Kenny was blinded by pure rage as he bashed his fists on the window while screaming out his younger sister's name. He swore a look of concern flashed to her face as she looked at him just before the crazies blocked his view of her. His heart jolted when a group of crazies began bashing their bodies and fists on the window with either the look of fear or determination to kill in their eyes. Kenny couldn't think straight as he didn't want to believe his sister was one of them.
"Come on, we need to get out of here." Y/N said while grabbing his arm.
Kenny pulled her hand away as he pulled out something from his pocket. Both the girls eyes grew wide as he pointed the gun he had hidden in his parka to his temple.
"NO DON'T!!" Y/N and the brunette yelled as Y/N threw herself at the gun and knocked it out of his hands. Unfortunately the gun DID fire causing the glass to shatter and the crazies flood in the room.
Y/N didn't think as she tightened her grip on Kenny's arm and guided him quickly to the door. One thing the two didn't notice was the new accessory that the brunette was wearing, it was a respiratory that was found in the lab. The two still had something covering their nose and mouths from the deadly source entering their system, they were looking at an ingenious idea the two didn't think of at all. The only problem was, the room was filled with crazies right now.
Kenny couldn't seem to think clearly at all as he had so much anger built up but no where to put it.
"She's gone.... my baby sister.. she's fucking gone." He said while leaning against the lockers and slowly slid down on the ground while staring at his feet.
The two girls didn't know what to do other then sit next to the boy.
"Kenny... I'm sorry." Y/N said while placing her hand on the boy's hand.
This only caused him to hide his face as he couldn't hold back some heavy tears.
The brunette remained quiet as she let out a sigh and stood on her feet. Y/N was confused until the girl walked to the chemistry lab door again.
"What are you doing?" Y/N asked.
"Ending her suffering." She softly spoke while pushing the door open. The two quickly got to their feet and rushed to the door but saw she barricaded the entrance with a chair while wedging it underneath the doorknob. Kenny yelled out loud while watching through door frame. Y/N bashed her fists against the door while hollering for the girl to stop. The two noticed the crazies were only drawn to them banging on the door as they blocked the view of the door frame causing Kenny to get more angry than ever. Without another thought, he took off running to a different classroom.
Y/N followed while trying her best to not let her nervousness cause her to blow their cover by more crazies again. As the two successfully went to the classroom right next to the chemistry lab, Kenny rushed to the window while trying to open it. Y/N practically threw herself at the blonde while hugging him from behind and prying him off the window. "DON'T, DON'T OPEN IT!" She yelled out loud. "Your blinded by rage, stop this your going to get yourself killed!!"
"Leave me alone and get out of here!" He ordered while giving her a small push.
She was about to yell at him but her eyes fell next to him as her mouth gapped slightly open causing Kenny to look back. His eyes grew wide as he saw the brunette with the gas mask holding hands with Karen as they both were now running away from a group a crazies on their tail. The two didn't have time to think, all Kenny could think was. 'Karen, but how is she not one of them? That the fuck is going on?'
"Wait, they are heading to the gym!" Y/N yelled while grabbing Kenny by the arm and guiding him out the door.
"The students won't let anyone in or out of there. We need to get their attention somehow." Kenny stated.
"It's okay. I'll run ahead and grab their attention to come in through one of the other classrooms. Meet me there alright?" She said while letting him go and sprinted down the hallway and checked all the classroom doors for one that wasn't locked. Luckily she finally found one and quickly made her way inside and rushed to the window seeing the two still running. Y/N banged on the window causing the two to glance over. Y/N held her breath as he opened the window for the two. The two practically dove through the window. The moment they were inside, Y/N closed the w it window while the crazies that were following the girls began to bang on the window. It wasn't long before Kenny showed his face at the door.
"Karen.." He softly spoke.
Karen looked up at her brother as instant tears flooded her face. Kenny nearly lost his footing as he ran at her and slid on his knees while attacking her with a powerful embrace. Tears falling from his cheek as he hugged her even tighter. Opening his eyes, he saw the brunette remove the gas mask while giving a sympathetic look toward him and his sister.
He was still hugging Karen when he spoke up toward the shy brunette. "Thank you.. Thank you so much, I owe you my life." He said while finally letting go of Karen and holding his hand out. The two still on the ground when the brunette blushed while holding her hand out to Kenny, "You don't owe me anything." She spoke very softly.
He flashed a smile as he shook her hand, "You claim I don't owe you anything but I'll make you a promise, I'll be sure to protect you with all my life. It's the least I can do for the girl that saved both me and my baby sister. What's you name?" He asked.
The girl's cheeks burning as she softly spoke, "Delilah.. My name is Delilah."
"It's nice to meet you Delilah, I hope you don't mind me being with you at all times." He said with a smile that didn't seem to leave his face.
His statement caused her stomach to butterfly like crazy as she looked away unable to hide her embarrassment as she said. "I don't mind."
As the two were having their little conversation, Karen stood up while walking over to Y/N.
"Is he always like this with girls?" Y/N asked seeing how he was now flirting with the girl.
Karen only giggled as she nodded. "Yeah, that's my brother right there. Even though he's a bit much at times, he has the kindest heart I have ever seen in a man. He's truly the best brother I could ask for."
