Chapter 54 - Back to School (Part 3)

At the infirmary, Professor Nara thoroughly checked Sasori once again and once again he found nothing wrong with him. He even went as far as going down to the cells that made up his eyeballs. When he did he found nothing wrong on the outer layers, but as soon as he tried to go further down his head began to throb and the pain was too intense to withstand.

This was caused by the nerves and veins that connected to the eyeball as they had huge amounts of information flowing through them and the professor had all that information, which is normally filtered through by the brain, flow into his mind along with the structural information.

The Head doctor helped him up and took him out the room to get some water and an unoccupied room that could be left with the lights switched off, so that the professor could recover. The Head doctor did his own checks on Sasori, which weren't even close to the things the professor had done, he concluded, with the professor's opinion, that Sasori was fit to return to class, so he sent him on his way.

Sasori couldn't remember anything that had happened in the classroom when his eyes had changed and was surprised when he woke up in the infirmary again. Sasori had a glass of water before leaving with Professor Nara and returning to the classroom. The other boy, Frederic wasn't as lucky. He had asphyxiation, which is when someone is deprived of oxygen.

He was very lucky though as he only fell unconscious when other cases had ended with the lose of the patient. The Head doctor and Professor Nara unanimously decided that they should let the boy rest for as long as he needed to and to not give him anything as it could lead to other reactions.

Professor Nara and Sasori returned to the classroom together and were welcomed back by Professor Levesque, who had taken over the class while the two of them had been gone. "Hello young lad. I hear you had a little incident here and I do apologise if it inconvenienced you." Someone tried to stand and object the professor's words but all it took was a glance from the professor to make that person sit right back down.

The student wanted to argue that Sasori had almost killed Frederic and that Professor Nara had just stood there and done nothing about. However, all of the students from noble families knew how powerful the professor was and how wide his influence could stretch. None of them dared to go against them as it would mean the downfall of their household.

The only person who wasn't concerned was Ezra as her family was one of the ten top households, which were called The Decemvir. The were the households with the most influence in the Federacy. Professor Levesque was probably the only individual that could rival the one of the ten households, in terms of influence.

He had this influence thanks too his job as a teacher as all his students were in powerful positions, some within The Decemvir, and thanks to his research as a mage, as it had helped thousands of young mages get up to the standard level of a mage in the modern age. He had given away trade secrets to help these people, which was a huge risk, but a risk that paid off big time.

Everyone in and out of the magical community had heard of him at least once and had understood that he was not a man to be meddled with. He had finished off households of mages before and was known as the Magus of Destruction, because everything he went against was never left behind, except in a pile of ashes or bones.

The professor looked back at Sasori and Professor Nara, "Well then, since you are back, I think I shall take my leave. Thank you everyone for having me and glad we could have a good chat." The professor glanced at a few of the children in the room, leaving them terrified. "Professor Nara could I have a word outside." Sasori walked back to his desk, while watching the two professors leave the room.

"I must say Professor Nara, I have never seen one student cause so much carnage in their first week. First he almost kills a student in a sparing match and then disappears for a few hours. Now today he almost suffocates another student in his class and some how you couldn't do anything about it. Do you care to explain what is going on?"

The professor sighed, 'What the hell am I supposed to say. I know the reason why his fight was such a disaster, but I can't just tell the Professor that he is some being that has incredible potential, because then he will ask questions, as to how I know, where he disappeared to and many others that he can come up with. What do I do?'

The answer flowed into the professor's mind, and he sighed, "I honestly don't know what happened with that fight, but I have checked up on him and he is completely normal and today I didn't do anything as that snobby brat started verbally abusing Sasori by calling him a commoner and such. I didn't stop that, and Sasori never retaliated, so I believed everything was fine until Frederic started struggling to breath."

"I gave them the space that they needed to sort out their differences but I did not believe it would go further then a little tussle but that didn't even happen." The professor had tried his best to make sure his story would work with whatever the students had told Professor Levesque.

Professor Levesque sighed, "I'll leave it at that then. This is going to be a long meeting with his parents, but I should be fine as they will know their place or will learn it the hard way." Professor Levesque was about to walk away when he stopped and turned around, "Oh and Professor Nara, don't let your emotions cloud your judgement, I know your past, but it can't affect the safety of a student. Good day now."

'So, he does know my past. He was just trying to lead me on to reveal something but me being calm and collected with my answer kept him from pushing harder.' The professor walked back into the classroom and all the conversations died down.

"Alright class, where were we. Ah, yes. Can everyone take out your Magical Beasts and Legends textbook and turn to page 23. We will be talking about all the magical beasts that live in our forest at the back of the school and what they are capable of. I know you have seen some of them in action, but it is always best to know why they do and don't do certain things."

"Today, everyone. Stop staring at me and get your textbooks out. Frank sit up straight and get your textbook out or you can came and teach the class while standing." There was a mad rush after the professor warned the boy and everyone got their textbooks out as quickly as possible.
