Chapter 8 - First Day (Part 2)

The Headmaster noticed the commotion caused by Jay and Sasori and walked over. "Are you okay young boy?" Another image flashed in Sasori's mind of a man with a sadistic face laughing. "He said that his head was hurting, I think it might just be a headache." said Jay. "I think I'll be fine, sorry to make you concerned." said an afraid Sasori.

He was sweating as fear ate away at him, but he had no idea why he was afraid. "Alright, if he needs to go to the nurse's office, please take him." said the Headmaster. "I'll be fine, honestly." The Headmaster nodded and turned his back to them while walking away. 'Found you' he thought.

"Morning students, I will be your Headmaster for the next couple of years. I hope to help you develop into wonderful mages, swordsmen, and swordswomen. As Professor Levesque stated, I travelled around the world to uncover the mysteries of magic and how it came into existence. Don't worry there are plenty I didn't solve so you figure them out yourselves." The Headmaster chuckled and was joined by some from the audience.

"What you probably haven't been told by your parents and professors is the reason we come to this school and train so hard. The world is not safe at the moment. When magic came into existence so did many other things. Monsters from fairy tales came to life as well as mystical creatures that were not present in the era before magic. Fear not some of these creatures are friendly towards humans but some do pose a threat to humanity.

The main purpose of our academy is to get rid of those that threaten us. Now we aren't just going to send you out to attack powerful beings, you can do that after school, but to train you so that you can eventually fight these monsters. Now I don't want to frighten you and take away lessons your professors will teach you, but I must warn you that this school is not some place you can be relaxed at because if you fall behind you could endanger your fellow classmates and be expelled for doing so. I hope you all become strong individuals at the end of your six years, thank you."

All the students started to clap as the Headmaster left, but a lot of them started to think about the danger they could possibly be in and began to worry. Professor Levesque walked back to the centre of the stage and spoke, "Worry not students as the Headmaster said we will not put you in harms way if we do not think you are up to the challenge. Now if I could have our Professors come on stage so that I can introduce each class to their professor." Four individuals walked onto the stage. "First D class this is Professor Benoit, he will be in charge of you for the next 3 years until you move into your 4th year." Professor Benoit was an elderly man that had a long grey beard and little hair on his head. He had brown eyes that could barely be seen as they were almost closed. He was quite strong physically as he wasn't leaning over from old age but straight up like and army soldier.

"Next C class, this is Professor O'Brien. He will be in charge of your class." Professor O'Brien was the young man who had assessed Jay. He had ginger hair, a small moustache, and brown eyes. "B class your Professor is Professor Randall. She is from oversees but an excellent mage." She was the woman from Sasori's testing. She was young woman with golden blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She saw Sasori and then looked away after remembering what she saw during the testing. "And lastly is Professor Nara for A class." Professor Nara was a unique individual with curly black hair that seemed to be all out of place. He had light blue eyes that resembled the ocean. He seemed to be annoyed at the fact that he was there which was the truth. All he wanted to be doing at that moment in time was return to his research projects. 'When is this thing going to end' he thought to himself.

"Alright then students if you could please follow your teachers they will take you to your classrooms and show you around. After a tour of your classrooms, you will then head to the dormitories and get your rooms. Do not worry boys and girls are separated and each room has only one key and is magically protected to ensure that no one steals your belongings. After you are set up you can return to the courtyard behind the main reception to socialise and get to know each other. Also bullying and exclusion is strictly prohibited. If we see anyone left out or being bullied there will be extreme consequences and expulsion. I expect everyone to get along. We can see everything so do not think you can get away with it. All right you are all dismissed" Professor Levesque walked away and then the students all got into their respective classes.

Sasori looked at Jay and said, "Okay I'll see you later. Once you are done with your tour we can meet in the courtyard. Is that okay with you Ezra." Ezra was already walking towards their teacher while Sasori was talking. "She never changes does she. Okay we'll meet in the courtyard then" Sasori nodded to Jay and then ran after Ezra towards their class. As he ran after Ezra, Marcus joined him, "Are you in A class too?" Marcus asked. "Yes I am." Sasori replied while smiling.

The two of them joined their class and Sasori found Ezra standing at the back of the line everyone was standing in. "Hey Ezra, we are going to meet Jay after our tour in the courtyard." "Fine" Ezra replied in an annoyed tone. She wanted to start her magical career and didn't want any distractions as she had a lot of pressure on her from her parents. Once everyone had lined up Professor Nara spoke to them in a disgruntled tone, "Okay we are going to walk to the classroom as fast as we can so I can get this over with." Everyone replied, "Yes Sir" And then they walked towards the Year 1 building.

Infront of the building was a door and three-dimensional portals, each with a letter above. "Okay as you can see there are three different portals here, A, B and C. You are only allowed to go through Portal A. If you go through a different one you will be in danger. I will explain this when we discuss dimensional magic, until then you must never go through a dimensional portal unless I tell you to. Do you understand?" "Yes Sir." Said all the students. 'I wonder what the reason for the strict rules are?' thought Sasori and the majority of the students present. Only one student was able to comprehend the reasoning, it was the first in the class who had an affinity for dimensional magic, Marcus Mandrake.
