Chapter 3 - History (Part 3)

He hunted down the leader of this organisation for nearly 5 years before getting a lead on where he was hiding. The detective was a very intelligent man, so he took his time to evaluate the information that had been provided to him to ensure it wasn't a trap.

He went to the location that he was given and watched it for 2 weeks. He noticed that all the top officials from the organisation including the all powerful second in command were there.

The detective smiled at what he had seen because this would mean his lead was true and the leader was likely in the building. It was a three story building in the middle of the countryside, low cut grass, barely any trees around the building, it was right in the open perfect for the lookouts to spot an enemy.

This meant that there was barely any cover for the detective to use. He could either wait for nightfall or go straight at them. He decided to wait for nightfall before fighting the hardest battle in his life.

As he was about to turn around he heard a voice behind, "What do you think you're doing." He leapt back to see the face of the second in command, Zabuza. He looked at Zabuza who's eyes were dark and filled with menace and bloodlust, there was a malicious grin across his face that made him look like the killer he was said to be. He had a scar on the right side of his face, from his eye to the bottom of his right nostril, which made him easy to identify.

He went for his swords as quick as he could, but as his hand touched the grip he felt an impact right in the middle of his chest that sent him flying. In the split second that the detective went for his blade Zabuza stepped back and kicked his opponent in the stomach hard enough, that if it had been the detective's head he would have lost it. As the detective flew back, blood came up his throat and out his mouth. He flew back and rolled six times before coming to a painful stop.

The detective was uneasy and struggling to stand. His vison was unclear, and he couldn't focus on the opponent before him. He got onto one knee, he spat the blood in his mouth out when Zabuza connected a gruelling knee under his chin.

He lifted off the ground and landed hard on his back. Zabuza started laughing and asked, "Is that all you got. You were supposed to be the strongest in the world, but two hits is making you stand like a baby." The detective was still trying to regain his bearings when Zabuza came next to him. To the detective it looked like Zabuza had and aura around his body.

He couldn't tell whether or not it was real or if he was so concussed that he was seeing colours. The detective was barely able to speak when he said, "s…s…so this i…is the…power of Zabuza?" Zabuza laughed and said, "You don't know enough about power to ask that question."

As Zabuza was speaking, the detective reached for his sword and swung it with all the force he could. As it was about to cut Zabuza's leg he stopped it with his index finger and said, "Not enough power kid, you can't use this sword to it's full potential." He grabbed Rondure from the detective and lifted it while laughing.

The detective was screaming at the top of his lungs, but it was barely heard by Zabuza, "Give it back!." Zabuza continued laughing and then swung the blade at the detective's head when the detective pulled his second blade to parry the attack. The blade barely missed the detective's shoulder. Zabuza looked surprised and then jumped back. "That's a dangerous sword. Where did you get something like that?"

The detective didn't know why his opponent jumped back but he was happy that he was able to breath and regather himself. He got to his feet and then went to attack his opponent. His swung his blades always connecting with his opponents blade even though it looked to him like he should be hitting the target.

As they continued Zabuza was laughing and saying, "You're not ready for to use that sword or fight me. You don't know enough about this world or power to be a worthy opponent for our boss." The detective stood back and then took a stance with his blade in his right hand and left arm in front of him.

Zabuza smile became wider and then it disappeared entirely, and his face got serious. He realised that the detective was about to use a dangerous technique.

The detective shifted his left foot forward then vanished. Zabuza looked around and then parried his opponents attack from behind. He then started laughing and said "That was surprising to think you could disappear from my vision, that's an impressive technique. What's that called?"

The detective was shocked at how his opponent had blocked his attack with such ease. No one had ever blocked that attack before, "I'm surprised that you blocked my hidden technique, One Sword Style: Dragon Slash."

Zabuza smiled while saying, "That's one interesting technique you have there. If I wasn't aware of where you were I would have lost my head. Now it is my turn to show you something interesting. Try not to die." Zabuza started laughing and then was beside the detective.

The detective barely caught a glimpse of Zabuza before he felt the blade take his arm. The detective screamed in pain while Zabuza stood over him laughing sadistically. As the detective rolled around in agony, losing blood a man approached them.

The detective couldn't see his face but could see that Zabuza was shocked to see him. He dropped to one knee, bowing his head. He then said, "Boss, I found him snooping around so I decided to take care of him."

The leader said something, but the detective couldn't hear him. Zabuza then said, "I'm sorry boss I didn't know. Should I finish him off?" The leader nodded and then walked away. The detective was unable to see the mysterious man's face.

Zabuza then came across and said, "It's a shame you could have been useful to our side, you have so much potential, so I'll make it quick." Zabuza then reached down and picked up Rondure. He took it and cut the detective's head off as he whispered, "st.. sto..stop." The detective's head rolled on the ground and stopped. Zabuza then picked up his head by the hair and then walked away with it while laughing.

The Samurai Detective's head was then displayed to the world as a warning to those against the organisation stating that if you go against us the same will happen. Everyone then surrendered to the organisation realising their inferiority. The detective's blades were then taken and sealed away because they were impossible to be destroyed.

And then…
