Sasori stood at the edge of the circle with his head down and his body in a position to fight. Everyone surrounding the circle had their mouths agape and were speechless. They didn't know whether to cheer for Sasori's miraculous escape or jeer in envy. The person who was shocked the most was Sasori's opponent, Jacob.
He still couldn't believe that Sasori had escaped what he thought was a concrete plan, which would finish off any unexperienced opponent. 'How is this even possible. He said he had no experience but was somehow able to escape. Not even the other students under my master could do anything against him. I know I was holding back but what he did needed experience. He seemed to know what I was going to do before I did it.'
Jacob turned around to look at his unknown opponent while still pondering how he had escaped. As soon as he saw Sasori in his stance he almost fell over. 'How is this possible! This is the stance my master taught to only me. There was no other student worthy enough to learn it and even if Sasori did learn from my master, I would have seen him. Something isn't right here, there is something off.'
Jacob looked over at Sasori, "How do you know that stance? Only a select few were chosen by my master and I'm the only one in the last 10 years to be chosen. Tell me now Sasori, where did you learn it?" Sasori didn't move out of position, he just kept his stance with his head low. "Fine then. I'll have to show you how it is done then." Jacob crouched down into a similar stance to Sasori.
'It seems to be a bout between two students of the same master, however Jacob doesn't recognise him as a fellow pupil, but as an enemy that threatens his master's legacy and by extension his own. This will be interesting to see how it plays out, but I need to stop it before it escalates.' Professor O'Brien was about to walk between the two opponents when he felt a huge pressure on him that made him incapable of moving.
'You will do no such thing, young human.' Professor O'Brien tried to look around to find who was talking to him. 'Stop looking around human, I am talking to you in your mind no one else can hear our conversation.' Professor O'Brien tried to move his body, but it didn't respond to his commands. 'There is no point human, you can do nothing but watch this fight. If I believe it is getting out of hand, I will release you but until then you will stay put whether you like it or not.'
Professor O'Brien couldn't move as the boys were about to continue their fight. Nobuhle now stood at the front of the crowd of students as she wanted to study her fellow pupils. Sasori shifted his right foot slightly back and then launched himself forward at Jacob. This time however he went lower then his first charge. He launched himself with such force that his tendons ripped under the skin. He didn't seem to care about the damage or the pain raging through his body.
Jacob stood his ground to observe his opponent as what he thought he knew about Sasori seemed to be all a lie. 'If he really knows my master's techniques, I could be in trouble but taking into account my age, size and years of training and experience I should still have the edge.' Jacob ready himself for Sasori's attack, but he didn't attack. Instead, Sasori jumped to the right changing his angle on Jacob.
Jacob didn't lose sight of Sasori, but what he didn't expect was for Sasori to jump back to the left and continue on his original path. 'Master never did anything like that, his style of fighting is different or maybe Master taught him more. Jacob began to doubt himself but had to let go of that to take on the incoming attack.
Sasori jumped into the air and dived at Jacob's head with his right foot. What Jacob hadn't seen but some of the audience did was what seemed to be Sasori pushing off the air and changing his direction and his velocity had increased instead of decreasing. Sasori was now traveling at such a speed that most of the students couldn't see him. Luckily for Jacob he caught a glimpse of Sasori and moved his head to the left slightly to avoid the collision.
However, the rest of his body wasn't so lucky. Sasori's body continued it's charge forward connecting with Jacob's right shoulder. On the connection with the collarbone, Sasori could feel some resistance against his foot. It was trying to push his body away and reduce the damage to Jacob's body, but Sasori didn't give up he continued forward, but the resistance increased.
What seemed to be runes appeared around Sasori's body but only one person could see them. Sasori increased his own power with these runes, but they did more damage then help. His bones started to crack, and muscles began to tear as they could not withstand the power within Sasori's body. 'He is one tough bastard, I'll give him that.' The voice in Professor O'Brien's head said as it released the force holding him down.
Professor O'Brien rushed forward to get between the boys, but a sphere of yellow light surrounded Sasori and separated him from Jacob who collapsed on the spot. Professor O'Brien ignored the Yellow ball of light and ran to Jacob's side. He quickly used 'Hans' to check on Jacob's injuries so he could alert the medical staff on campus of the situation, but to his surprise there were no broken bones only slightly bruised muscle around his shoulder and collarbone.
Jacob was so fatigued from the fight even though he hadn't gone all out. 'Do not worry young human, the child is fine. I healed him myself, so he won't be needing any treatments. The other one is being healed now but he will need some days of rest. I will take him myself. Go speak to the one called Ferg, they will explain everything to you.' A portal opened and the ball of light with Sasori inside floated through the door.
Professor O'Brien tried to chase after him, but the portal closed before he could reach it. He quickly called Professor Nara, the Headmaster and anyone else that would answer him. A team of medical staff arrived to ensure Jacob was safe and all the students present were sent back to their dorms. Professor O'Brien approached Mrs Ferg to ask all the questions that were filling his mind, but she ignored him and called Professor Nara to have a chat.
