The week following Sasori's fight Jacob there was announcement in all the dormitories across the campus. "Attention everyone, the senior staff have decided that the school is secure and that there are no more threats to the school. All students are to return to school as normal staring tomorrow morning."
There was joy throughout the school after the announcement, but there was some students who were upset, mainly those who enjoyed the classes that had been happening, as well as the students who had been skipping classes and messing around, as they would now have to return to school.
Everyone in the Year 1 dormitory were happy as they could finally experience normal school at the academy. Sasori was probably the happiest person in the school as he was allowed to attend all classes now and he only had to see Mrs Ferg and Professor Nara once a week for a check-up until the end of the school term.
The school catering staff prepared a feast for everyone that night so that they would have all the energy that they would need. Sasori sat at a table with Jay, Jacob, Marcus, Ezra and Nobuhle. There was also a young boy that sat next to Jay and a two girls who had been following Ezra since the first day as they couldn't handle her beauty.
Sasori knew that Ezra was a beautiful young woman, but he didn't expect people to follow her because of it. Ezra didn't mind them as she just ignored them for a majority of the time and then would say one word to the two girls and they would either pass out on the spot or run away and hide, as they would be so happy that Ezra had spoken to them. There names were Sarah and Elveena.
Sarah was born and raised in the Federacy and was brought up in a family that was well off compared to most. They weren't nobles but weren't far off. Elveena's origins were unknown, but the two girls had become friends right after meeting each other and were glued to each other ever since.
The two girls right on the edge of the bench and kept as much space as possible between Ezra and themselves as they didn't want to get too close as they thought they would pass. Ezra looked at the two of them as they struggled to stay of the bench, "You do know you can move closer if you want. There is no need to sit like that." The two girls hit the ground like a sack of potatoes. They couldn't stay conscious of Ezra had not only looked at them, but she spoke to them.
Ezra sighed, but a small sigh appeared on her face that only Sasori noticed. 'I love it when she smiles. She must do it more often.' He thought to himself as a smile grew on his face as he looked at Ezra. She turned him and the smile she quickly disappeared and was replaced with an expression of anger.
Ezra kept herself composed but still let enough facial expression escape so that Sasori understood she was upset. "What are you looking at?" Ezra said to him sharply but soft enough that only he and those at the table were able to hear her voice. The surroundings seemed to go quiet as Ezra looked down on Sasori, but the talking and laughter continued in the background, unheard by those at the table.
Sasori gulped down, "Nothing." He said while looking the other way embarrassed as he had been caught staring. Jay and Marcus started laughing but covered their mouths as they didn't want to have Ezra's anger turned onto themselves. Jacob tried his best to keep himself composed by coughing every now and then to keep it down.
Nobuhle had a small grin that appeared on her face as she held back her laughter. Sasori looked to Jay's side where the unknown boy was sitting, "Jay, who is your friend. I haven't seen him before." Sasori said quickly to change the subject and escape his impending doom. Ezra toned it down a bit but whenever Sasori glanced in her direction he was met with a death stare that he swore could kill a man.
Jay ran to his friend's rescue after getting rid of his laughing, "This here is Tom Ilace. He was in the swordsmanship class with me. He was my opponent during the lessons, and I wasn't able to beat him once, he is just too skilful compared to me." Sasori and the rest of the table looked at the short boy with surprise as they didn't expect someone so short to beat someone like Jay and Sasori had fought him as a kid, so he knew he wasn't bad which meant this kid was really good.
Sasori decided to break the silence and the awkwardness of everyone staring at the boy, "Nice to meet you Tom. I'm Sasori. I hope we can be friends." Sasori stretched his arm over the table and shook Tom's hand. Everyone then followed by introducing themselves. The bell rang for the end of dinner, and everyone realised that they had been talking more then eating so they quickly scoffed all their food down and left the dining hall.
They all went to their rooms after roll call by Mrs Ferg and changed for bed. Sasori went over all the notes that he had made in the Basics of magic classes so that he could answer any related questions. Once he had gone through them twice he put his book back on his desk and turned of the light and went to sleep.
In the morning everyone had a quick breakfast, which included eggs, bacon and toast or cereal and yoghurt. All the students got ready and took all their textbooks with them to class in a small bag provided by the school. Sasori walked with his group of friends to the classrooms. There was talking and laughing between the students as they made their way there.
Sasori noticed that all the senior years didn't carry a bag and would walk empty handed to class, 'I wonder how they do any work if they take nothing with them. Maybe they just leave their books in class.' Sasori left it as that as they had made it to the front of the building where there was three portals and one door.
Jay and Tom walked through the door after they waved goodbye to everyone. Nobuhle and the other girls went through their own portals and Sasori and the rest went through the last one. Everyone walked straight into the classroom except for Sasori who savoured the moment of returning to class.
Sasori walked back into his classroom as if he hadn't been there in years and went to sit at his desk. He felt nostalgic even though he had only been at the school for just over a week. Professor Nara walked in, "Welcome everyone. Please sit down and get ready for class."
