Once everyone was gathered outside an elderly man walked onto the stage with his back slouched forward and glasses hanging on his long nose. His hair was minimal on the side with nothing on top. He walked to the centre of the stage and stood in front of the crowd and then spoke, "Afternoon everyone. I am Professor Levesque. I will be in charge of those who make it into the school for the rest of your schooling career, it is a pleasure to meet you all. Today you will be going through a process that was created to determine your magic affinity."
There were some whispers from the crowd but then it calmed down as the Professor continued, "I will now explain the process to you, so that you understand." The Professor then explained to everyone. To what Sasori could understand it was made out to be a simple process, but he thought there had to be more to it. The professor had explained that you stand on a magical circle and that would anticipate your affinity.
Sasori thought that it would have to be more complex but before he could think further the professor then decided to further explain as most people seemed unconvinced, "It seems a few of you don't fully believe what I am saying." The professor smiled and chuckled to himself a little, cleared his throat and then he continued on, "Okay, I will give you a more in depth explanation. What happens is that the magical circle pulls out your innate magical potential.
It doesn't go off what you are currently able to do. Some of you here are probably able to use some advanced magic thanks to your parents teaching you but that does not mean you will get accepted because that may be all you can do in your entire life. What we want at this school are those you have an extreme potential within yourself so that the best students attend this school and are then able to further improve our magical understanding and how it came to be." "Now if all of you could please get into 26 different lines. We will do this alphabetically so that no one gets confused and to make sure no one is left out." Everyone quickly shuffled to their own line and stood patiently. There was a lot of pushing and shoving as people wanted to get to the front. Sasori ended up at the back of his line.
After everyone was in the correct place a blue portal appeared before each letter. Some people at the front were startled as a person walked out of them. "Attention everyone. You will now follow the professor infront of line through a dimensional portal to another room for testing. We are doing this to make things go faster. Once you have finished you will walk back through the portal and wait here for results. Only one student at a time as we don't want results to be known by everyone. Also do not under any circumstances walk through another portal except the one infront of your line for your own safety." The crowd were a bit worried at those final words so everyone calmed down and went through there own portals.
Ezra was the first of the trio to go through. She was welcomed by a old woman with long curly black hair that had strands of grey from age and bright blues eyes. "Could you please stand on the circle and don't move until I tell you too." Ezra did as instructed and then the circle light up. It moved up from the ground, through Ezra body and then touched the ceiling and then came down to the floor. The circle light up blue and then the woman said, "Okay you can move now." Ezra stepped back and went back through the portal.
Jay was next in his line so he stepped forward through the portal. There was a young man with ginger hair, a small moustache and brown eyes. Jay was told the same as Ezra. He stepped into the circle, it lit up, went up and down and then it lit up green. He stepped back and left through the portal.
It was now Sasori's turn. He went through and a young woman with golden blonde hair and beautiful smile was waiting for him. She looked at him and went pale for a second before regaining her composure. Sasori was showing an aura that she had never seen before and it was extremely big "Please stand in the middle of the circle." Sasori nodded and stepped forward. The same process happened and then his circle lit up red. The woman look confused and then said, "Okay you can leave." As Sasori left Professor Levesque enter the room and smiled at Sasori.
The Professor then spoke to the woman. He then called the Headmaster, "Afternoon sir, sorry to bother you put a child who was getting tested, has made the circle light up red." There was silence and then a response, "Send me all the results and I'll make the list of students." The Professor was confused as the headmaster never made the list but still sent it through.
There were some murmurs among the crowd at this fact. "Sorry Ladies and Gentlemen but if you thought you could get in just because you had strong powers now." Sasori looked at Jay because his parents had already made him begin his magic training to try and insure that he would get into the school.
Sasori, Jay, and Ezra stood before the mass of people waiting in anticipation for results. The process was simple, one by one, every child would step on a drawn magical circle, that was created by the headmaster of the school, and then it would assess their potential and affinity for magic. It took 10 minutes to complete the process. After every child was done the were sent outside to wait in front of a board placed on the stage. Only 100 of the 1000 children would be accepted into the school. So, there was a 1 in 10 chance that a child could get in.
After the last child had gone Professor Levesque walked to the centre of the stage with a piece of paper in his left hand and a piece of chalk in his right hand. He approached the board and the unravelled the paper. He then proceeded to write down the names of the students who had made it into the school. As he did so there was an excruciatingly painful creaking sound as he moved the chalk along the board.
After 20 minutes of this ear destroying noise, he had completed writing the names. Everyone then rushed forward to see if they had made it into the school or not. As the old man walked away he said to the children, "The way the list is composed goes as such; The person with the highest potential and affinity is at the top after that second highest and it continues like that until the bottom. There are 4 classes with 25 students each. A is the best and D is the worst. I hope to see those who made it soon."
Ezra looked from a far, found her name as the 10th highest in A class and didn't pay attention to any of the others. Jay found his name quickly too, it was the 7th lowest in D class. He was a bit disappointed but was happy to be accepted. Jay started talking to Ezra about making it into the school, to which she ignored him. Sasori did not think he would be high up on the list, so he started looking at D class where Jay is.
He started from the weakest and worked his way up, but he could not find his name in D class. He then looked at C class, then B class but still his name was nowhere to be found. He had a slight glimpse of hope at the fact that he may be in A class but then felt uneasy at the high possibility of not being included at all since he did come from a low-class family after all.
He decided to stay positive and started looking for his name. He saw Ezra's name and became happy for her. There where only 6 names left, he was not 20th or 21st, he was not 22nd or 23rd, and he was not even 24th or 25th. He could not find his name.
He hung his head low, ashamed of himself and then an ecstatic Jay ran up to him shouting, "Sasori! Sasori! Look where you are!" Sasori was confused but followed his friend's finger. He was pointing above Ezra's name. He was pointing at 3rd highest in A class, Sasori fell to his knees in shock with a tear rolling down his cheek as he smiled.
