Preface:
The first Apocalypse
The night was humid and foggy, twigs made the loudest noises and It got into everyone's spin. His clan didn't believe him but he could feel it, it was an ambush, It was no mistake that the chemtrail were closed down and they had to pass through the garlic farm, the sound of a werewolf hauling showed they were never, very near, he could smell their wet skin and their test for blood overflow, but Xerses was prepared, he received an intel from one of the elders in the Werewolves clan.
"They are getting close, Raria get prepared!," Xerses said while trying to keep his senses at max.
"You don't have to tell me…," Raria was saying before she held the bark of order.
"Now!!!!" Xerses yelled.
She exploded the various bags of silver they surrounded themselves with. It all happened in a flash, she saw huge werewolves jump them through the fog, Xerses was right, they really were surrounded and the smell of garlic clouded her senses and she was sure others too.
Before the werewolves could get any blood spilled from them, she materialize the silvers she had tore apart into dust, piercing hauling noise rang through the entire forest as flashes of silver appeared to pierce through werewolves, causing them to go back to human forms as they cried in pain as the metals kept burning through their body.
Even though the plan was super risky especially for her who had used up all her magic to keep two dungeons worth of silver suspended in air for minutes before materializing them back, she learned to trust the head of her clan.
Current year:
The cold air still managed to worm it's way through into the car even though the windows were all shut. That was the least of his worries, he could smell the tarmacs all the way through the woods as they headed to the airport. Anderson could feel the little dip in the melody of his heart beat, this was going to be their last performance for their tour the nostalgic wave with all his band members before they retire back to writing songs and finding fresh producers for new sounds.
As summertime time in paris kept playing in the background, his phone went off as Darla initiated a personal video call between two of them, Darla has always been the one who understood him the most even tho she was the last to be recruited into the band or the fact that she was the only female amongst four werewolves.
"Hey Darla," Anderson said to a sleepy looking Darla, she was wearing a white fluffy head warmer with black shirt with a huge black cat print with a set piercing blue eyes almost reminding him of her when she was in her beast form, Darla was just weird like that, a werewolf that had a thing for cats even though he thought it was weird.
"Derson, it's a surprise you are not crying," Darla said chuckling a bit. This exactly what he meant by she understood him the most, he was always known for being this tough, cold and heartless son of the Alpha, some even rumoured that he didn't have a heart and his mind was of raw gravestones, hence why he was immune to vampire's hypnosis, but what they never knew was emotion was his biggest and weakness, he has never seen himself in the mirror all warm and fuzzy, neither has he seen anyone who who has caused this effect, hence why he stayed cold, according to what papa joe always told him, "staying cold never let you go stale".
"Oh please, shut up," Anderson said, laughing as she propped her eyebrows up and he knew what was coming next, the re cap she was always every ready to bring up whenever he denied any thing she accuses him off, he could see her adjusting in her sit and she was going full-on story mode.
"So just about almost this time last year when we were at Rockwell park, performing our last track and last song from the tour and we were all pumped but there was you feeding on cookie dough ice cream with dramatic tears…" Darla narrated as the embarrassment on Anderson seemed to feul her to continue telling the story.
"Enough Darla, I get it, I get nostalgic at the end of every tour because I don't want it to end sometimes," Anderson said laughing as the airport came in view ahead of him.
"I understand," Darla said smiling at him.
"We are almost at the airport," Anderson said clearing his throat.
"I know Derson, I'm not blind and it's the tarmac is starting to really disturb my head," Darla said, rolling her eyes.
"So, has Willy told you anything?," Darla said timidly, watching Anderson expression, and not seeing the reaction she was expecting to see, just confusion. She regretted asking about it because she knew Anderson, he would never let go and go all next Alpha mode on her till she spewed what ever she was about to say.
"No, he hasn't told me anything Darla, is there anything I should know perhaps?," Anderson asked narrowing his eyes at Darla, if there was anything he didn't like, it was it was secrets between people he trusted.
"Oh, It's nothing, just that was asking his he had knew drumming progressions you know how he is, always trying to stay current," Darla lied through her teeth.
"Oh, is there anything wrong with the one he's using now?," Anderson asked confused, Williams was about to get married to the group publicist. Not that he had any problem with that, just that she was the only human amongst them who knew that they were all werewolves and also he didn't want to stress him about any work because he was already stressed about the wedding, that was why they chose this location as their last place for performance, it was just a twenty minutes drive from Barbara's home town were they were going to be having a little cottage wedding in New jersey.
"No no, nothing is wrong, just wanted to check in with you if you had similar thoughts too," Darla quickly replied not wanting the lie to accelerate further.
"Well goodbye, Anderson and see you at the airport," Darla said ending the call with a sigh of relief, she almost ruined the moment for Willy even though he told her he would personally tell Anderson and she only got to know because she was friends with Barbara and part of her bride's maid.
They arrived at the airport heading for New jersey, and Chris arrived last at the airport with the usual excuse he always gave, either there was a huge traffic or they ran into a deer even though they drove through the woods full of just domestic bears or they drove through the city.
"Hey, so who is pumped about our last performance," Jeremy said patting one of the sound engineers on the back as we headed to their private jet parked in the New jersey airport for maintenance purpose.
"I don't man, but ok, I mean I'm just a sound engineer, I'm just here to make sure you have no technical difficulties," the guy said nervously, re adjusting his glasses staring at Chris who was towering over him with blond hair and blue eyes almost reminding him of Thor.
"I mean but I'm excited to meet my family again after over 2months of touring around the world," The guy said looking down smiling a bit.
Anderson caught the smiling as he looked at the short guy beside Chris who was wearing his regular leather jacket with blue jeans that seemed to reveal a lot of his activities at the gym. But it was the word 'family' that got to him. Asides his mom and dad with his cousin sister, he didn't have anyone else who was like family to him, even though he had the band members, Some of them alreadyl had a significant other but he had never seen anybody to make his heart beat out of rhythm except when he was on his killing spree with Vampires.
"Family…" He muttered to himself.
