Chapter 53 - Back to School (Part 2)

All the students had along day, consisting of work, and catching up on things that they should have already learnt. Sasori and those who had attended the basics of magic lessons were better off then the others as Professor Nara skipped over them and went straight into practical uses and the theory of magic.

Most of the class was stressing and constantly writing notes down. All those who had previously worked with tutors or had parents of a subpar standard were perfectly fine as nothing was too difficult for them. All the noble household children either slept through the lesson or mocked the other students as they were struggling to comprehend what the professor was saying, majority of the time.

Professor Nara didn't appreciate students with an attitude like that, so ever so often he would make a gust of wind knock a student or two over and cause a scene. The students were none the wiser about this but the affected knew someone had done something but couldn't understand who it was. One of the boys at the back stood up right after falling over and walked straight to Sasori's seat.

"Who the hell do you think you are? Do you think you can get away with your little prank, you commoner!" At those words, the class went silent and only the conversation, if you could call it that, between the two boys could be heard. Before Sasori could reply the boy got in his face, "Do you know who I am?" Sasori shock his head which made the boy's blood boil and his face turn bright red.

"I am Frederic Bowman. Son of the legendary adventurer Arthur Bowman, who discovered many things that have helped the magical community thrive." Frederic was so close to Sasori's face that he could see the back of the boy's mouth and his saliva ended up on Sasori's face. Sasori wiped it away when he could, but it kept ended back on his face. Professor Nara wanted to interfere, but he wanted to see how it would play out.

Fredric kept ranting on about how he was a noble and that Sasori shouldn't even be allowed in the same class as him. Jacob wanted to get up and say something, but he decided to not make it worse. He understood the life of a commoner and how much you would have to struggle to survive. He wanted to teach the boy a lesson but could feel tension sizzling through the air.

There was a huge amount of rage and killing intent building up and Jacob felt like he was glued to his seat and unable to move under the pressure. Sasori didn't react to the boy's provocations and just sat in his seat never taking his eyes off the boy's eyes. Sasori was calm, but then the boy mentioned his mother and how she probably slept with the teachers to get him in the school.

Professor Nara was about to take a step forward to prevent the inevitable, but Sasori stayed seated. Professor Nara couldn't even feel his rage anymore. All of Sasori's rage filled him up and went straight into his eyes which were still fixated on Frederic's eyes. He didn't move or flinch, he just sat quietly in his seat.

In the Year 1 dormitory, Mrs Ferg sat watching this all unfold, but then she noticed something and called the other Celestials that were interested in him. They watched as Sasori's rage fed the red strand on his life force and that it was converted into a power that flooded his eyes. What Professor Nara and most of the students couldn't see was how Sasori's eyes changed from their normal colour to bright red with a yellow circle within them.

Mrs Ferg lay back in her seat as she watched his transformation. There was a cry for victory in the back from Phaenna the Griffon. She was so happy as the ring in the centre was a signature mark that Griffons were identified with. "Calm down Phaenna, you are missing the most important thing right now."

Mrs Ferg pointed at the redness that filled his eyes. "He is not only yours he belongs to the guy behind you too." Phaenna turned around and looked at the Dragon representative, Shyrl, the Father of all Dragons. He sat there with his mouth agape and watched the boy reveal his eyes. He didn't even realise that Phaenna had taken claim to him.

Phaenna snapped her fingers in front of his face and the dragon regained his focus. "I don't know how this is possible, but that boy has both of our traits. I don't remember having a child recently especially with you." The pieces had finally come together for the dragon, and he screamed in surprise while jumping back.

"I don't remember anything like that happening in the last hundred years. How is this possible and besides, ever time two Celestials came together, we were never able to make a species with both of our powers. The new-born would always lean to one way, or we would create a lower lifeform, like lesser dragons and lesser griffins.

Phaenna jumped up from her seat and pointed her finger straight at Shyrl, "Don't you dare call them that. You know it's taboo and we can't be seen calling our offspring lower beings without being abandoned by them and having to destroy their species as they would always end up turning against us and wanting our secrets before they 'killed' us."

Everyone understood what she was talking about and decided to stay quiet. Shyrl didn't apologise as he didn't have to as long as there weren't other people listening in on their conversation. Mrs Ferg clapped her hands together to get everyone's attention, "Please pay attention to the reason I called you hear." They all returned their attention to hologram of Sasori oozing power.

Professor Nara could feel the pressure building up, but he didn't know that it was Sasori that was causing such a thing. He tried to step forward, but the pressure weighed him down and he struggled to walk ahead without using magic. The other students felt a tension in the air, but they were all sitting, so they didn't understand why the professor was walking so slowly.

Frederic, who was still yelling at Sasori, realised that he was out of breath and that he couldn't get any air into his lungs. He struggled to breath as Professor Nara made his way to Sasoir, "Sasori, stop you are going to kill him if you continue. Is that what you really want?" Sasori turned around to face the professor and that's when the professor saw his eyes.

He applied as many strengthening and speed spells to himself as he could n such a short amount of time and leapt in front of Sasori and covering his eyes why he hugged, "Don't worry. It's not your fault. Be calm. Breath in and out slowly and return to your senses." Sasori snapped out of his daze and realised something was taking over his body, so he fought back against it and calmed himself down.

Once the professor couldn't feel the pressure he released Sasori and saw tears running down the side of his face. "What happened?" Sasori said innocently to the professor while the tears continued to flow down the side of his face. The professor gave him another hug and then checked to see that Frederic was still breathing before taking them both to the Infirmary.
