Chereads / I am trash! [BL] / Chapter 15 - Why do you look so interested?

Chapter 15 - Why do you look so interested?

"Is there a problem?" Xin asked after noticing Wang GuiYing's odd facial expressions.

"Your username shows invalid," Wang GuiYing spoke as he tried his best to make the question sound as polite as he could, "Is it because your ID was disabled?"

Xin gave a nod without saying anything and Wang GuiYing continued.

"In that case, did you steal someone else's ID?"

'There! I asked...!' Wang GuiYing celebrated in his head.

This time, there was a bit of hesitation from Xin's side before the man spoke, "I did."

"So how long have been stuck here?" Wang GuiYing couldn't beat around the bush anymore and he straightforwardly asked, leaning forward a bit as he did.

"A year."

"Eh?"

"It's been three years since I started using the ID but it was disabled only a year ago."

The calculation was rather easy and hence Wang GuiYing mentally calculated the years before he asked, "So it took two years for the original owner to find out that his ID had been hacked?"

Xin nodded his head as he confirmed it.

Wang GuiYing frowned as he saw this and suddenly, he felt as if the original owner was more at fault than the thief.

"How come no one came to get you for over a year?" Wang GuiYing slightly tilted his head as he asked.

Xin shrugged his shoulders with a sigh as he spoke, "I'm sure they only recently realized my existence."

At first, Wang GuiYing couldn't understand what the man had said but his eyes slowly widened as he started having the realization.

Once the ID had been disabled, everyone must have thought that the problem had been solved. How could they guess that this man was still stuck inside the game with no way out...?!

Perhaps it was lucky for them to have at least found him now or else, he would have had to wait a lot more years.

"Why do you look so interested?" Xin curiously asked as he looked at Wang GuiYing.

Wang GuiYing gulped as he waved his hands in front of his head, "That's not it! That's not it! I was just making small talk."

'Have you been deprived of human interaction for so long that now you're considering such stuff as small talk...?! Just shut up and save yourself some face!' Wang GuiYing scolded himself in his head.

"By the way, you looked really amazing back there!" Wang GuiYing complimented the man and changed the topic as he spoke with great enthusiasm, "I've never seen someone look that graceful while easily beating a three-headed giant! You looked so overpowered and cool! I almost fell for you!"

As soon as that latter sentence slipped through his mouth, he immediately shut up and started regretting his every life decision.

'It was going great... Just why the f*ck would you tell the man that you almost fell in love with him?! You stupid trash! You idiot! You asshole!'

No matter what went around Wang GuiYing's head and no matter how embarrassed he was, on the surface, his face did not betray any of his feelings and he looked totally calm and collected as he confidently stared back at Xin as if he hadn't said anything wrong.

There was a small hint of a smile tugging at Xin's lips as the man replied, "That wouldn't be so bad."

'Eh?' Wang GuiYing couldn't say anything and for a minute, his head went completely blank. This time, his face also betrayed him and he looked at Xin with his eyes wide open in surprise and his lips slightly parted.

Xin turned around and started walking towards the three magical stones that were left behind by the creature.

'That wouldn't be so bad....?!' When the shock settled in, Wang GuiYing repeated Xin's words in his head and no matter how hard he tried to interpret it, in the end, he only came to the same conclusion, 'Did this man just try to flirt with me?!'

Wang GuiYing enjoyed being idolized by his fans and he also enjoyed being hit on, but he never felt shy or bothered by it. To him, all those people who took an interest in him were nothing more than nameless faces that he would rather not remember. He never expected anything from them and he never even thought about reciprocating their feelings or even giving them a clear response.

However, for the first time in his life, he felt flushed. He felt embarrassed and slightly happy. His heart skipped a beat and his feelings seemed to have betrayed him.

He was sure that Zhou Xinyi was the only one who could ever make him feel such honest feelings, but it seemed that he was wrong.

For some unknown reason, he felt the same connection with Xin as well, and that both excited him and confused him.

Xin took the three magical stones and immediately collected them without even bothering to ask whether Wang GuiYing wanted to split it up and take half.

For a second there, Wang GuiYing had wondered whether Xin was Zhou Xinyi, but now that he saw the man collecting the magical stones for himself, he was sure that the two weren't connected at all.

If it had been Zhou Xinyi, the man would have handed over the magical stones to Wang GuiYing without any questions asked and he would have been happy to do it.

Zhou Xinyi had simply always been like that.

Wang GuiYing had always received so much from the man and had never been able to return even half of what he had received.

Now that he thought about it, he wondered why Zhou Xinyi was always content and never disappointed to be the only one giving.

"Let's go," Xin spoke up as he walked back over towards Wang GuiYing and softly knocked on the man's forehead, "What were you thinking?"

"I was just thinking about how different you are from Xinyi."

"..."

Wang GuiYing didn't regret saying it as he confidently looked back at Xin and continued, "I feel like it would be fun to get to know you."

He didn't regret telling the man that he was different from Xinyi, but he did regret adding that latter part, 'The man tried to flirt with you just a few seconds ago! How can you forget about that?! Did you leave your brain back at home?! How could you say that to him and give him hope?! You stupid trash, stop flirting with this ID thief!'

Xin had a small smile on his face as he heard Wang GuiYing, but he didn't bother saying anything as a response, and instead, he changed the topic as he asked, "Is there anywhere in particular that you were headed to?"

Wang GuiYing gulped as he heard this question and nodded his head as he remembered Huang Zhen and Li Ying.

"Are they your team members?" Xin tilted his head as he asked.

Wang GuiYing thought about it for a minute before he shook his head and honestly replied, "Not exactly, but they have agreed on helping me find Zhou Xinyi."

"Are they important?" Xin asked without missing a beat and Wang GuiYing felt a little surprised by this question.

"Eh?"

"Is it okay even if you ditch them?" Xin rephrased the question and asked again.

"Well," Wang GuiYing gulped as he took a minute to respond, "It wouldn't really matter even if I do ditch them but I don't know if they'll be happy with it."

Xin had a small smile on his face as he heard this, "Then ditch them."

"..."

"In any case, you just want to find Zhou Xinyi in this game, right?"

Wang GuiYing nodded his head.

"I can help you find him," Xin reassured as he tried to convince the man, "I don't work well in a larger team so if you go back to them, I won't be joining you."

Wang GuiYing frowned as he heard this.

The man was clearly giving him a choice. He could choose to let Li Ying and Huang Zhen tag along or he could go and form a team with this man who seemed to be a pretty talented player.

He had known Li Ying and Huang Zhen for a really long time now and the only reason why they had entered this game was because they wanted to help him find hulk so naturally, he should have been able to make an easy decision, choosing them.

However, at the moment, Wang GuiYing was ready to abandon those two simply because he felt the need to know this man a bit better.

He felt sorry for Huang Zhen and Li Ying but at the end of the day, his gut feeling told him to follow this man and so he did.

"Then, where are we going now?" Wang GuiYing beamed as he questioned, not even bothering to voice out the apparent choice that he had made.

Xin looked to be satisfied with this response but he only said a simple word as a response, "Let's go."
