He was only able to take a few steps before the ground beneath his feet suddenly started shaking and eventually, he realized that his feet were slowly being swallowed up by the ground.
"What the hell!" Wang GuiYing cursed at the top of his tongue as he tried to escape but the more he moved, the faster the ground swallowed him up.
Before he knew it, his torso was already buried inside the ground, and eventually, his head went under it as well.
When he was completely swallowed up by the ground, the earth stopped shaking and there was no longer any trace of Wang GuiYing left behind on the surface.
Wang Guiying groaned as his butt suddenly hit the solid rocky ground and he cursed under his breath as he looked around in confusion.
He felt as if he had the worst luck. It hadn't even been that long since he had arrived in this game and he was already falling for these kinds of traps.
He pushed himself off the ground and noticed that he was now inside a cave tunnel.
With a frown on his face, he rubbed his butt and walked forward, analyzing everything he could see inside the cave tunnel.
After walking for a few minutes, his footsteps came to a sudden halt as he felt wind brushing against his skin.
His eyebrows creased together and he waited to see if there was a breeze and unexpectedly enough, he was right to have noticed it.
There really was a small breeze inside this cave tunnel which meant that there was probably an opening somewhere around.
He quickened his pace and started walking in the opposite direction of the breeze. However, before he could see an opening, his footsteps once again came to a halt when he heard the sound of another player.
His eyebrows creased together once again and a small frown formed on his lips as he carefully peeked through the corner and tried to see who it was.
It seemed that he was not the only one who had been trapped inside this cave and the other person was actually injured as well.
Wang GuiYing was a healer and hence, if he wanted to, he could very well help the other player, however, whether he wanted to or not depended on his mood, and at the moment, it didn't look like he was eager to help the other player.
He simply kept hiding and didn't even bother showing himself to the other player.
The player groaned as he grabbed his stomach which looked as if it had been cut open by a pair of sharp lion claws. On top of his head, where a username should have been displayed, the words 'Not valid' shined brightly.
It took Wang Guiying a minute to realize that this was the ID thief that Li Ling and Zhihao were looking for.
He couldn't believe his luck. He had refused to go find this man but it seemed that it was fate for him to have found him without even trying.
Wang GuiYing's first thought was to contact Li Ling and inform him, but he soon realized that he had no way of contacting Li Ling at the moment.
He quietly sat down on the ground and kept watching the player groan in pain as he thought about what he was supposed to do in such a situation.
A few minutes passed and the player looked as if he was ready to pass out from the pain, however, Wang GuiYing still chose to sit and watch, without bothering to lend a helping hand.
A few more minutes passed and the player really did pass out. This time, Wang Guiying stood up and carefully walked closer to the player as he inspected the man's body.
From the magic tools that the player kept near him, it was clear that he was a mage.
"Could a mage help me find him?" Wang GuiYing muttered out loud as he thought to himself.
If this man were going to be useful for him then he'd probably be willing to help right now, but first, he had to make sure whether he would be useful or not.
"Hmm..." Wang GuiYing crouched down near the player's body and flipped him gently as he took a look at the man's face.
His eyes immediately widened in shock and he fell speechless as he saw the face that looked alike that of Zhou Xinyi. If he had seen him from afar, he would have almost believed that this really was Zhou Xinyi.
Since he was looking at the face from this close, he could clearly tell the difference between this man and Zhou Xinyi, but at the same time, he couldn't overlook the fact that the two really did look alike.
The player had his eyebrows creased together in pain, his face was quite red and his lips were also turned down in a frown.
He was probably having a nightmare...
At first, Wang GuiYing had no interest in helping this man but now that he saw the man's face, his heart softened up a bit.
His hands reached out to touch the man's forehead and he gently kneaded out the wrinkles.
With a sigh, he closed his eyes and started to heal the man as he spoke, "You better thank that handsome face for this."
If the man had not looked like Zhou Xinyi then Wang GuiYing would have probably ignored him and left.
Slowly, the man's complexion started getting better and the wrinkles on his forehead also started disappearing. In a matter of a few seconds, Wang GuiYing was done healing the man but the man was yet to wake up.
The injury was probably not the only reason why the man had passed out. He had passed out from exhaustion as well and hence, it looked like he needed to rest a bit before being able to wake up again.
Wang GuiYing didn't try to wake the man up nor did he look to be in any rush to do that as he quietly crossed his legs and sat beside the man's sleeping body.
Wang GuiYing rested his chin on the palm of his hand and with his head tilted towards the right ever so slightly, he kept staring at the player's face.
It was quite interesting...
This man was clearly not Zhou Xinyi and yet, Wang GuiYing couldn't help but feel as if he was really alike that man. If Zhou Xinyi had a brother then Wang GuiYing would've definitely assumed that this would be how the man's brother would look like. However, as far as Wang GuiYing was aware, Zhou Xinyi was an only child.
Once the players were inside the game, their gaming characters would perfectly match up with their real-life characteristics and appearance. However, the man sleeping in front of him was a thief who had stolen someone else's gaming ID, and hence, this was probably not how he looked like.
Wang GuiYing really wanted to question this man whether he was related to Zhou Xinyi or not but this sleeping face belonged to the man whose ID had been stolen and hence, he couldn't question anything to the thief who probably had no idea who the original owner was.
Wang GuiYing sighed as he explored his inventory and checked what items he had been given. He carefully read all the instructions and made sure to memorize them since he had nothing better to do.
He was already trapped inside this cave and it was troublesome to look for an exit.
About half an hour passed and Wang GuiYing had already memorized all the items he owned in the inventory. He was doing meditation when the ID thief started opening his eyes and woke up.
A small smile tugged at Wang GuiYing's lips as he mentally thought, 'Even their eyes were alike...'
Surprisingly enough, Wang GuiYing was glad to see the man waking up but the man clearly didn't feel the same.
As soon as the player saw Wang GuiYing, his eyes widened in shock, and he let out a horrified cry.
"..." Wang GuiYing pursed his lips into a thin line and tried his best not to knock the man out once again, "Why the hell are you screaming as if you just saw a ghost?!"
The man didn't say anything as a response and instead, rubbed his eyes as if checking whether there was something wrong with his vision or not.
Wang GuiYing couldn't help but frown as he saw this reaction.
'This was probably not the most polite reaction to a person who had just saved his life,' Wang GuiYing mentally thought.
After a few minutes, when the shock finally started settling down, the player crawled back cautiously, "Y-You!"
It looked like the man had a lot of questions to ask but unfortunately, he wasn't able to word out any of them and Wang GuiYing also didn't have time to waste around.
With a sigh, Wang GuiYing pushed himself off the ground and stretched his hand out forward towards the man as he spoke, "I'm BBtrash."
"..."
"I just saved your life so you owe me. You can return the favor by helping me find someone," Wang GuiYing didn't bother beating around the bush as he spoke.
"Find someone...?" The player tilted his head in confusion as he repeated.
"Hulk," Wang GuiYing replied without missing a beat, "I want you to help me find a player called Hulk0_0."
"..."
