Anderson lost it at the call of bingo and rushed to meet Hakeem outside who still stood calmly.
One thing humans were very sure of being was dumb. He stood unbothered just outside the house as Anderson came rushing at him. He knew he could miss him in ten milliseconds before he even came within his aura. Just before he got within his reach, he moved to the side thinking him falling into the side carpet grass was enough mercy to him, he could have let him fall into the concrete and break a few bones and maybe some teeth if he was lucky but not everything went as planned.
Just as he moved to the side of the other side grass, Anderson made a quick turn and followed him and in that short turn of event, that one millisecond difference that he was suppose to miss, He scented an aura that smelt like hiding, like the fur of a dog, A scent he used to smell on his sister when she would sneak into his house to visit him and he would ignore, but this was different, it was stronger but he couldn't quite place his fingers on why the scent was so familiar.
While in thought, he lost his balance, not because he was clumsy but because he was never clumsy. He was tackled down by Anderson who pinned him to the grass beneath them. Hakeem could smell the strong earth scent around him as he tried to move his hands but they were held down super hard by Anderson.
Hakeem looked into Anderson's amber eyes and they seemed to be glowing with playful daze in them. The honey-like strokes were in his eyes at intervals and his big frame converting the sun gave him the privilege of studying his eyes and taking in the scent of his aftershave and a dull musky scent. He smelled like lavender which he was sure was his shampoo but why was he noticing all these things, but he had a little moment of a rapid thud in his heart, the cold organ for a second made him feel something which finally brought him to reality.
Snapping out of his gaze, he tried to get Anderson off him with a little strength but to his surprise he didn't move a single inch from above him.
"That's strange…" Hakeem thought to himself.
Normally, if he applied that kind of strength to a human, they would be off him immediately or even be tossed off him but this didn't even more Anderson or show any element of him adding effort to keep him down.
He applied a little more strength this time and managed to raise Anderson's hand before he forced it back down again. Anderson had a nice build but the amount of power he wielded was not as human as it was supposed to be and this earned him a weird look from Hakeem on the grass.
Anderson saw the weird look on his face and he finally realized how creepy it was that he was just staring at him, not saying anything, neither was he beating him up, they just kept looking at each other till Hakeem started giving him a weird look.
Just before he could take himself off Hakeem, someone dragged him off him, and the person was Jeremy. He had a disapproved look on his face and he looked between both of us but Anderson couldn't show any emotions so he returned Jeremy's disapproved look with a stern one that read "Mind your business".
Jeremy went ahead and offered Hakeem a hand to take since he was still sitting on the grass on the side of the concrete pavement.
Hakeem looked up at the hand offered to him and muttered a thanks taking the hand. Jeremy helped him off his feet and tried to help him fix himself but Hakeem swatted his hands away. He looked around but didn't find Anderson, which meant was already inside. He followed Jeremy inside the house and just at the door, Jeremy invited him inside first and closed the door.
"I'm really sorry about Anderson's attitude earlier on, he has a really bad anger management issue but he's working on it," Jeremy made up an excuse for Anderson and from the expression of His face, He wasn't buying the facts Anderson could change from the way he just acted out.
When Hakeem didn't reply to him, he went up a little staircase up into an elevated part of the house, but before he completely disappeared, he yelled "Make yourself at home, I would be back," before going into the hallway probably leading towards the kitchen or other rooms.
Hakeem finally took his time to look around the house. From the outside, the whole house looked like a disoriented 3D cube box with random boxes shotting out of it like the way they built modern houses now. The inside was majorly white including the high up ceiling and the walls from the house that had a white plain wallpaper on it.
He looked at the other end of the living room and he spotted huge photos of them on the wall. They were individual image of five of them who stood for the Hallows, he recognized three out of the five people here which he guessed was the former drummer who he was replacing and another blond hair guy who bared a striking resemblance to thor from the movie, He didn't need anyone to him, this was their band house and they all lived here. While he was still standing observing his surroundings, the paintings, the weird long necked giraffe at the angle ninety degrees of the drive, Darla walked into the room towards him.
"Oh my God…" Darla muttered to herself as she could see stains of grass and earth on his black skinnies. So Jeremy wasn't kidding when he said Anderson turned into a savage and attacked him.
"I'm so sorry about what he did to you. Honestly, I don't know what he takes that makes him act this silly sometimes," Darla apologized. Hakeem only gave a tight lipped smile in return before looking away from her.
"Do you need something to eat, drink or I don't know anything else," Darla asked him, ushering him to the couch just beside the one she sat but he didn't sit, he just stood and kept looking around at the different shits hung or placed as adornments.
"Where can I find the bathroom please?," Hakeem finally smoked as he pointed at the stains of his trousers.
"Yeah straight down the hall, to the left, the third door," Darla replied, smiling warmly.
"Shit…" Darla said to herself as she realized she just sent him to Anderson's bathroom.
