Sasori followed his green and red wisp down the corridor as the next person was called forward. As he walked down the corridor, suddenly everyone's voices disappeared. This was caused by an invisible magical barrier that blocked the air current to prevent sound from entering the corridor and leaving it. Sasori was surprised by this, but his wisp kept traveling so he carried on following it.
'I wonder how they did that. There is so much that I don't know about magic, and I can't wait to see what else I will learn here.' He thought to himself as his wisp went up the stairs to the second floor. The rooms weren't spilt into male and female wings because every room was secure, however every floor had a different class on it. A class was on the top floor while D was on the second floor. The first floor had the dining rooms and social areas where students could relax if they weren't in their rooms.
The layout was made in such a way that each set of stairs only connected two floors together and then the next set of stairs would be on the opposite side of the building. The reason for this was to keep unwanted guests from getting to the higher floors quickly. If an intruder entered the dormitory they could get caught before getting to the roof. The whole building was under the dorm master's control so the stairs could turn into walls to block the intruder's path and catch them.
Sasori walked all the way around the building to get to the other side and then found the stairs. After learning the basics of magic, students would be able to fly towards the other side of the building which would make their journey shorter but for now everyone had to walk. Once he got to the top his wisp turned right. He followed it and finally got his room; he had sweat on his neck and back because of the distance of the walk and how hot it was.
As he got to the room his wisp turned into a key that fitted perfectly into the keyhole. Sasori grabbed it and turned, and the door unlocked. The key then pulled itself out the keyhole and flew straight at Sasori's head. It connected with his forehead and then disappeared. Sasori got such a fright from this that he fell over and landed on his butt. As he landed the door next to him opened and Marcus walked out. He saw Sasori and then let a little chuckle out.
"Your key just flew at your right." Sasori nodded. "Did the same too me and gave me such a fright that I almost did the same thing. It felt heavy when in the keyhole, but I barely felt anything after the impact. Look at your right wrist." Sasori turned his wrist to face him and there was a key shaped tattoo on his wrist right beneath his palm.
"Do you know what this is and how do I get rid of it?" Sasori asked in shock at the revelation. 'Mom is going to kill me if this is permanent.' He thought to himself. "No, I don't know what it is or how to get rid of, but I think it is supposed to be there because both of ours are in the same place. My guess is that it lets us into our rooms." As Marcus shut his door behind himself the mark suddenly disappeared.
"What the hell. I thought it was supposed to stay there. I better ask Mrs Ferg about it just to be safe. Anyway, I'll see you downstairs once you are done with your room." Marcus waved as he walked towards the stairs. 'What the hell is this thing and why did his suddenly disappear. I have so many questions, but I should unpack my stuff before going back downstairs.' He pondered his thoughts before walking in his room and shutting the door.
The room was a 10m square room with a bed against the right corner and a window in the middle of the room. On the left side of the room there was a double door cupboard with shelves on one side and hanging space on the other side. At the top of the cupboard there was a shelf across the top that covered the full width of the cupboard to store and bags that your luggage came in. Next too the cupboard there was a desk and chair with drawers under the desk and shelves above the desk for books. There was a magical light on the under side of the shelves above the shelves. The light could be turned on by pulsing some mana into the light. On Sasori's bed was his two bags that he had brought with himself.
He grabbed the first one which was a big brown duffel bag that had all his clothes inside. He grabbed his uniform out first and hung it up so that there would be no creases on his clothes. The school uniform consisted of a white shirt and long or short black pants for boys and a dress for girls. There was also a black and red tie and a mage cloak that would protect the students from any threats they came across inside the school premises.
He took out his casual clothes and his sleepwear. He placed them on separate shelves and then placed his shoes on the bottom shelf. He placed his socks above his clothes and placed his precious items from his mom, which consisted of a pen she gave him that she used at school. She gave it to him as a good luck charm. He took out his one and only toy which was a teddy bear that his mom bought and gave to Sasori as a protective charm. He also placed a photo of himself and his mom on the shelf.
He then placed the now empty bag at the top of his cupboard and grabbed his second bag. He placed it on his desk and took out his books and ink that his mom and him bought during there shopping spree. He placed the ink in the drawers and his books on his desk. Once he was down, he placed the bag on the top shelf in his cupboard and closed the cupboard. He made sure all his stuff was neat and then opened the door to his room and then closed it and headed downstairs.
