First time in her entire life that Lizeth had finally got inside a real party, in a bar. However, she heard a lot about it from her friends who were fond of sneaking in with fake IDs.
She had also seen and read about the usual scene inside the bar, and she just hoped what she was about to experience tonight was not something like witnessing a brawl or being part of trouble herself.
She also didn't plan on hooking with someone, but she was open to flirting with strangers. But, just that, toying with words and no physical touch. She wasn't planning to be in a relationship yet, which could wait until at least two years.
Although, she was up for fun, purely fun.
Gaye pulled her to a bar, and they sat on the vacant seat.
"Gaye, are you going to order some drinks? Do you even have money?" Lizeth muttered to her friends as she noticed the prices on the menu list. Most of the drinks written there were unfamiliar to her, and aside from that none of those drinks were worth less than a hundred pesos.
Lizeth only got five hundred in her pocket. There's no way she would spend it for a drink that expensive.
"Don't worry, best. Have faith in your beauty. It will come to us for free," Gaye whispered at her while glancing seductively at a guy on the other side of the counter.
Not long after, the bartender approached them and handed them a yellow-colored drink. It was adorned with a pineapple slice and a little umbrella beside the straw.
"A gift for you from that guy over there," the bartender said as he pointed to one side.
"See?" Gaye giggled as she mumbled. "Now, all we have to do is to simply smile at that guy to thank him."
Lizeth glanced to where the bartender pointed and saw two men staring at her. She wondered which of them was the one who brought their drinks.
One of them seemed to be a little bit older than them. He seemed to be just in his twenty, he wore a rasta-designed hat and looked rugged, more like Bob Marley but with a younger and better-looking face. Although, he was staring straight towards her friend Gaye.
While the other one seemed to be in his thirties or forties, he wasn't smiling at her, his eyes were surely fixated on her. He appeared to be old for her, but he was also undeniably handsome.
He neatly pressed his hair. He looked more like an office guy without his suit. However, he looked great in his black body fit shirt. He may look like a dad, but a hunk daddy.
Lizeth smiled at him. She was sure that he was the one who brought them the drinks. He looked like have a deep pocket compared to Bob Marly, who locked eyes with her friend. Well, she just has to call him Bob Marley since she didn't know him yet and hunk daddy for the other guy.
Lizeth was always fond of giving names to the people whose names she didn't know.
Lizeth thought it seemed that he already got a crush on that hunky daddy. She smiled at him, but instead of him smiling back, he looked away and turned around. A sexy girl popped out beside him.
The lady was indeed sexier than her, looked more like a lady than her in general. Lizeth could guess that she was in her late twenties or maybe early thirties.
Lizeth twitched her mouth, 'Well, they surely fit for each other. I will look like just his child if I hang out with hunky daddy.' However, the way he stared at her was something Lizeth could never forget.
He felt like a magnet to her. It seemed it wasn't only because he looked hot. It seemed there was more to it. However, Lizeth would like to brush that thought off.
'He was just hot, and that's it,' she thought; in contrast, especially when she saw hunk daddy and the lady locked lips.
Instead of stalking over hunk daddy, Lizeth thought she better focus on her drink. Especially when she finally realized that it was actually Bob Marley who ordered them the drink, and he even ordered another one.
It tasted sweet, but Lizeth gulped it like a juice, and the tangy aftertaste almost burned her throat. She coughed, and Gaye laughed at her when she noticed her.
"Best, drink it slowly. It's not a juice. It's an alcoholic beverage," Gaye said then brought her attention back to Bob Marley.
Lizeth finished her drinks, but something around her seemingly changed. She didn't know if it was the place that was moving or it was only her vision. She wanted to tell Gaye about it, but she was on the dance floor with Bob Marley.
Lizeth felt suddenly dizzy, and she knew that if she got up from her seat, she might flop down to the floor. She felt terrible and couldn't fathom what she felt inside.
She was suddenly worried that she had just decided to lean her head on the counter. Hoping that her dizziness would go away if she would nap a bit, she didn't care anymore if she would be napping on a bar's counter.
Before she finally shut her eyes, she caught a hunky daddy looking at her. He seemingly was alone again. She wondered where the lady went, but she had to stop thinking that she had more important things to worry about, it was herself.
Gaye was busy, and it seemed that she would be on her own, and she could barely stand. She almost hated her decision of being there when a melodious manly voice uttered.
"Miss, are you okay?"
Lizeth tried her best to open her eyes, and when she did, she could help but mumble.
"Shit, it's hunky, daddy."
She shut her eyes, and the last thing she remembered was the sound of his giggles and his voice saying, "I heard that."
