Chapter 1 - Prologue - Seperation

In a vast yet wondrous range of towering snow-covered mountains, surrounded by fantastical floating islands, sat a handsome middle-aged man emanating an aura of majesty and grandeur. With his flowing deep-black hair, an angular jawline, an imperious nose and sharp eyebrows it seemed that nobody could possibly posess the will to defy him; however, contrary to his usual icy and arragont stare, looking down on even the heavens themselves, his smile currently held a trace of warmth which could possible suprise the entire world if released.

The only time this man released such a smile was in the presence of the young man sitting opposite him. This young man was almost a carbon copy of himself except for the childlike features and the innocence currently manifesting on his cheerful, excitable expression as he was seemingly unable to sit still seeing the wondrous beauty of their surroundings.

Seperating the two was a small wooden box covered in intricately detailed dragons carved on to its surfaces. Currently the box was exuding a faint black glow containing small sparks of scarlet seeping in to the small boys meridians gradually connecting with his body and spirit alike.

The boy looked at his hands before raising his head in a confused and questioning manner "Father, it feels strange" he said hesitantly, he had never experienced anything even remotely resembling hardship due to the intense pampering throughout his 7 years of life.

His father looked into the sky dejectedly, staring at the violet coloured sunset. "Grey" he sighed in lament as he truly despised himself for his lack of ability to change the situation. "Now that they have obtained our clans large amount of resources plus the support of the world, their leader will soon break through to that realm." He said while somehow maintaining his majestic and proud demeanor.

"At that point I'll only be able to protect myself, not the both of us"

Grey still sat ignorant to his fathers decleration, perhaps due to the abhorrent feeling of the small box fusing into his body or perhaps he was simply too young to understand the gravity of the situation. Yet his father continued with a smile ignoring Grey's uncomfortable state.

"This box is a treasure created by our clans artificers, in the past, which can only be activated by our clans unique blood signature; we called it the 'Thrarios demonic legacy' Containing the legacy our clan members need to survive." At this point his voice seemed to perforate directly in Grey's spirit making it impossible to ignore like before producing a look of awe and reveration towards towards his father.

"Several eons ago our clan began to send our royalty alone to backwater continents as children to train themselves and to conquer and spread our influence, together with a legacy gifted by the elders."

Here Grey finally seemed to understand something as the small box retracted itself into his body with a scarlet flash of light. Showing a nervous and frightful expression whilst his childish innocence made him terrified of the thought of being left alone. He balled his hands into fists as he stared down towards the ground but was unable to speak under the pressure of his father.

He constantly asked himself questions such as 'Where will I go? What will I do? How can father do such a thing to me?'

Yet his father seemed to have a lack of concern towards Grey's fright "Hoho, you actually fused with the legacy already? impressive! As expected of my son." he said while laughing heartily.

"Anyway, due to the objection of a certain important figure this was discontinued several million years ago." He stopped his exuberance falling once more in to his dejected expression.

'Grey... Ahhh. I never wanted to fall back to this. If we hadn't declined to this state i I never would have put you through this.' He though to himself as he maintained his facade of neglect.

He abrubtly looked up into the sky with a slight frown in dissatisfaction "Grey, looks like we're going to have to cut this short" He Flicked the sleeve of his robe revealling a 2 metre long spear, covered in the same Black glow with red sparks of lightning as the box which had now completely disappeared into Grey's body.

WHAAM! the sky itself seemed to split in half for as far as the eye could see as though it was simply a small twig being stepped upon. An irresistible pressure swept across the entire realm creating fissures in every direction. Mountains shattered into large fragments each shaking the ground for miles around. The previously mystical Floating islands slammed into the earth creating craters kilometres deep in the ground.

Following this complete and utter devastation of the realm a piercing cackle rang out throughout the skies. "Gyahaha, looks like luck has ran out for the Thrarion Demonic bloodline. First betrayed by your own wife, second by the all major clans of the world and now the final vestiges will be snuffed out today all because the people of the upper divine realms refuse to support a leader of the demon clans. Don't you think it's hilarious, eyy Ryu Thrarion?"

"Gyahahah. Finally the immense flame known as Thrarion will finally be extinguished on this day, can you imagine our joy?"

Grey's heart was already in tatters due to the despair caused by the devastating pressure and the near doomsday scenario of the previously beautiful realm belonging to his father, now listening to this mans words he truly felt all hope was lost. The air seemed to be dragged out of his lungs. His expression contained pure terror unbecoming of his previous cheerful temperament. His legs turned to jelly as his body slammed into the ground with an audible Thud! Reminiscent of the meteor like floating islands before him.

With a cold snort. Ryu Thrarion sent a gentle energy filled with his warmth and care to cover his sons body before looking at the man with a smug grin. Suddenly the energy sent by Ryu directly activated the small box in Greys body. Its draconic patterns seemed to come to life with a scarlet glow surrounding an area of hundreds of metres. In the centre of the dragon protected zone, space was forcibly dragged apart as if it was a simple piece of paper powerless to resist against the box's power.

A channel of unestimable depth slowly emerged in front of Grey's eyes. Its void like appearence representing his future loneliness and misery. He wanted to run. Run as far away as possible but it seemed as though an invisible hand was step by step, dragging him further and further into its solitude.

The man flicked his hand converging his omnicsient pressure onto Greys position in a futile attempt to prevent his transportation. "Tsk, Ryu! It seems that somebody informed you that we breached one of the Thrarion vaults otherwise you wouldn't be so prepared; to think someone is stupid enough to still support you in the current state of the world, however.."

"Are you truly so deluded that you think letting a child roam the outside world alone will allow your clan to continue its feeble existence? With no resources or support you think he can stand against the entire worlds forces?" He exclaimed with obvious displeasure yet also disdain.

Ryu however ignored his questions continuing with his regular ice cold stare. "Do you really believe that people can live without the warmth of fire? How long do you think it will take for the world see that a demon is not about the race but about the heart. A member of the demon race simply aims to follow their desires but a true demon is an agent of evil, harm, distress or ruin."

"No matter how weak a flame becomes as long as it still burns, all it needs is a small push to return once again to the raging inferno of of the past or even one of greater scale."

"Let us see how long the people of the world can last in in the embrace of a cold and dark world without our fire..." He stopped for a few seconds letting out a strangely calm sigh Before beginning in a loud shout "Remember Grey, even if everyone in the the world despises us. Labels us as demons. Even as the heavens themselves reject our existence!"

"Never reject our bloodline! Rejection is born from jelousy, jelousy is born from a lack of something we want but as a Thrarion there is nothing we cannot have. Our blazing inferno will once again cover the world in warmth! For the Thrarion clan will rise once more and regain our place at the pinnacle of this world!"

His voice boomed around the hundreds or surrounding realms millions of kilometres from their current location. These were the last words grey heard before his conciousness was imminently dragged into darkness of the spatial channel.

For the first time in Ryu's life, a warm tear streamed down his handsome face. 'I'm sorry Grey, my son. I'm sorry for not being with you during your childhood. Just like my father huh? How embarassing.'

...........................................

In a far away lower realm in a backwater corner of the outer universe. For the first time in the known history of this planet, the barrier - supposed impeneterable by gods ands immortals alike - isolating it from the outer universe was cracked spontaneously. Complete outrage spread like a plague within the upper echelons of its hierarchy as if expecting some form of world-ending calamity.

As if the Heavens themselves were outraged at the interference of this power, bolts of thunderous lightning rocketed down producing defeaning bangs from the sides of the crack. Posessing power completely irresistible, so nobody dared to investiagate.

Unfortunately however the heavens were destined to be unable to execute their wrath as unbeknowst the the habitants of this world a flash of Scarlet energy, like a shooting star, shot through the crack at a speed so fast nobody could even hope to even catch a glimpse.

To the people's confusion, the crack quitely dissipated as though it was never their to begin with. An old man with a sagely bearing and a flowered pattern in his aged eyes calmly stated whilst caressing his long grey beard "Looks like we are truly powerless to intervene in this mysterious event... Ahhhh if anything further happens we will execute the 'Emergency Gathering' Even if the issue is unrelated to the demonic path."

Nobody dared to oppose this man as he slowly faded into the void.
