It had been decided while Kyle and Cartman were gone that Craig and Stan were in charge of the Senior group. The other grades agreed on two leaders in their grade to help prevent unnecessary stress on the two boys considering there for so many students.
Craig and Stan were with a few Seniors discussing the next plan when Stan saw something off in the distance catching his attention. Glancing over he saw the injured red head next to Kyle smoking a joint. He spoke up a bit loudly toward the girl, "I know that this is a stressful time but is this really the time to be doing that right now?"
She looked up at him while giving him a weird look, "lighten up you square this is only thing keeping me sane right...." At that moment she started harshly coughing. She suddenly started choking and coughed up a lung. She couldn't seem to stop coughing in her hands as it was clear it was sharp and painful. Once she finally was able to stop and catch her breath she showed her hands with a small amount of mucusy blood. Students backed away from her as they pointed. "Oh my god.. she's one of them!"
"Someone kill her!!" Another shouted.
The red head held up her hands in defense. "N-No I'm not one of them I swear.."
A bigger kid walked up to her and cracked his knuckles. She coward back in fear when someone stepped up between her and the bigger guy.
She was a bit shocked as it was Kyle.
Craig approached the three as he spoke up. "Kyle, it's clear she's been infected. You just need to face the fact that she needs to go."
"She's not though! Yeah she's sick but there's something different. I think she's the answer to our problem. She's not fully turning."
"It doesn't matter! She's still a threat!" The bigger student said while reaching out to her. Kyle backed against her as if creating a wall to protect her.
"We are not going to harm her." He said while grinding his teeth.
Jess's heart ached as she looked at Kyle who was really trying his best to save her.
That's when Stan stepped up, "Kyle.. you have to listen to Craig. Look at her. She's clearly one of them."
Kyle looked over at his friend while looking back at the red haired girl. She was so scared she was shaking. It was clear she wasn't at all the same as the first time he saw her. It was as if she changed into a completely new person.
"If that's how you really feel, then I go too."
This caused several gasps on the crowd.
"Kyle what are you saying?! Why are you defending this girl so hard?" Stan asked as he was growing angry.
"Why is no one listening to me! Yes she was violent at first and the fact that she was breathing in the harmful substance in the air threw me off as well. But the fact that she's fine all the sudden makes me think that she is the key to our problem. And if you all can't see that then I guess you're all morons!" Kyle said while grabbing the girl's hand and making his way out of the gym.
"Kyle don't go!" Stan yelled.
He didn't seem to listen as he left with the girl. However he didn't expect a few to follow behind.

Kyle had two respirators with him as he gave her one even though she didn't need one, he still didn't want her breathing in the chemical.
The moment they both stepped outside, they took it all in that the world has changed.
"What are we doing?" She whispered as she noticed crazies all around them.
"We need to find the reason why this all started and I have an idea where that might be." He said while not letting go of her hand and guiding her past all the freaks running around and screaming.
As they were both walking they noticed the weirdest thing. They were near the crazies but it seemed the people didn't want any part of them. In fact they walked away from them. It was odd but they didn't have much facts as to why it was happening.
As they finally approached a tall and ominous laboratory up on a steep hill, Kyle squeezed her hand tight as he pushed the gate open and made their way inside the building. However they didn't notice several students following behind as well.
