She was very young then, and she was playing in the palace gardens with her servants. One of the maids was talented enough to make a crown out of red roses, and that crown was the one she wore before she was cursed by the strongest witch, Sharass.
It was the red rose crown that inspired Sharass to curse her into a red rose, but she wasn't angry at the maid who made the crown for her. That maid was also burned to ashes by Sharass, so how could she make herself hate the unfortunate maid?
Shaking her head to clear the sad memory from her head, Princess Ievna turned her attention back to the strangers.
At first, it was only Prince Reigen, but now it seemed that the entire royal family of that kingdom was in Shovalon.
The pitiful Princess Ievna could only stare at them grimly. "The witches of Wemor are dead, but now there is another intruder in Shovalon. How can I live well if those people take over Shovalon?"
